How the event works:

I give out a code in the designated chat channel on IRC.  No one claims it... they sit, patiently, waiting... watching... once I say its ok to claim it, then you can race and claim it.  If everyone followed the rules and no one claimed it before I said so, then we increase the value and continue on.  We will continue to increase the values of the credits, possibly into the thousands per code, until such time that someone stabs everyone in the back and claims the credit early before everyone else was given the go-ahead. The game is now over.

Rules:

1) You must use your Game Name in chat.

2) You must have at least 40 hours of actual work done on your account prior to the event.  (Not just logged in time, but verifiable evidence by me that this is not a disposable account for the "lulz")

3) Your account start date must be prior to this threads date.

4) The rules will be explained in #divinelunacy at 22:00, then everyone will be asked to join a special room. at 22:02 that room will be locked and no one will be able to gain entrance to that room. If you leave, you will be unable to come back. If you disconnect, you will be unable to come back.

5) You consent that you may piss someone off and you may get killed by another player because you backstabbed them.

These will be timerless credits.  You can win multiple ones.

40 hours seems a bit extreme for those of us who arn't playing full time, but still want to attempt to play.

Aye. but it has to be. Everyone has their price, but their price is directly linked to how much value they put on their current character combined with how much they put on their own bloodlines reputation.  I'm sure a well known player like TyrionLannister's price before he is willing to fuck over his own entire past and future blood line's reputation would be a metric fuckton higher than a bloodline named "3l337Killah who is either on a incog name, or brand new and can restart a new bloodline without any real loss.

Having an account with a start date older than now, and having at least 40 hours of actual work work done into an account means that even the guy with the least amount to lose, still has a little bit of work to lose.  Someone with a random name with no real bloodline that is not even identifiable has literally nothing to lose, so they can take the pot at a much much much lower number and make the entire game end in a few minutes before it can even get interesting.

It's just a slight safeguard to provide a more entertaining experience and create highest amount of fairness, with the least amount of inconvenience for group as a whole.
