Templar drew in a heavy breath as he watched the blood spill across the sands of Las Vegas and other cities. He stood at a window looking out and then drew up a chair at his desk. Freeatlast had sat there for a while just in silence waiting to see what Templar had called him in his office for hours earlier. As he set down at his desk Templar finally looked up at Freeatlast and then pulled out a bottle of whiskey. After pouring two glasses he shoved one over to him and then downed his quickly himself. "Freeatlast.. Where is Spartacus?" Templar had already poured another glass and this time just looked down at it. "The last time I saw him he was out in the sands behind the HQ where he always is. You need him?" Freeatlast looked at Templar a bit concearned. "Bring him here." Templar downed the glass with sheer fierocity and then watched as Freeatlast shot out of the door. He almost wondered how Spartacus would react as soon as Templar got his hands on him but he knew he was best suited for this line of work. Not long after leaving Spartacus entered in the doorway. "Templar?" Sand still clung to Spartacus's shoes as stepped into the office. He didn't say a word as he walked up to the desk and awaited to hear from Templar himself. Templar just sat there for a moment looking up at the man, and then he nodded. Slowly Spartacus pulled out a chair across from the desk and sat down. "You look as if you have seen death brother." Spartacus reached for the bottle of whiskey to and quickly Templar swiped it away and set a pair of keys in front of Spartacus. Staring down at them and then back up to Templar Spartacus slowly picked them up and then felt the heavy weight of them in his hand. "Spartacus.. You have been with me from the very beginning. You served me in LA and now in LV. Your work has never gone unnoticed nor has your loyalty to myself and this city. It is time." Spartacus looked down at the keys and then back up at Templar and nodded. "I know the honor that this is, and I will continue to do everything I can for this city and you. You are my brothers and sisters." He slowly stood up and then grasped the keys in his hand tightly and gave a small smile as he listened to the rain begin fall outside the walls. |
