A deeply saddened Latin emerges onto the streets to deliver some news to the masses. Still shaken up from the night before, he staggers to the front of the crowd and begins his address.

In light of the recent war that claimed the life of my dear friend Phantom, God rest his soul, his RHM Karmen will be stepping up to fill the void left here in Downtown. Phantom did and absolutely outstanding job while he worked with me and in establishing a family of his own. Karmen will have big shoes to fill, but she has been a great asset to the city, filling it with color, always ready to help everyone feel like a community here and that's something we really need right now. I'm sure she will be wonderful in helping me rebuild a district devastated by war once again. This isn't the first time I've been faced with the challenge of rebuilding a district but we will always persevere. Like the mythical bird I wear as my sigil we will be reborn from our ashes once more. Congratulations Karmen.

A brief smile spreads across Latin's face as he hands Karmen the keys to her new headquarters. These were the moments he got into the business for, but he can't help thinking about recent events and the smile quickly fades as he leaves the crowd, headed in the direction of a local speakeasy.

Congrats Karmen, you'll make a great leader!

Karmen had attended the funeral of her Boss, Phantom, but the last almost twenty-four hours hadn't really seemed real until she heard Latin say that he wanted her to step up to fill the void that was left by Phantom's death. She looked over at Latin as he smiled and handed her the keys to her new headquarters.

Her own headquarters! Wow! She thought to herself, while feeling the chill of the keys in her hand.

When Latin's smile began to fade away and he walked away in the opposite direction, she turned towards the crowd that had gathered around. She could feel the eyes of all of Downtown, Detroit on her as she cleared her throat and tried to stop her hands from shaking. She never imagined herself standing in front of a ton of people in such sad circumstances, but she wanted to make Phantom proud so she cleared her throat one more time and began to speak.

"In the midst of this tragedy in Downtown, I will accept Godfather Chairman Latin's offer to lead my own crew. I will be doing this in Phantom's honor, because he got me here. All he wanted was to see his members succeed, and if he could see me now, I think he would know that he did something right."

She stopped talking for a second to gather herself, and then continued by saying, "I know I have big, big shoes to fill, and I will definitely give it my best try! So, I have decided to name my crew The Oakley Outfit. And Phantom, this one is for you! Rest in peace, boss!"

After she was done talking, Karmen took another quick look around at all the people that had gathered. She stepped down from the box and made her way into the crowd to talk with everyone before heading to her new HQ.

 Romulus raises a glass in the air. "congratulation Karmen!"

Thank you all SOOO MUCH! This is a huge honor for me.

Britney heard rumors of the news that the chairman was about to make one hell of an announcement. She knew she had to be present on the streets and made sure she was one of the first to be in the crowds. She waited until Latin appeared to make the announcement. Britney's face lite up with excitement and couldn't wait to congratulate Karmen. Making her way through the crowd she spotted Karmen off to the side of the podium accepting congratulations from numerous others Patiently... well not very patiently until it was finally her turn.

She walked up to Karmen, giving her a big hug

"Congratulation Karmen, its so awesome seeing you get a crew of your own. Looking forward to seeing how you will better Detroit even more then it is. Best of luck to you hun and congrats."

Britney gave Karmen another hug before walking off, trying to find what mischief she could get into.

Karmen smiled big as Britney-Spears approached her and then gave her a huge hug. She listened as Britney said, "Congratulation Karmen, its so awesome seeing you get a crew of your own. Looking forward to seeing how you will better Detroit even more then it is. Best of luck to you hun and congrats."

She replied with a quick thank you and then Britney gave her another hug before walking off with a mischievous look on her face.

Although my heart is sad for the loss of Phantom, seeing you Karmen stepping up brings a smile to my face.  Congratulations Lady!  Well deserved!

WOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! GO Karmen GO! 

Throws in firecrackers away from the people that were gathered before Godfather Latin's speech. And at the same time, few drops of tears of both sorrow and joy, from seeing a new Boss he could put on his full trust in and remembering his late Boss - Phantom, that died in the recent war...

Although Joe didn't know Karmen real well, his father had spoken very highly of her.  He respected his dad's judgment so he knew he had to make his way to congratulate her.

Congrats Karmen!  My father spoke very highly of you and would be very proud to be here and see you have your own HQ.  I look forward to getting to know you as well as him!

Tony Capazzo steps foward as he sees a opening to speak.

Congratulations Karmen. I am so very proud of you on this accomplishment. It's a big step and I know you'll do well. Phantom's death really rocked Detroit but I know you'll do well to fill the void there in Downtown alongside our Godfather Chairman. I wish you the best of luck and all the success in the world. If you ever need anything Black Bottom will be there for you without hesitation. Congratulations once again Don Karmen!

With that Tony tips his green ribboned fedora to his friend and smiles. He takes a step back allowing someone else a chance to give there congratulatory greetings.

As Luigi listens to Latin's announcement of Karmen's promotion he thinks back to when Phantom took him under his wing and saved his life. Karmen was one of the first to jump in there and help teach him the ropes, and than when Phantom was killed, she helped him find a new family. After the announcement and Karmens acceptance of her new position, Luigi waits to congratulate her.

"Congratulations Karmen, Latin couldn't have picked a better person. May God Bless you and your new family"

Luigi than turns and leaves for the airport to start his new life in LV, and his new family.

Karmen was astonished at all of the people that were coming up to congratulate her. She gave a huge hug to LottieLottieDah when she approached her smiling. She thanked her quickly and then Lottie walked back from where she came from.

She was quickly approached then by her Left Hand Man, Carnival. She saw a few tears escape from his eyes and she said, "Oh no reason for tears! Thank you so much for going along on the ride with me!"

When Carnival went back into the crowd, she was then approached by Joe_Profaci, who's father had died in the most recent war. She was happy to see him approach her, and she said, "Thank you so much Joe! It means a lot coming from you. Your father was a good friend of mine. I look forward to getting to know you as well! Thank you again!"

She gave Joe a smile as he disappeared into the crowd, and then, when she looked up, she saw TonyCapazzo walking up to her with a big smile on his face. He said, "Congratulations Karmen. I am so very proud of you on this accomplishment. It's a big step and I know you'll do well. Phantom's death really rocked Detroit but I know you'll do well to fill the void there in Downtown alongside our Godfather Chairman. I wish you the best of luck and all the success in the world. If you ever need anything Black Bottom will be there for you without hesitation. Congratulations once again Don Karmen!"

His words really got her shook up and she gave him a big hug as a tear managed to escape. She quickly wiped it off before looking back at Tony. 

"Thank you so much. It really means a lot hearing all of that from you, and yes of course Phantom's death left a huge void. I really hope to make everyone proud. I will not let you guys down! Thank you again for coming here to congratulate me, Tony!"

After she finished talking, Tony tipped his hat to her and disappeared into the crowd, and then Luigi walked up to her. He smiled at her and said, "Congratulations Karmen, Latin couldn't have picked a better person. May God Bless you and your new family."

Karmen was extremely happy to hear Luigi congratulating her. She had helped him find a new family when Phantom was killed, and she was glad to see him happy with a new crew.

"Thank you so much, Luigi, that means a lot," she said to him. "I wish you luck as well with your new crew! Thank you again!"

She watched as Luigi disappeared, going on his way to probably finish business. She looked around at everyone that was still there and then said, "Thank you all for being here. It means a lot. But I think I should get to my new Headquarters. See you all later!"

Cersei knew that Karmen was not likely to recognise her. She bore little resemblance to the rest of her line, but her own family and Karmen's went back quite a way, and Cersei wanted to congratulate Karmen on her success. Watching the announcement from a distance, she smiled, her face lighting up, and headed back to her apartment. She took from her cupboard one of the finest and most potent bottles of tequila she owned, knowing that many a shot had been downed between Karmen's ancestors and her own, and wrapped it neatly in purple tissue paper. To it, she attached a note, which simply read, "So many of my ancestors will be smiling down on this news today, Karmen. You've done so well and come so far, I cannot wait to watch you excel as you have so many times before. Best wishes to you and yours, Cersei". 

Not wanting to draw attention in such a large crowd, Cersei tapped one of Karmen's bodyguards on the shoulder, and passed him the bottle, keeping an eye on him to ensure it was passed on to Karmen.

Karmen's feet were beginning to hurt a little from standing, but she continued on because people were still gathered in the street. She turned around at a tap to her shoulder and saw her bodyguard Dex standing behind her. She gave him a puzzled look until he handed her what looked like a bottle of something with a note attached.

She thanked Dex as he stepped back a couple feet, then read the note that was attached and a big smile spread over her face. Her and @Cersei went way back. Their family lineage had been friends since what seemed like the beginning of time. Cersei's mom had given Karmen's mom some of the best advice, and it helped form who she was today. She sent a silent "thank you for everything.." to her and hoped that somehow Cersei would know that she appreciated it, more than anything. She then tore the tissue paper off of the bottle, which turned out to be Tequila. She knew that Cersei would only give her the best, and she vowed to make it to New York to have some shots with her very soon.
