Britney had just left the zoo, the thought of the penguins in the exhibit made her smile each and every time it passed back through her head. Only if there wasn't anyone there watching over them, because if there wasn't she without a doubt would have snatched one up and brought it back to the Head Quarter with her. She wasn't sure if the penguin would have been welcomed walking about the HQ but she figured it was The Freak Show, it should fit in quite well.

Walking back to her place the thought of taking one seemed better and better with each passing step. She even began singing a song in her head about penguins it was one that she learned back when she was younger, kind of childish but it was the only penguin song she knew.

"Right Flipper"

She stuck her right arm out, smacking some poor guy walking down the sidewalk. The guy stopped waiting for an apology but she was so into the song she didn't realize she had smacked him.

"Have you even seen a penguin come to tea"

"Right Flipper, Left Flipper"

She stuck her right arm out again then her left, this time smacking her shoulder right into a light post. This stopped her in her tracks, the pain radiated through her body, she stood there rubbing her shoulder until the pain started to subside. She was about to start walking again but gave a quick glance down at the lamp post and noticed a small hole. It was a hole she knew all about, it was a bullet hole. She thought to herself "must have come from the mayhem that recently took place" she shrugged her shoulders ducked down slightly to glance through the hole. What she saw on the other end was something that she hadn't seen before in the city. It was a library, she knew she had been out of town for a little while now but she didn't realize it was that long.

She knew she had to go check it out, she rubbed her shoulder one more time before she continued on. Picking up exactly where she left off in the song she was singing in her head.

"Right Flipper, Left Flipper, Right Leg"

She stuck her right arm out, then left left arm and then shook her right leg all about. The looks she getting from the civilians was one of disgust but she didn't care, she was enjoying herself. She walked across the street shaking her leg, people in their cars were honking at her trying to get her attention to get out of the way. She stopped in front of the library, in awe of its size and stature. The thoughts of stealing, well borrowing a penguin from the zoo kept of passing through her head.

That's when it struck her, if she had a penguin she needed to know how to take care of it. "I bet there is a book in there that explains everything about penguins" was the thought that went through her head. She hopped up the stairs continuing her song

"Right Flipper, Left Flipper, Right Leg, Left Leg"

She danced all the way up the stairs and all the way to the front door. She stopped singing so she could open the door, her jaw dropped slightly when she saw how amazing the place looked from the inside. She looked around top to bottom, there were books everywhere which is usually the case being she was in a library. All though she had never seen so many books in one location, she knew she was going to need help finding the book she was looking for she locked her sights on the customer service desk. To her surprise it was someone she knew and quite well actually. It was Frostbyte one of her fellow Freak Show family members. Just then a light bulb lite up above her head, she quickly made her way over to desk where she was sitting at.

The girls made some quick small talk, the how are you's and such. When Frostbyte asked Britney what brought her about Britney went into a long tangent:

"Well you see I was just at the zoo to see the penguins, they are so cute and awesome. So I was there was a while just kind of watching them then I had a brilliant idea. What if I took one home with me, we could have a little penguin walking around the Head Quarter. Now I'm not sure Fear would be a fan of it but come on its a friggin penguin, who would not love to have a penguin about. Anyways though I was going to hop over the railing grab one and shove him in my bag but there was a security guard and a zookeeper present. It would have never worked and then I would have been banned from the zoo. So I just left, but the more and more I think about it we really need to get one of those penguins. Anyways I was actually just headed home walked into a pole, yeah don't tell anyone about that, and saw your library. Figured if I was gonna have a penguin I kind of needed to know how to take care of it so that is why I walked in. Now that we are talking though, I think I have just found someone to help me acquire that penguin."

Britney glances at Frostbyte giving her a smile and a wink.

"What do you think, wanna "borrow" a penguin from the zoo with me?

FrostByte had been enjoying her quiet day at the library. Sometimes it was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of drug deals and knocking over post offices. This was what she did in her spare time. Her down time away from The Freak Show. At the moment she was working on filing away a few papers and locking the meeting room ledgers in a safe.

Shortly after she had turned the dial on the safe she noticed the door opening. She turned her head in that direction to see Britney-Spears. At first FrostByte thought maybe she was here to use the library. It was newly built while Britney was away on business. The closer Britney came to her, she knew that it wasn't for books.

FrostByte welcomed the small talk that they had. It wasn't often that FrostByte and Britney got to have small chats as both were busy working for Fear and were out and about. She listened intently to the story and gave a chuckle when Britney mentioned walking into a pole.

"What were you doing to walk into that pole?" She laughed. "A penguin? Hmm. They are pretty cute. I mean maybe we could have a Freak Show mascot after all? It's not like Fear's crazy hair was doing that well. You know this almost sounds crazy but so doable. Is there anyone else we should get a message to that might help us? I mean I could certainly try batting my eyelashes while you grabbed the penguin but I have a feeling that may not work so well. "

Britney knew that Frostbyte was right, this is something that would take a team to pull off. If it were just the two of them, the chances they would wind up in jail was pretty high and they would still be without a penguin.

"Yeah your right, we need more people but who?"

The two sat there and thought for a moment thinking to themselves, Britney finally broke the moment of silence. 

"I have a friend in Philadelphia, she loves penguins just as much as I do. I bet you she would love to help out, she is one of those very who is very deceiving. If you look at her she has curly brown hair, big brown eyes and a smile like none other. I have watched her get away with murder from just standing there smiling I bet she would come in quite handy. I will give her a call and she if she is available. I still think that we will need more then just 3 of us though."

Britney pauses for a moment, giving some more thought of how to get some more people. She tapped her fingers on the customer service desk that Frostbyte was sitting at it was something that she did when she was in deep thought.

"Perhaps we should ask around the Freak Show and The Carnival, I can go bother Scott-Weiland see if him or anyone he is associated with cares to partake. Plus gives me a reason to check up on how the carnival is running."

Britney looks over at Frostbyte

"Would you be able to bother well ask Fear and see if him or anyone in our HQ would be interested, I would go but he might try and tie me up or something."  Britney giggled for a moment until she realized, it was actually a possibility. "We also need some kind of meeting place, do you know of any good ones?"

FrostByte stopped herself from snorting as she laughed. She had a visual of Fear trying to tie up Britney. She thought maybe that's why they were always out on business.

"Yeah I could look into speaking to Fear and asking around The Freak Show. Someone has to want a dolphin around the headquarters. Splitting up to cover as many people as possible would certainly be a great deal easier. I don't think he would try to tie me up. He might get a little frost bite if he tried."

Flashing a grin across at Britney. Her own little joke was merely something that would amuse her. She thought hard about where to meet. Britney's pub wouldn't be too bad but they would need somewhere that they wouldn't be overheard. It finally dawned on her the perfect spot.

"We could meet on the third floor of the Library. There are three sound proof meeting rooms up there. That would be perfect for discussing our plans and getting everyone together. What do you think? We could meet for say 10 pm?"

"Oh you have, meeting rooms up stairs. That sounds like a perfect place for all of us together."

Britney looked down at her watch, she tapped it a couple times to make sure it was still working. She stared intently until she saw the second hand move, then looked up making sure he time matched the libraries time.

"I will then meet you back here around 10pm with whom ever I can stir up and convince to help out"

Britney turned around and began singing her song again

"Have you ever seen a penguin come to tea"

"Penguins attention, penguins begin"

"Right Flipper, Left Flipper, Right Leg, Left Leg, Head"

She went through the motions again as she song, when she started shaking her head about she could hear Frostbyte chuckling behind her. Britney turned around and gave her a smile.

"It's my penguin song, don't mock it."

She began laughing loudly

"I just can't wait to nab one of those penguins."

Britney smiled turned around and walked out of the library, she got outside and stood on the stoop looking both way's to make sure she had her bearings down. Luckily for her she was already in Corktown and even though the carnival was on the outskirts of the district it was only a couple minutes walk from where she was.

She hopped down the stairs and once at the bottom she started her walk towards the carnival once again continuing the song she started when she left the zoo.

She again went through the motions, lastly turning around walking backwards down the street. Wasn't the best idea because moments after she turned around she tripped over a piece of sidewalk that was sticking up. She fell backwards into a fruit cart; Oranges, Apples, and Pear's went flying everywhere. Britney put her hand to her head, she couldn't believe she had just done that. She picked her head up to look at what she had done and apologize but when she saw a bunch of Oranges rolling down the street she couldn't help but laugh. The owner of the cart stood next to his cart in disbelief of what just happened. He looked like he was about to cry, that was until Britney reached in her bag and took out a wad of cash.

"How about I just buy everything you have especially those ones that are still rolling"

Britney began to chuckle as she handed the guy the cash.

"There is a little bit extra in there, if you could deliver it to the nearest food bank that would be great."

The cart owner smiled from ear to ear agreeing to do what she wanted, Britney then picked herself up and dusted herself off. She looked down the road there was one Orange that was still on the move she chuckled again before continuing on her way. She was about to continue her song but being she didn't want anything more to happen she just concentrated to her task at hand.

That is what she did and within moments she was at the carnival front gate. Now she just needed to find Scott-Weiland, it shouldn't be too hard he is not one who usually is hard to find. She headed directly to his office on the carnival grounds, it was the tent just past the front gate on the right. When she was helping design the layout, Scottie specifically told her to make sure his office was in the front. This was so he was able to keep track of whom enter.

Afghan-Mango was walking out of the tent just as Britney approached it, she smiled at him asking him if Scottie was in there. He gave her a nod and kept on walking. It seemed as if he had something pressing going on, but this was no surprise the number 2's in charge were always running around doing something important. Britney got to the opening of the tent and peaked her head in.

"Scottie.. It's Britney, mind if I come in?"

Scottie quickly replied

"Of course, please come in."

Scottie was sitting there in his chair fiddling with some papers, he looked up at Britney

"What do I have the pleasure of seeing you here?"

Before he could finish his sentence Britney told him about her day and her idea about nabbing a Penguin from the zoo and that she needed help. She expressed to him that we could even grab something to put on show here at the carnival.

"If you would like to help or anyone else your associated with would like to help out, we are meeting at the library third floor, room 2a at 10pm"

Britney stopped talking there was a brief silence period as she waited for Scottie to say something.

FrostByte had left the library at the same time Britney did. For a little while she watched the Penguin song. She giggled behind her hand before she turned towards the Freak Show Headquarters. She was still shaking her head to stop from the random giggles that came out of her mouth. It was an oddity for people to see her giggling so much but she just couldn't help herself.

As she reached the headquarters she slipped her key into the door and wandered inside. It was nice and cool after the heat outside and she stood for a moment to relish in the cool feeling before she went back to her task at hand.

As she wandered down the halls, FrostByte began opening doors to see if Fear was in any of them. Finally locating him at his office after hoping that she wouldn't have to walk all that way. She plopped herself down in the chair across his desk. For a minute she didn't say anything. She was busy noticing the new plant she hadn't seen before. Or maybe it was his hair, but certainly could have been a plant.

"Hey Fear. Just out of curiosity Sir would you want to participate in helping to acquire a penguin from the zoo? If you or anyone else in the headquarters would like to we are meeting at the Detroit Public Library. Third floor in meeting room 2A at 10 pm tonight."

Nodding to him she left the office. She had a good feeling that Fear would show up so she headed towards the library again. She'd order some pizza and locate a few drinks on her way back for the meeting this evening. 

Fear was busy sitting around in his office in the Freak Show Headquarters as the door busted open. FrostByte peaked her head in asking about if he wanted to go steal a Penguin from the zoo. It was a rather interesting idea because he had never stolen an animal in his life let alone from a zoo. He loved the thrill ride of doing so and he knew that if Frost was involved, it would definitely be something magical to see.

He looked towards her and said "You know what, lets do it. Obviously we need a mascot around this place, perhaps we can steal a few more penguins and put something near our Headquarters entrance to make it more unique? Either way I am sure we can figure it out. I know Valmet will help out, how about we go get them?"

He got up out of his chair and brushed his hair as he went on his way with Frost to go find Valmet. They opened every door in the Headquarters, door after door he was nowhere to be found after turning to look in the next room he noticed Frost had ran off as she was nowhere to be found. He sighed and continued through the doors until he reached the final door of the Headquarters. He busted it down to find Valmet sitting there messing with what seemed to be an old military radio but he could not get it to work.

He ran over to him and said "Valmet, what are you doing pal, you are not pressing the right buttons, how about we mess with this later and you come help me with the Penguin Acquisition instead?"

As she was finishing up some things within the headquarters. She had been working on an old military radio from her days as a soldier during the Great War. Finland had been pretty neutral but several platoons of troops were to be assisting their allies with radio communications. She had lost her right eye during an artillery attack. Working on the old radio had brought up old memories, good and bad.

"Oh, hello boss. Sorry, I was a little caught up in the moment" She said quietly. "Penguin Acquisition..?" Valmet said very confusedly. "Yeah, talk to Frost or Britney about it, they're the two leading this" Fear said as he walked out.

The note had said the Detroit Public Library - Third floor room room 2a at 10 pm. She would go now and just find a good book to read until it was time. She was still a little confused regarding penguin theft.. But she wouldn't question it.
