Not a Dull Moment. Started by: Ubar on Jul 15, '09 00:27

~An inferno erupted on Ubar's heals as He fairly flew down the alley-way, His feet barely connecting with the pavement. Another blast nearly blew Him off His feet, even from this distance. Recovering as quickly as He could, He darted down another side ally, this one much narrower, to avoid the worst of the blasts.~

"Jesus, what a night!"

~He gasped as He stood with His back firmly pressed against the rough brick of one of the buildings He now stood between. He tryed to slow His breathing, but it felt to Him as if fiery tenticals were licking at His lungs.~

"Rest in peaces."

~He muttered under His overladen breathing.~

"I've got no time for this shit! I have to get back and report."

~Ubar took one last deep breath and plunged headlong down the length of the allyway, almost running into a makeshift shelter made of cardboard, and other garbage some homeless person may have collected locally.~

~Hearing someone exclaim in suprise from inside, but not wanting to slow down, Ubar quickly grabbed a handfull of money from His pocket and threw it, along with a short, over-the-shoulder apology to the poor person that was obviously residing inside the encloser.~

~Finally reaching the seemingly deserted street seemed a relief to Ubar, not needing any unwanted attention at the moment. He couldn't stop to catch His breath. This was important that His Boss knew right away. He kept up speed with a brisk walk, still trying to keep His fiery lungs full of oxygen. Two more blocks seemed to take forever, but He was approaching the safehouse.~

~Ubar entered the building, giving a recognized nod to a couple burly guards upon entering. One of the guards signaled Him to head into a back room. He entered to see His Boss Sherlock, with TonyAlacchi, DareDevil, and Absolut in company. He noded a greeting to them, took a moment now to catch what breath He could before speaking.~

"Its done Boss. The whole warehouse blew. It will be enough of a distraction for a day or so while we get that other project started. I doubt they will expect a thing. Thanks for trusting Me with this one Boss. I knew I could take care of it, if you gave Me a chance to prove Myself. I won't let the family down."

"I think I'm going to go for a nice hot bath now. I'm exhausted."

~Ubar heads to recouperate after the intense night He had, wondering what would be next. There would be no boredome in this Family; He could see that. As He sank into the hot bath, He couldn't help but smile and let out a relaxing sigh.~
