| A Day at the Museum | Started by: Britney-Spears on Jun 10, '15 02:35 |

It was an extremely hot spring day, summer was right around the corner and you could surely tell. Britney was doing what she usually did, strolling the streets singing a tune in her head without a care in the world. She strutted down the street doing a bit of a dance while she was going through the words in her head. The sun was pounding down on her, probably wasn't the best idea for her to wear her dark purple dress suit today. Ever since she had been accepted into the inner circle of her new crew she felt like she needed represent herself to the highest standards. Up in the distance she noticed a bench that was sitting in a nice shady spot, she needed to get out of the sun for a moment cause she was starting to sweat and that is one thing she hated. She plopped down on the bench, took her sun hat off and wiped her brow with her hand. Looking at her hand it was glistening with wetness, she went to wipe it on her suit but stopped just before her hand came in contact with it. She thought to herself "Need to keep this suit clean, was way to expensive to be wiping my dirty hands all over it." She looked around for something, anything to wipe it on but there was nothing around but concrete and brick. She continued down the street with her hand held to her side, making sure not to contact her suit. She finally came upon a local street vendor selling hot dogs and soda, she politely and asked him just for a napkin but with a strict tone he declared that they were for paying customers only. Britney let out a sigh "fine then give a soda and make sure it is ice cold." The man then handed her a napkin once she ordered the soda, she swiftly took it out of his hands and quickly wiped her hand off letting out a sigh of relief. The man reached into his cart pulling out an ice cold soda bottle and handed it to her, she handed him the wet napkin a look of disgust went across his face as he took it from her. She gave him a smile then cracked open the bottle and took a big swig "Ahhhhhh, that is one of the best feeling on a hot day." Reaching in her bag she took out a dollar and gave it to the man, he started stumbling for change but Britney just looked at him and told him "just keep the change." She took another swig of her soda and looked around, she had to find something to do and something to do inside. She thought about heading to the business district even though she was already there once today, she thought for a moment on what else she could do but nothing jumped in her head so she decided just to head over that way. Just opening up a shop of her own, it would be good to keep tabs on what's going on when she wasn't about. She began singing to herself again, and headed in that direction making sure she stayed out of the sun as much as possible. Just up ahead was an intersection, there was a boy standing on the corner holding a stack of newspapers. He was yelling so loud it stopped Britney in her tracks. "Read all about it! Philadelphia Museum of Art, currently has priceless Claude Monet art on display. Go check it out!!!" Britney stood there for a moment, it had been ages since she had been to an art museum and what made it a better idea was it got her out of the sun. She went over to the boy took some money out of her bag and bought a paper. She read the title ( Monet in Philadelphia ) now she wasn't much of a reader, so she scrolled her eyes over the article until she found the address to the museum ( 2600 Benjamin Franklin Drive ). She knew exactly where it was, but walking there was definitely out of the question. She looked around to get her bearings down and realized that she wasn't too far from the family Head Quarter. "Perhaps there was someone there that had brought their car in today that could give her a lift over there" she thought to herself It only took her 4 minutes to walk to the HQ, when she got there she burst through the doors. Honesty was standing up against the wall, the sound of the door blasting open made him jump and reach for his gun. Britney noticed his hand reach down and quickly yelled out to him. "Honesty, its me, Britney... chill!!!" she could see him sigh in relief. "Why do you have to come bursting in here like that, for a moment there I thought we were under attack" Britney chuckled, she played back in her head the look on his face as she flew through the door. "Didn't mean to freak you out, but the look on your face... priceless, oh yeah by the way speaking of priceless check out what's in Philadelphia." She handed him the paper she had bought a little while ago from the boy on the corner. Honesty started looking over it and looked at Britney with the kind of look of puzzlement. "Uhm ok what's your point?" Britney sighed "Well, I noticed that your car is out front and it's really hot outside... and well I want to go check out the exhibit. By the looks of it you don't seem to be too busy, if you drive it's my treat." Honesty tried to think of an excuse to get out of it, Britney could tell he really didn't want to so she pleaded with him. "Come on, please come with me... please... please... please?" |

As Honesty was trying to calm down his pounding heart that Britney scared the living day lights out of, he tried listening to her begging, but couldn't set his mind on it. When he calmed down, she was still begging for him on her knees to drive up to the art museum. - Jesus Christ. Get up before you make a fool of yourself. Now, where exactly is this place? - Didn't you read the damned paper?! It's at 2600 Benjamin Franklin Drive. - Considering that you scared the crap out of me, I didn't pay attention to it much. You know that it is a bit of a drive from here, right? - Yeah, but that's why you're here! To help me "observe" this art. Don't move for a second. Honesty did as she asked, more like ordered, and stayed where he was, wondering what she was thinking. A split second later, she saw one of her hands holding his shirt and the other was being wiped on him. - Thank you very much, my good sir. - What the Hell was that?! - Nothing, just sweat. - That's disgusting!! Honesty pushed her away in disgust as she dared wipe her hands on him. As if he was a towel of some sort! Britney laughed and said: - Now, I'll be waiting outside for you. I suggest you put something nice on since it's a museum. With the wet spot on your shirt, you look like a slob! - But you... You were the one... Where are you... Wait!!!!!! I didn't even say that I would bring you!!! - Now, now. I thought the boss taught you some manners. Don't keep a lady waiting! With that, she slammed the door opened and strutted outside, waiting for Honesty. While she was walking down the steps, Honesty went to his bedroom and opened his wardrobe. He never liked dressing fancy. That is why he only had one suit. A white tuxedo with a red tie and a fedora. Honesty believed that if a person judged another by how another dressed, then he was worth the trouble making a deal with him. Words are the things that matter, not the physical. Yet, he had a feeling he would have to put something nice because if he didn't, the security might kick him out and he didn't want to start a scene there. Why the Hell did she want to go to a museum? Honesty put on his white fedora and started down the steps to which he left a note on the table. Out for a drive. 2600 Benjamin Franklin Drive. Contact me if anything urgent. Honesty made his way down the steps and headed for the car where he met up with Britney once again. - God, you are slow! Come on now! Let's go to the museum! - Don't forget that you said that if I drive, it's your treat. Now where to before the museum? Britney sighed as she regretted saying this. Why did he always remember everything? |

Britney looked over at Honesty whom was dressed up looking all fancy, she had never seen him dressed so nicely before. He looked like a true gentlemen and what topped it all off was the Fedora perfectly placed on top his head. "You know I was kind of hoping that I was talking too fast and you didn't hear me say that" She shook her head and let out a small chuckle. "Well, I said what I said" Britney shuffled through her bag trying to figure out how much cash she had on her. She was having a hard time finding anything in there, so she decided to just start taking things out. "Here hold these for me" She took her keys out and handed them to him, she kept shuffling around still having a hard time finding her wad of cash. Finally she got fed up with looking and just dumped her whole bag on her lap. "Ah, there it is." She picked up the cash out of the pile placed it on the dashboard then proceeded to jam everything else back in her bag. Honesty sat there dangling her keys in front of her. "Would you like these back?" Britney snatched them out of his hands, putting them in her bag with everything else. "Almost forgot about those, thanks." She took the wad of cash off the dashboard opened it up and started counting it in her head. "1, 2, 3, + 50, + 220" Honesty could tell she was in deep concentration trying to count and being him he started randomly throwing out numbers "3, 8, 89, 42, 55, 76" Britney let out a groan "You're an ass, you made me lose track." She looked over at him and smiled. "Not sure how I have but it's plenty, so since your driving you get to pick where we go first." |

-Is it ever hot today! Honesty took off his fedora and threw it on the backseat upon saying this and put his hand through his short hair thinking of where to go. -I hate deciding sometimes. Why don't you choose? -I did. I chose the Philadelphia Museum of Arts. Now it's your turn. Honesty grinned and put his hands on the wheel, thinking of where to go. A minute later, still undecided, he started tapping on the steering wheel, creating a catchy beat. Britney started humming and when Honesty heard her hum, he stopped tapping the wheel and Britney looked at him with disdain. -What? You don't like my singing? -Technically speaking, it was humming not singing. -That still doesn't answer my question. -Pardon me. I just thought you might have rephrased that. I guess now that you won't. Sorry, I didn't mean to offend by saying that. The heat is starting to get to me. -It's fine. Why don't you roll down the window? Make up your mind and drive. It'll give you some fresh air. -I did make up my mind. That's why I stopped tapping the wheel. I didn't mind your humming. Actually, it was quite lovely. Have you ever heard of the phrase: "Follow your gut?" -I believe I do. Why? -My gut is telling me that we're going to eat. I'm hungry as Hell. -Technically speaking, it's your stomach, not your gut. Honesty looked over to her and grinned once more. He drove off, taking his time and rolled the window down. The calm air turned to win and cooled him and his car down. Approaching the Philadelphia Museum of Art, he slowed to a stop next to a restaurant; it was Italian. Honesty always loved Italian food even though he had no trace of Italy in his family history. Never mind the canals in Venice or the Colosseum in Rome. Food is what he loved of Italy. Pasta and pizza and pastries, delicious. Too bad this is an american version of an Italian restaurant, but it'll do for him. He opened his door, stepped out of his car and went around to the other side, opening the door for Britney, as she knew he would do. -Now, tell me why the sudden peak of interest in this museum, Britney? |

Britney smiled as Honesty opened the door for her, he took her hand helping her out of the car. It wasn't often that someone opened doors for her, she kind of enjoyed it so she made sure to take it all in. "Thank you, sir" she said as she sent a smile in his direction. He grumbled softly towards her. "Don't call me sir, it makes me sound so old" Britney chuckled at him, she could tell he really didn't like it. "No problem sir, I won't call you sir any more....sir!!!" She could see the steam coming out of his ears, she knew if she pushed it anymore she might be walking back to her place. Figuring it was so hot out and she wasn't really that mean that she just leave it as that. She watched as Honesty closed then locked the car door behind her. While he was fiddling with his keys in the lock, she could hear him saying something about the museum, but didn't catch his entire question. "Yeah museum should be a good time. Why are you locking your car are you worried someone is going to take your ride?" He shrugged his shoulders and gave her a nod "Wouldn't be the first time, that's why I lock it up anytime I get out of it anymore." She was debating on asking him what happened and what he was talking about but before she could she caught the smell of the restaurant in the air. Instantly her stomach began to rumble. "Well, I wasn't really hungry until just now. Do you smell that? I mean wow! That's like one of the best smells I have ever smelt before." Honesty started walking towards the door of the restaurant, making sure to get there before Britney did so he could hold the door open for her. "I know how awesome this place is, that is why I brought us here....Duh but you never did answer my question about why you're suddenly so interested in going to this art museum" Britney pretended not to hear the "Duh" comment that he made, even though they both knew she heard it loud and clear. "Well, initially I was just quite bored and stumbled across a kid selling papers. I showed you the paper, kind of figured it would be something different to do. The more I think about it though, this could potentially lead to a business proposition if you know what I mean." Britney walked into the restaurant and up to the host stand, Honesty was still standing holding the door open. He was trying to process what she had just said to him, when suddenly it clicked. "Oh... oh you mean..." Before he was able to finish his sentence Britney yelled out his name. "HONESTY.... not here" He gave her a look then he looked around, remembering where he was at. "We can talk about it some when we get a table." Britney turned around to the lady standing behind the host stand "Table for 2 please and could we get one of the booths in the back" The lady looked down and checked her chart, smiled at Britney and grabbed a couple of menu's "Right this way Miss" |

Honesty followed the waitress and Britney, checking his surroundings to see if he can catch any familiar faces. Something caught his eye, but it wasn't a person. In fact it was multiple things; glasses filed with water. It was also important that no one knows that they were there in case they actually went through with Britney's plan. He was pretty sure about what Britney wanted to do. As to how to do it, he still didn't decide. He had no information of the art museum and the security that this place had. Although, he guessed that security might be beefed up since they were showing a new exhibit that only stayed there for a couple of weeks, maybe a month. Honesty had brought the newspaper over to their table, showing the sports section in case someone saw it. "Never can be too careful," was something he believed in. Some called him paranoid, but he felt sorry when it bit the others in the ass and not him. His carefulness brought him where he was today. Errors were prohibited. The waitress brought them to a booth in the back of the restaurant, but Honesty politely told her that the one that was three booths further down was a better seating for them. Britney looked at him suspiciously and when they sat down, Honesty looked once more over the crowd, just in case, before Britney asked him a question. -Why here? The place that Honesty chose was literally a corner of the restaurant. -Strategy. We are sitting in the corner. Not just any corner. In fact, we are sitting in a place that we can see who enters the restaurant and who leaves it. From my perspective, I can see who sits in the back of you and if someone does, I've left a surprise there, so they won't sit in that booth. From yours, you can see who sits in front, yet that doesn't really matter because that table is far enough away. Think ahead and stay prepared gets you places. - What the Hell do you mean by a surprise? - See, I've noticed that every table and booth has a glass filled with water. I spilled some water on the seat without anyone noticing. If you don't get it, we'll wait for fate to clear out my actions. - You're paranoid! That's what you are. - Start thinking like that and no one will ever topple you in life. You'll always be one step ahead. Anyways, let's talk about your idea. Have you even thought about it? The security? The location of this artwork? The times of tourism? Anything?! - Don't get your panties in a knot! We're here to discuss matters and plan some details out. - Who's going to do the planning exactly? - Have I ever told you what a nice friend you are? Where did you get that suit? I've never seen you wear it before. - From a store in New Orleans. I don't like it. Suits don't suit me well. You know why I hate... Wait! You're sidetracking me! Britney giggled and said: - For one who's cautious and prepared, your easy to mess around with! - Get back on track. You're talking about stealing an artwork that you have no information on and none on the place to and you want us to waltz in and take it? Are you crazy? - Nah, you're the crazy one. I'm the fun one. So what are you thinking of doing? - I'm thinking of eating then we're going to go to the museum and just walk around to try and get a look in this place. You know, find the painting, detail the guards shifts, the times of tourism allocated to view the exhibit, etc. - How do you think of these things? I mean- Honesty hushed Britney as the waitress was coming back. - Are you ready to order? - I am. I'll have the the fettuccine with Alfredo sauce. I like my pasta with a lot of sauce. I'm sure the chef would like to know. I'll stay with water, too. I don't fancy the taste of alcohol. Honesty winked at the waitress. - And for you, miss? |

Britney looked at the menu one more time as the waitress stood there patiently waiting for her to make up her mind. "Uhm, I will just take the Chicken Parm and uhm...." She looked at the menu one more time, she really wanted to have a glass a wine but something was telling her it wasn't the best of ideas considering what they were thinking of pulling off. "Just a glass of water will do, but can you bring me a couple lemons with it." The waitress jotted down her order "I will put this right in for you two, shouldn't be too long" With that the waitress walked away. Honesty watched her walk away and followed her with his eye until she got into the kitchen. He then peered around the joint making sure that no one was watching the two of. When he finally felt comfortable enough he leaned forward in his seat towards her. "So you're telling me that you have no plan, no nothing?" Britney leaned in her seat towards him "No, not really. Then again this is something that kind of just recently popped in my head. I'm sure this is something that we could pull off, don't you think?" Honesty looked at her like she was crazy, well he knew she wasn't completely normal but this was something else. He had no idea what she was thinking. He sat back pulling himself away from the conversation. He looked around the restaurant one more time before leaning back in towards Britney. "Ok, if this is something we are going to do first thing first once we are done eating we need to go over there and scope things out. That is the most important thing, we need to know every detail of the place from; guards to locks and everything in between." Britney listened intently as he was speaking, she knew that he had a decent amount of experience in stuff like this. She was about to speak but Honesty nodded his head towards her. Britney looked behind her, the waitress was on her way to the table with their food. She watched the waitress the entire way to the table, placing Honesty's dish in from of him then her Chicken Parm in front of her. "Everything look alright?" Honesty nodded and Britney spoke up "Everything looks great." The waitress smiled at the both of them "Well if you two need anything just let me know." With that she walked away. The two of them didn't say much of anything else about the museum but instead had a normal conversation during the meal. Britney was about half done with her meal when the waitress came back to the table to check on them. Honesty was jamming the last fork full in his mouth, the waitress smiled at him. Britney chuckled "guess you were hungry, weren't you?" The waitress let him put his fork down before removing the plate from in front of him. Britney pushed her plate off to the side. "You can take mine as well, I'm full and you can just get rid of it I won't be home for a couple hour yet." Britney looked down at her watch, it was starting to get late. "Oh and can you bring me the bill, please." She walked away moments later returning with the bill, she went to hand it to Honesty but Britney spoke up. "I will take that, it is my treat today." The waitress handed over the bill to Britney, Britney opened it up and put in back on the table. She reached into her bag pulling out her wad of cash. She looked over at Honesty. "No trying to mess me up this time you got it?" Honest sat back and laughed "I would never do such a thing to you." Britney gave him a look, she made sure to keep an evil eye on him as she counted out the money. She could tell he really wanted to mess with her but he kept his mouth shut. She finished counting out the cash and tucked it in the check presenter. The two stood up and walked out of the restaurant. Britney walked over to Honesty's car and stood there, she was looking directly at the museum. Honesty walked up next to her, both of them looked at each other. "You ready to go in?" |

-I'm always ready. -Oh, please. Don't do that "Mr. tough guy with me." The two walked in the Philadelphia Museum of Art and to there surprise, the place was packed with visitors. In some places, it was more concentrated than others. There were fabulous paintings and pieces of art from a variety if different artists: Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Michelangelo, Andy Warhol, and more. Honesty has never been so stunned when seeing beautiful artwork like these. There were also some Monet paintings, so he wondered why this one piece that every newspaper was mentioning was so important. Even though Honesty loved this Utopia of a museum, he had no keen eye for art. He was more about business transactions. So, Britney-Spears and Honesty made their way observing these different arts and forgot about the task at hand for at least an hour. Honesty then realized how much time they lost. -Dammit, it's... Honesty checked his Omega Seamaster watch he bought a year ago. it's been at least an hour that we've been staring at these things and we've got nothing done. -For a guy who doesn't like fancy things, your watch sure does only come with fine tastes. -When it comes to watches, I love them. Such little things that can pack a beauty. That's why I buy fancy watches. I was thinking of getting a Swiss when we get the, you know, the prize. They are coming in style for the past decade, each year it's been doing a little bit better. I'm telling you, the Swiss ones will be worth a fortune in the future. -You're complaining about the time we lost and now your sidetracking again. Wake up! The two continued walking around this place, now looking for the Monet. Honesty suggested to Britney that maybe asking a guard or a representative of the museum about the paining would be best. Then he decided that asking the guards would be better because he thought that hitting the place at night would be to their advantage, considering the amount of people that are visiting. Plus, guards work in shifts whereas representatives work from the beginning to closing time. They approached a guard and Honesty asked: -These paintings are all so beautiful! But, you know, this place is so big that we're getting lost. The reason we really came here was for that painting that everyone's been talking about. I see the newspapers weren't exaggerating about the popularity of this painting. So, tell me, my good man, where is this? -Ah, yes. Everyone in town is coming to see it. The painting is through those doors, turn left and continue straight, then turn right. The room is dedicated to the painting only. The two made their way to the room and they saw the painting encased by see-through glass. Honesty had to ask the representative now to acquire more information on this painting. -Excuse me, what is so important about this painting? There are other Monet paintings, so why this one? -Well, you, see, this is the painting water lilies by Monet. This is the original that we are showing. The other ones in this museum are duplicates. That's why. -Thank you. The two of them walked away from the crowd and the painting toward the hall of the bathroom. Honesty told Britney that they should hit the place at night because of the traffic. -First of all, we need to run this with the boss for his approval and we might need another person in on this. -I think we might be okay just us two. I agree with letting the boss know though. The two made their way back to Honesty's car all the while talking about ordinary day-by-day stuff, picking up where they left off at the restaurant. |
