It was a busy day down at the Purring Tigers HQ. Beowulf was knee deep in mail explaining the way things worked around here, Scipita was eyebrow deep in requests to join our esteemed family. I on the other hand, was walking through the HQ. Making sure everything was in order. So far so good.

As I wondered to my desk I found a note from ScipitaRourke reminding me of a bet our parents made (God rest their souls). A bet that we anguished offspring agreed to up hold in their honour. The bet was on a race to Don. The forfeit was one of public humility. The looser was to publicly poor a quantity of water over their head for all to see and wonder 'What the hell is he doing?' Well, I hope that explains it.

So, here I am... Congratulating Don ScipitaRourke. I hope you all join in our congratulating of this fine leader and enjoy the forfeit. Although a time and place needs to be set. I guarantee you I will honour this bet and do it in a time and place you can all see.

Let's not overshadow Don Scipita's achievement here though. She really deserves congratulations for this.

This is exactly what was needed to prove that the significance of rank is well and truly oscillating it's way up a crusty rectum. Don used to be a fairly prestigious rank, attained only by the elite minority and now we are having races to the title. Races that are by and large a piece of piss to win. Spend a bit of cash on crackdowns over the course of a few weeks and voilà. Can no one else see the direness of this?

IAmYourDad, This bet was made with the expectations of it taking a long while. Over many generations of our family. It just so happens that it did not take that long. An Scipita achieved it well. It's not like she just spent her days busting people out of the jails for days on end with barely any sleep. If she had, she'd have made this rank five days ago right on the alotted time.

We, I can assure you all now who are wondering the same thing, see this rank as something of great achievement and should only be awarded to those of great merit and deserve.
