| When a leader dies | Started by: Gollum on Jun 10, '15 17:55 |
What do you think?
A leader dies. A made man or higher is still part of the family. All made men and up hold the family banner. All Made and higher will still be sponsored by the crew leader, even though he is deceased. All 'associates', wiseguys and lower, become unsponsored. Also, i think if people want to leave a family if their leader dies they can still do it the same way by going to the manage tab and selecting leave family.
THE CURRENT is this -> A leader dies everyone becomes unsponsored. No difference between a made and a wiseguy. A boss and a goomba except for units and gun ability, perhaps. THE REASON FOR THE SWITCH -> I think it would increase loyalty. Improve the honor for made men and higher. It clearly distinguishes those in a family and those who arent with higher recognition from others. |

Let's be fair. It really won't matter. Those doing the safelisting can just as easily invite those they want to save. And those that are going to die, will die. Those that are loyal will be loyal and fight for their leader whether they died or not. Those not, well they ship jump. I can't see this changing the loyalty thing. It will come down to personal choice regardless. We see some people constantly being safelisted and never dying with their leaders. Others that always do. |

Personally...if there's an issue between a couple CL's and the CL's decide they wanna kill each other then that's between them...when the lower ranked guys end up dying and they have no clue why they were even killed it's pretty stupid
i know this goes against years of the way things have been done from what i understand but i think it might be time to start looking at a new approach to these wars...the reason they are so plentiful is because everyone gets wiped out...if it was only those involved getting killed you wouldn't create as many "enemies" wanting revenge....just my two cents |

| Sometimes the low ranked guys are important as pro'ers though, and leaving them alive certainly doesn't help with your war efforts! | |

What about if the crewleader dies all stay together under the RHM (if he or she is MadeMan or over) That way they will all be together still staying loyal and together but if it is war they are going to die anyway but if it was a protection shot then it will hold the family together |

| In the Mafia the UB known as the right hand runs the family in the absence of the Don. Why are consiglieres crew leaders? | |

If a crew goes to war with another crew. The opposing crew should wipe the entire crew out for it to be a completely smooth process of removing a district or whatever. You leave a few members the war could quickly escalate because of proers. This is why all members should be eliminated to make things much smoother and easier.. Simply the proers is why young members need to be eliminated as well.. |

No. The RHM is whoever the CL trusts. It doesn't mean everyone else trusts them. To just assume everyone wants to join the RHM is stupid. Let them make their own choices as they do now. Don't force them into something they may not want to do. |

I would be disturbed if one of my members didn't trust my RHM, really. |

It is rare that I trust hands. Extremely rare. They do not get my loyalty as my leader does. The people didn't pick the hands, the leader did. |

Not all members agree with hand choices. Forcing those people under someone they do not trust/wish to be with shouldn't really be hardcoded into the game. If a CL dies I'd expect 98% of RH's to take up the mantle and start a crew regardless. And the 2% that don't want to shouldn't be forced into it. |

I don't agree with this whole trusting the CL and not the hands. This is a hierarchical game and one should subject to the ranks and put up with it. If not, maybe we can suggest that the CL has "pets" that are not really members of the family and just follow the CL around barking at passers-by. A person that trusts ONLY the CL and couldn't care less about anybody else has no concept of family anyway. |

Trust doesn't equate to not caring. I think you have the two confused. I can care about my family, care that they do well, but it doesn't mean I trust everyone. Trust is a huge thing that takes time to build up. It is not automatic in any way shape or form. |
