My Family Appreciation Started by: Jagger1990 on Jul 16, '09 14:14

I remembered the first time i came to LA. I was hapless as a newborn baby. Past experience dictated that life is harsh and cruel. The slightest slip-up could mean having your brains splattered all over the sidewalk. That's one fate i'd rather avoid. I was completely clueless. I'd done a couple purse-snatches from women old enough to be my grandmother and that always left a sour taste in my mouth. I couldn't live like this for the rest of my life, but i didn't know what else to do.

Hey kiddo. New in town?

Perhaps it was the confidence brimming from him, or maybe it was that chrismatic smile of his. Whichever the reason i was drawn in like a moth to flame.

Well...Yes sir.

Hows it so far? He gave another smile of his. A rare sight for a nobody like me.

Well, it...

It could be better. He finished the sentence for me. I nodded slowly.

Don't worry about it. It gets tough in the beginning but as time passes its gonna ease up. Say u got yourself a Family already?

A Family sir?

I'll take that as a no then. How's about joining us? The Sherlock Family. I'm the LHM Daredevil.

Looking back i was surprised that the LHM himself would personally recruit me himself. And his kindness did not end there. Through all this time he has helped me repeatedly, resolved much of my doubts. He even takes time to congratulate me on my small promotions. And its not just the LHM, but everyone in the Family that has been kind to me. I would like to take this oppotunity to reaffirm my loyalty to the Family.

My first million dollars to the Family

Once again to everyone in the Family, i would like to say Thank You

Report Post Tip

You're obviously a very good member to have recruited.

A one million donation is alot of money and you chose the right thing to do with it. I do however have a few points to make.

Firstly, how long did it take you to save the $1 million? why not just donate $200k when and if you had it? Just strikes me as a thing done by those wanting to look good instead of really wanting to hand over the money and help the family.

Secondly, again we see blatant evidence of whoring within the community. It just really is. Sending a 'Hello' mail then a 'how are you mail' does not constitute you getting to know the member well enough for you to know he will be a good member. Sadly, it now seems to be an accepted method and obviously this lad has been a bit of a diamond. The approach obviously worked out well.

Thirdly, as nice as this whole thread was and is. It doesn't really need to be in the street. It again strikes as a bit of showing off. Although I may be being a bit harsh and I am sure many will jump on my back for saying so. Just send a mail to your leader or post this in your HQ. It's nice to see a loyal member who wishes to share his feelings with the world but it's more a in house thing than anything else.

Sorry to be a bitch but thats the way it goes I suppose.

Personally Jagger, I think it's great that you've come out to our streets to show your appreciation.

I do however agree with Bighead's point on donations to a certain extent, it would be much better for the family if you donated in smaller amount on a much more regular basis. As a CL I'd much rather get say 200k everyday couple of days instead maybe one million every two weeks, obivously these time periods may well be wrong but i think you get the general jist of the Idea.

Report Post Tip

Actually, i was planning for this to be to be sort of a Appreciation Thing, just as the title said. My original intention was for others to come here and share their own experience of starting out. How theywere initiated into the Family, to "show-off" the leaders who brought them in.

But seriously when i mentioned that my LHM Daredevil helped me. I meant he helped me. It wasn't a one time deal of "Hey how are you? If u need anything drop me a mail", but everyday he would ask is everthing alright? Is there anything you are unsure of?. And it isn't the same "cut and paste" mail either. And everone showed me kindness as well. When i messed up my first Witness Sheet I didin't get railed at by our WS Collecter. Instead he showed me the format and how to fill it. He could have screamed at me to read the HQ forums myself, but he didn't. When i did my first crime with the Capo Crimini Himself i asked Sherlock Boss if he wanted my cut as well. He could have said Yes, but he didn't. You may call me naive but i meet people who take care of me like my Family does i feel the need to do something for them.

And lastly do you understand what a million dollars represent? Aside from the fact that it is a large sum of money. Just as the first dollar is an emboidement of one's first achievements, the first million dollars is the emboidement of one's dreams. Think back when you were a kid. Ten thousand,  a hundred thousand. A billion or even a trillion dollars. None of them mean anything as much as a million dollars. How many of us had the question "What would you do with a million dollars" thrown at us? And what did we feel then? Even as adults, how many of us work towards the first million goal? I give my first million to the Family, I give myself to the family. I agree that giving a million dollars is easily interpretated as an attempt to Show-off. That is why this will be a one-time event. I do hope that everyone would understand this, but if not then perhaps someone else might help to explain for me better

Report Post Tip

I understand what a Million dollars stands for.

However, your leader will get a Million dollars if you donate five lot's of $200,000 a day..

Report Post Tip

I can see were your coming from with the million dollars what it signafies but bighead is right about the five 200k's .

I can also see your just trying to show everyone how your family has helped you and your proud to donate 1 million dollars and everything

Report Post Tip

A million dollars could do me a world of good right now :)

Report Post Tip

Bighead, I understand where your going but, if he made 1 mil a day, wouldn't we be having this conversation a long time ago?

Report Post Tip

If he made $1 million a day then we wouldn't be having this conversation at all because it would be the norm for him.

He was obviously very happy to have saved that amount up rather than just donating it when he had it. To be fair at least he donated it but it could have been done more low key and in a way that helped his family more rather than making himself look good.

Report Post Tip

He's new to this world.New guys tend to make few mistakes bighead (damn I should know) so I see no reason to point them all in public. All you said you could told him in privacy and not act like a dick for all to see.But that might be just my point of view.

Report Post Tip

Its is very nice that you come here and show us that you show your loyalty to your family with the one million dollars. Im sure that Sherlock was really happy with your donation. However this is not really the sort of place you come to to show your donations mate. Just remember that.

Keep it within family walls I would say if you going to show your donations. Prehaps talk to Sherlock and get a Donations sheet up in your family HQ and show all of your family members instead.

Report Post Tip

well i say nice try at showing the world how much pride you have in your family and even if you didn't go about it just the right way some of us get what you were trying to say but next time Jagger,  you might want to let daredevil proof read it first, and by the way congrats on finding a family as great as the one you have.

oh buy the way people all Jagger was trying to do was tell you how great his family is and how honored he is to be a part of it so lay off him a little bit ok.

Report Post Tip

It may just be your point of view grudge. Other people much older than I agreed with me

I didn't come out here and call him a fucking idiot like I could have done if I really didn't care about showing people the way of the world.

You learn from your mistakes and the only way people learn is if you point them out to them. Of the three points I gave one of them did not even apply to him so he could ignore that and take absolutely no offence to it.

The second one was agreed upon by Ruaidhri_M so is he a dick aswell?

The third one was agreed upon by DeathKnight. So are we all dicks for saying what we said or will Jagger learn from this and become a better mafioso for it?

So yes, I could have mobmailed him about it. But is that the best way? will he really learn or will he just ignore it? who knows? I simply felt he had placed it in the streets for people to comment on. So I commented upon it.

Thanks for your totally uneeded insult though. It's nice to see Made Men walking round the streets calling aWise Guy, a Boss and a Crewleader a dick.

Report Post Tip

Mr Bighead I must admit that i am bitter about your criticism. To deny it will be to lie. But the purpose of putting a post on the Streets is after all to listen to other people's point of views. While it is nice to listen to praises, it is also important to hear the criticisms as well. Thank you for your contributions. I will learn from it.

Report Post Tip

I can understand that. My first ancestor on these shores had a godlike figure coming down to the streets and shouting down all his speeches and making them disappear.

He was incredibly bitter about it and was heard to constantly bitch about it. However he did learn from that experience and he felt that he became a much better street speaker because of it. He then passed his lessons down the generations to me.

I don't want to scare you away from these streets as they need new blood like yourself. But if I or others let things be posted that shouldn't be here or could be far far better than the standards we pride ourselves on would slip and it would become a mess.

Continue what you're doing as you obviously have a decent street voice and you will gradually learn what does and does not belong here then you can produce some much needed new topics around here

Also, just to point out, there was a speech by Butt_Ox about a week ago. If you dig around a little then you will find a manuscript and I'd say it pretty much made for your current situation..

Report Post Tip

I understand that it was for my own good and i blame no one for my inexperience. Thanks Mr Bighead.

Report Post Tip

laughs when he hears Bighead called "Mr. Bighead" by Jagger.

You couldn't be more right. He does have a rather large head.

Now, to Jagger's original point. It was nice of you to donate your first million, but yes, BH is right, small donations, in succession, would have been better for your boss. You never know when he might need that 200K.

Report Post Tip

Nice Jagger... i am sure you CL was happy to received such a donation... we all have our way of donating, as long as its on a regular basis. I understand what it is like to first start and not knowing anybody, as i came by that route myself. I remember Alessia being kind to me when i started, and get a personal treatment along with Adrian... who also helped me at the very beginning... along with a lot of other members such as Snip, Carlito-Brigante, waylander and others... everyone was cool. A gesture like a big donation is always a good way to show appreciation. Good work Jagger!
