The Walk Of Life. Started by: Silent_but_Deadly on Jul 17, '09 08:30

Sile walks around the streets and see's alot of things that are usual and common. She has been working on a poem forĀ  a while and decided to bring it to the streets, especially because she has yet to see someone do that. She gets up on a car roof and says:

Walk with me, the path of life,
to explore every bend of the road
Enjoy with me the beauty of life,
along its wonderful way

Find comfort with me, in each other's arms,
when grief crosses our path
Find strength with me, in each other's strength,
when despair lies in wait

Laugh with me, a single true laugh,
to enlighten another's distress
Cry with me, a single true tear,
to understand true happiness

Cherish with me, the wonders of life,
as they need to be preserved
Rejoice with me, in the mysteries,
of what is yet to be

Find peace with me, in each other's souls,
when the world has gone insane
Find love with me, in each other's hearts,
until this life has been fulfilled

And when the path comes to an end
I hope we can say from within
We've known the beauty of true love,
our love came from within

After she finishes her poem, she gets down off of the roof, and waits to see what people have to say about it.

Rumour has it that if you share those first few lines with our friend Google he recognizes them instantly...

Why claiming credit for something you did not wrote?

Report Post Tip

Probably because im the one who wrote it, thats one my old peoms hun.

Report Post Tip

My apologies if thats the case, I recognized the poem and Google directly loaded me with information over the poem.

Report Post Tip

Oh, no its no problem, I would be upset if someone did put up a poem that was by someone else. I take poems seriously, because it's my passion. But thanks! ;]

Nice poem. Its always nice to read one but.. personally don't take it to bad but.. I 'dislike' Poetry.

Grabs a stray google by the tail and carries it out of the street, releasing it in the alley. Wouldn't want a passing car to run over it ya know.

Nice stuff there Sile, well done. Thank you for sharing. I caught your gig down at the coffeshop the other day and particularly like The Gypsy Violin. You should put together a combo to back you up and play out more.

Thanks guys! Smiles,

& to Death-Knight- Ha, your fine, some people just dont like poetry, people like different things. But still thanks for reading.

& to Judge_Holden - Thank you as well, & I think I did see you in the audience, snapping your fingers for me. I will be sure to bring back the Gypsy Violinist. Smiles

Paisley, after having heard the poem, stares into the emptiness, clearly lost within his thoughts and memories. After a couple of minutes, he blinks a couple of times and says softly

I write poetry myself from time to time, but this is way beyond anything I've ever written. amazing. Thank you.
