Duplicity sat in her new headquarters, alone, and in the dark. She needed a moment to herself after all that had happened. She could remember the shots starting to ring out, but was informed it was okay for her to sleep. They had a plan and it was in the works. The next part that played in her mind was when she woke, she woke to the dead bodies of those she called family. She woke up to everything around her falling apart. Even now she could feel the fear in her heart. Yet, that was when her mind moved on to seeing Obstacle. The Right Hand of her former boss. Duplicity ran to join Obstacle as it was the last familiar face she really knew. After that many people from different backgrounds and cities had joined together, what was left from the devastation that the bullets had brought. They banded together and worked tirelessly to finish it. Duplicity never expected to make it out alive, she honestly didn't expect to even wake up, but now her eyes were focused on the future. When the last enemy fell she felt like she heard an angel singing. It was over, but she knew all too well that an angel would be the last thing singing in a war like this. It could only be the result of a Siren's Call. A war that took so many lives with so few left. Shaking her thoughts away and standing up from the table she sat at, Duplicity knew it was not about the past. She couldn't keep dwelling on that. Everything now was about the future. The future was not an easy one either. Rebuilding was going to be a long and winding road, but together she knew that they all could accomplish this. If an unlikely group of people could work so well together to see another day, then they could all easily get the ball rolling and rebuild together. Duplicity held a smile on her face now. These thoughts brought pride and happiness to her during this time of loss. This was going to be the smile she held for everyone to see. Right now was no time to mourn, the time right now was meant to celebrate the lives of those who died by honoring them with a bright future. Walking back out front, she stared at the sign that hung above. The letters read, "The Siren's Call". Smiling at what was going to be a new start for her and many others, she then turned to face the city of Chicago. A slight breeze tugged at her hair as she stared. There was no better place to embark other than here. Duplicity whispered to the city and proudly held her hands on her hips. "We're open for business." Then motioning for her driver to pull around, she got into the car and informed him to head down into the city. She needed to find those who were wondering and give them a place to call home. |

With so few left, it is hard to find someone that will truly shine bright. At a moment like this we need bright people to make bold decisions, or we will live in this abyss forever. Not many have the shoulder or stomach for this kind of work. It's not dirty work. This type of transitional period doesn't need a professional hired gun or masked men to terrorize the populous. Dirty work is easy. This world needs shining lights of hope. Beacons of the good that dwells within our community. Examples we all can try to live up to be like. Yes, we are mafioso, born and bred. But even the best mafioso get full on bloodshed. We need people like you Duplicity. May you shine as brightly as you aspire to. Don Obstacle could not have made a better choice. I wish you the best. |

As word would spread extremely fast on the new uprising of a very successful leader in the making, Night decided to take a flight to South Side, Chicago to see it for himself. Landing at the airport Night motions a taxi driver in the mist he'd ask to take a drive down into the city. the driver would nod momentarily before speeding off. Night would casually slide a couple twenty dollar bills out from his wad of cash handing it to the driver as he'd step out of the vehicle. He'd inhale shortly afterwards exhaling the smell of fresh air. Night would look around the bullet ripped streets noticing businesses taking down boards on their windows and re-opening as he'd smile briefly before noticing the one they call Duplicity. Night would kick his feet into motion proceeding towards the individual to thank her formally for her contribution to this interesting society. "How are you doin' ma'am, names Night i'd just like to thank you for everything your doing aroun'ere. My mother used to live in South side, she was a very wonderful women but passed sometime ago. I know if she were to be here she'd thank you so i'm doing this in her honor thank you." The man would stager off towards the closest side street pursuing down the block as he'd check his surrounding's lastly before the long ride home. |

Gollums take on the beginning of the Sirens Call. Duplicity Was in her office alone in the dark...Or so she thought. Gollum was there in the shadows like a creature of the night he was. Gollum didnt speak because he knew she needed a moment to herself. Gollum whispered in her ear, "Its ok to sleep." Then gun shots began to occur. She woke up and saw dead bodies everywhere. When the two former New York elite, Duplicity and Obstacle had left to Chicago to finish the war Gollum creepily followed along. Again, staying in the shadows. Gollum knew that Duplicity never expected to make it out of the war alive. Her eyes were focused on some far off object in the distance. When the last enemy fell Gollum was in a karaoke bar singing, it was angelic. It was over, but she knew all too well that an angel, like Gollum, would be the last thing singing in a war like this. It could only be the result of a Siren's Call. A war that took so many lives with so few left. Gollum was left and so were a few others. She started whipping her hair back and forth like a crazy person. Duplicity knew it was not about the past, because Gollum told her it wasnt. She couldn't keep dwelling on that. Everything now was about the object in the far off distance. Rebuilding was going to be a long and winding road, but together she knew that they all could accomplish this, especially Gollum. If an unlikely group of people could work so well together to see another day, then they could all easily get the ball rolling and rebuild together. Duplicity held a smile on her face now. Gollum held an obscure frown. These thoughts brought pride and happiness to her during this time of loss. This was going to be the smile she held for everyone to see. Right now was no time to mourn, but later there will be, the time right now was meant to celebrate the lives of those who died by honoring them with a bright future, Gollum would be singing. Walking back out front, she stared at the sign that hung above. The letters read, "The Siren's Call". Smiling at what was going to be a new start for her and many others, she then turned to face the city of Chicago. A Gollum tugged at her hair as she stared. There was no better place to embark other than here or in beverly hills because thats where i want to be. Duplicity whispered to the city and proudly held her hands on her hips. Gollum immediately followed because it looked quite important. "We're open for business." Then motioning for her driver to pull around, she got into the car and informed him to head down into the city. She needed to find those who were wondering and give them a place to call home. Gollum wasnt able to get into the car right away but he was immediately brought into the family. Duplicity, i want to express the utmost pride i take in you. I am so thankful that you were given this oppurtunity and i believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that you will set out and bring about a beautiful atmosphere to this life. Your friendship, Your leadership, and especially your dancing skills to Michael Jackson have been most impressive. May you live a long and prosperous life and i am blessed and honored to serve you and your family, The Sirens Call, in anyway you see fit. God bless you Duplicity. |

He floated about. It was fun. Then he heard the news, that Duplicity was to be given her own crew and he was to be its watchful protector, well, he added the last part himself but only because what more is a creature of his talents supposed to do? There aren't many of him around and his magicalness would be more than useful. Gleefully, he worked his way over and got ready to sing his praises to the woman, and this is when he realized a cat had gotten his tongue. Damn. That pesky feline was always doing this to poor Orko. "...!" That's all he was able to muster, but he was sure the exclamation he made by throwing his hands up in the air would be enough indication, and then he chased down the cat. He would get his tongue back if it killed him, but hopefully it wouldn't, because death by cat has to be one of the more embarrassing ways to go... |

It was a long dreadful week when Valium had to take up his father's place as the breadwinner of the family. He immediately contacted his father's boss and started helping him with the war. And after the long and what seemed like endless war, Valium was thankful that it was over. An old friend of his father then called him and arranged for his transfer to Chicago. He said: "I would like you to join us here in Chicago!" Without any hesitation, Val asked his Boss' blessing then traveled to the windy city. It has been a day or two since he found his new home and family. Standing at the headquarter's lounge, with his favorite drink in one hand, Valium raises it into the air and salute's his boss and his family in his own native tongue of Filipino...
"Mabuhay Duplicity!" "Mabuhay The Siren's Call!" |

Solitude was something Julian had grown used tp. For Julian solitude had become almost normal. Her grandfather had been a quiet man in life, cold but knowledgeable. He had raised her alone, imparting his knowledge and experience with cool words. Then he had died, leaving Julian alone, to wander aimlessly. But his lessons had stuck -- the most important, that of loyalty. Curiosity, more than anything, had drawn Julian to Chicago. She had heard only vaguely of the war, of the bloodshed. A few careful queried had led Julian to The Siren's Call. Curiosity had been the draw, but a reason to stay had been offered and she had accepted. A home, a family. "Cheers, Boss." |
