Walking down the street on a cold winter day Rover approaches an over-turned box and climbs on top of it. Whistling loudly he draws the attention of the surrounding crowd. Clearing his throat he begins to speak on a topic that had been on his mind for awhile now.

"Hello my brothers and sisters, I approach you today with a topic that has been rattling around in my head for a long time. It has to do with the new blood that arrives on these shores every day, and how we the older generation treat them. Now I've seen plenty of "green" gangsters and thugs around who are just looked over by the higher ups. Until someone makes it up high enough in our respective Family's we barely even consider them as a blip on the radar. But the way I see things, is that we should embrace these newcomers with open arms. I mean they are the new generation, they will one day be the important people around here when we are gone. I for one think we should instruct and teach them while they are new, so that way they don't advance with wrong ways of thinking. If we don't teach them how to live the life then who will, I know I didn't make it very far on my own. I had a series of people who helped me along and showed me the ropes. It made me into the person I am today, and those who helped me I consider them my friends and colleagues for all time. My point being for this speech is that we the "older" mafioso should be doing all we can to inform and teach the questioning newcomers, for it is our responsibility to make sure they are as informed as possible coming up in our world"

Taking a deep breath and rubbing his hands together he jumps down off the box and walks away silently, letting the crowd absorb his words and consider them thoroughly

Toni then gets up on the box and just a he's about to speak he falls through the box. "Ah Fuck!!"

i agree with what you say but if we teach them the way of the old days they will more than likely become robots and do what the elders of this way of life say i believe it takes all type of people to create this way of life

by all means aid and help them with questions of how to get them on their own feet but please let them create their own path in this life as it is not our right to drive them down our path i say each to their own and live the way you choose too if you create friction with someone you will either continue or learn from your mistake
