An orange glow of the roaring fire flickers in the corner of the onlookers eyes. The night is placid and the only sounds coming from the half opened window are the odd dog howling at the moon. A strange oblong shaped figures sits in the shadows in the corner of the room... Good evening again Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to my humble abode. Tonight, I come to you with a warm hearty feeling in my stomach. I see the most people I have ever seen milling around our world at the moment and to see it brings joy to an old man's heart. Sure, the streets aren't as lively as they could be but the mere sight of bodies around is good enough for me. Those new faces will eventually find their voices and pay us a visit soon I'm sure. We have moved on vastly since I last brought you a night time rambling. We have new leaders that have been authorised to run their famiglia to house the newcomers and the existing families have all expanded. I hope for the love of God this trend continues as we can only prosper for it, those of you who ache for war should learn to be more patient. With an increasing population and various new family heads popping up there will be plenty of blood to quench your thirsts because of our human nature... not everyone can get along. That's what makes this world so beautiful to live in, you can't predict every other person's moves. The recent rogues set sail and sunk without a trace because they suffered from a severe lack of patience, the moment they setup people knew they were never going to cause complete chaos. Is this the latest fad by the way? Get into your leaders good books then spit on them by buying out and killing people for no other reason than things aren't going EXACTLY how you want. It sickens me to see the lack of respect and patience some of the fallen have had. We are supposed to join families to serve and protect their leaders. It is your JOB, it is your LIFE. Until they say otherwise you are expected to bow to their whim. If they say "jump" you say "how high?". They are what keep you from becoming prey to the vast amount of hitters this world creates. I'll leave you with a saying that has long been forgotten in this world. Many preach it, few live by it. "Respect is earned, not given." The tall oblong shape sinks back into the darkness seeming very content as the crowd quietly ushers out of the building |

Well Bed I agree on the most part of your speech. But as for the rogues, I mean people are always told,"don't like how things are? Rank up and do something about it" Now that can be taken 2 ways. 1- Rank up get auth and make the best changes you feel will benefit the community 2- Rank up and do what you gotta do to take control to better things. We also have those that set up for the pure reason of causing chaos. All in all tho I do agree with your speech. The calm we have now with the new families is reassuring.I hope this peace will last but alas with the type of work we are in....chances are it won't. |
