BODYGAURDS

I may be the only one who thinks this but I'm going to say it anyways, I think the cost of bodygaurds is outragious. I am just a Wise Guy and bodygaurds for me cost $2,750, 000 each. Personaly I think that should be the cost of a bodygaurd for a Boss. A bodygaurd for a Gangster is something around $200,000, maybe other people did but I didn't have that kind of money when  I was a Gangster. I would like you now to comment saying the cost of your bodygaurd and your rank and give your opinion on my issue.

A bodyguards job is to what? Jump infront of a bullet for you. Would you offer anything less for what is very possibly your life? I wouldn't.

Bodyguards are not for the Plebieans.

Just so you know, bodyguard prices were cut in half some time ago. If you think they are expensive now, you would really have been up in arms back when you had to pay TWICE as much. Like the Flying Monkey said, bodyguards are not for everyone.  What makes you think every thug standing on the corner should have a bodyguard?

I dont think that every thug should have a bodygaurd, I'm saying that any thug who wants a bodygaurd cant afford one, at least I couldn't.

I think thugs with bodyguards is a silly idea!

See Tony, I too think it's silly for a low ranking mobster to have a flock of bodyguards let alone a few bodyguards protecting them. What makes a thug, gangster or even wise guy think they should be protected, and not worried about being that one to actually take that bullet for his/her boss? To have these bodyguards you do pay a good price, not unreasonable. I don't see a thug out earning a made man, let alone being more important than a made man. In a sense, any thing not made man or up is not truely a part of the family yet. They are still trying to get their foot in the door. They should be earning all they can and kicking up all they can so their boss notices them. What makes the world go round? Money. Same as in this thing of ours. We are in it for the money. Plain and simple. If we're not making money, we shouldn't be in this profession. More we make and kick up, happier the boss is. Less he/she needs to worry about you hoarding funds to yourself, maybe to go place a hit on another family head or them, or just up and leave the family and try to start their own by shooting down others? Maybe it's just me, but I notice these things. I see who is making alot, hear who has the big bank accounts and see who is kicking up the big dollar amounts, or who is kicking up the lower amounts. When you also become a full member of my family, actually someone important, then I feel you could ask if it's okay if you save for them, or in some instances your boss will even help you. But I don't think it should be under the rank of made man. So why drop they price. It's set to help prevent this I believe.

I think Dons Butt_Ox and HydroPhonic really put it best with what they said in their responses.

One of the common misconceptions by some young Gangsters is about "protection". The reality is, your boss provides you with all the protection you need. You are given guidelines to follow that will keep you alive, and allow you to prosper. The money you make for the boss will allow them to purchase protection for themselves, which in turn helps keep them alive, thus keeping you alive.

Remember, your boss can take your life in the snap of a finger, so its best to put your nose to the grindstone and work hard for them. They will provide the best protection you could ask for, not a lone bodyguard.

Toni, you're wrong. They're already too cheap, not restricted enough and it's problematic.

Not understanding how bg's actually work around here is as problematic as the cheap cost of them right now. If you think a handful of BG's as a thug or gangster is going to help you I can personally say I will buy you 5 and shoot at you and see what happens. I know what will happen, do you?

Sure some people get alot of assistance at start up and can afford them cheaply in mass quantities, others have none. Get used to it and maybe spend more time figuring out how they got them and fit it to your own schedule of activities.

I think the price of bodyguards could be a little less.. but im sure they have theire reasons why they are so over priced..

Reducing the price and making them more available will reduce their effectiveness and purpose. having bodyguards ideally acts as an avantage within the game. If they become widely available there is no advantage
