Anubis stands in front of you. That's all you need to know. You suddenly stop and listen.

You people disgust me. All of you. Literature leeches, the lot of you. That's IT. I hear "When is the paper coming out?" and "Where's the tribune?" but where's the stories? This paper is 99% freelance written. I've got one staff reporter and he works double time trying to whip your sorry asses into shape!

Get off your high bookshelves and write a goddamn story for once in your tiny miserable lives. Stop murdering each other for 5 minutes to write a decent story.

I've gotten a lot of submissions, yes, that's right. I have. But, why in the hell would I take a submission from someone who doesn't read my goddamn paper? If you don't know how to submit don't. If you do, do it properly. Submissions that aren't done properly are ignored, or replied to with nasty remarks.

I've got submission guidelines, I pay very well, hell, I pay better then that goddamn New York Times does. $1 a word my ass, I give you 100k for a story, and that's MINIMUM payment.

So, stop bitching and moaning about WHERE'S MY PAPER and start saying to yourself WHERE'S ANUBIS'S STORIES.

Thank you, go the fuck away.

Anubis stomps back into the Tribune office.

So... you want stories from us but if one is slightly wrong you will ignore it, I'd rather not send anything to you if thats what you do with failed attempts.

You have the god damn nerve to call US lazy when the old papers were done mainly by the editor herself, how about YOU write the paper for once? After all it is your JOB. We are mafioso we shouldnt be writing pieces of literature for an editor that has nothing to do apart from write articles. We have our own work to be getting on with to our boss' accord.

Take a look in the mirror sonny.

Why are you even in your position if you cant be bothered to write anything yourself, it has been 2 weeks since the last issue and you couldnt even do a whole paper yourself (wow that must be hard with the horoscopes and such almost writing themselves).

You want articles, you ask for them not demand them and then go on to say that half of what we write you will ignore anyway.

You sicken me. In fact after this appalling thread why don't you just quit as editor seeing as you're too bone idle to do anything yourself.

Don't expect the public to do your work for you, go hire some reporters and camera men, that way you'll have your stories every week. Your basically going to get people writing stories for you just to read them again themselves.

While I can appreciate the true tone of this... aneurysm... I must say that there was a spider in my kitchen the other day, and when I went to kill it, I couldn't find my trusty newspaper of death. It made me sad.

And terrified. Sad and terrified.

O Anubis, why hath you (and everyone else, apparently) forsaken me?

And before you even start, I did write a goddamn story once in my miserable life... or was that my father? Erm...

WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE? HOW DID I GET HERE?

Runs.

Your only accepting stories of things that don't exist at the moment. No wars,no cl deaths, pretty much nothing worth reading about.

Sounds like we may need to re-introduce the old Philly Sun to amuse the masses as this angry bear is no fun! GO DIE MAN, GO DIE IN A DARK HOLE WITH SNAKES

Walks in very eager to hear Anubis speaks

Could I submit a story about one of my appointments that went bad with a patient?

I mean it involves lubricate, anal cavity spreaders and my pet snake Rowdy.

Its a great story.

Big lolz @ these responses.

Surely you knew this was what happens when you took the job?

Like old Bed says higher up there, the two editors who produced more than one issue on time, did the majority of the work themselves.

Watch out for the snakes man.

Quite an attitude on him for a journalism geek, eh? Coming out in the streets and berating the people who run Chicago's underworld. He must be packing a gatlin gun behind the nerdy glasses and notebook.

On a separate topic, we could never be so lucky as to see a return of the Philly Sun. Now THAT was journalism at it's finest, printed and submitted by the mafiosi themselves, without going through a tempermental middleman. Great stories AND economic efficiency.

I suppose the first question you must ask yourself to overcome your...problem, Anubis, is why people aren't reading your Godamn paper.
Report Post Tip
He has a point.

Plato I mean. You know, I've tried and tried to read this paper, but all I see is the seagull shitting all over the place in the view beyond my hands holding the invisible newspaper.

Here's an idea Anubis, you could come up with ideas, post them out here and reward the best written article on that topic! At least then you actually do SOMETHING.
Report Post Tip
Walks in singing...

For he's a jolly good fellow, for he's a jolly good fellow...

Sorry I just think Plato hit the nail on that one.

Mr. Carlo very interesting idea. The_Proctologist likes.

Grins like a teenager about to squeeze his first pair of chesticles.
