Born in the back country part of Sicily around the turn of the century, The-King was just a country kid for most of his life. He enjoyed what most kids from the country liked, things such as fishing, hunting, running his coon hounds and many other daily activities

King was lucky for a child born in that part of the world at that time, his family was pretty well off, in fact it was more well off than even King knew and this would come to play a key figure in King's future. King's father was a busy and important man, this much King knew. His father could not always be there, but King knew that he was loved and well looked after. His family was a large and loving family, King being the oldest of seven children.

As the oldest his father would always inform him of his duties to his siblings and to his mother, he was to always watch out for them and to never fail in his duty to his family. Loyalty, Honor and Duty where ideas that King learned at a very young age. When he went hunting or fishing or any other activity he would take his younger brothers with him and teach them what he learned from his father. Kings father did spend all of his free time with his family and always made sure he took the weekend off to take the children out hunting or fishing in the daytime and would tell them stories in the evenings, and of course on Sundays they would all go to church as a family.

Things would change for King, however, for when he reached twelve years old his father took him aside and said to him this.

King I am very proud of you son, for you have learned well the concepts of Loyalty, Honor and Duty that I have taught to you. Today you have reached manhood my son and from this day forth your will now be an associate of the Valentino Family. It is a family rich in tradition and honor and one which has followed your progress very closely. Today the Don informed me that he sees great potential in you my son and that you will follow in my footsteps. Today is a great day for you son.
