I was only 14 when I first arrived in Detroit. I came to look for my father after my mother died, my uncle always said to me he was part of some called the Cosa Nostra but I never knew what that was. He left me and my mother when I was 2 he left me and my mother. First few months in Detroit I was living on the streets doing anything for money, food and to find my father.

I soon joined one of the many street gangs doing petty crimes robbing post offices, steal from old women nothing that got me alot of money. At first not alot of the guys trust me but through the months I climbed to the top of the gang and working with the leader.

Two years later near my 16th birthday me and 2 of the guys I started to hang round with wear standing outside the gang HQ when Jack saw some guy in a expensive suit walking down the alley. I nodded to Jack, he grabbed the baseball bat leaning against the wall as me and Fred began to walk to the ally. Making sure no one was around Jack hit the man over the head, as the man fell to his knees I walked in front and kneed him in the face, he fell on his back and Fred searched him for his wallet. As we walked back to the HQ the man pulled out a knife and stabbed Fred in the neck, he held the knife at my face as Jack dropped the bat and ran for his life.

I felt the tip of the blade press against my cheek. When suddenly he stepped back like he saw a ghost.

"What's your name kid?" He asked.

"Jay but my friends call me Soniix." I replied

"Who's your father?" He but his blade to his side as he waited for my answer.

"I don't know I never met him."

"Come with me kid."

He put his blade away as we left the alley and walked down the street.

"Look around kid, you see all this it belongs to one person, a women called Hydro one day your going to call her Don." He cleared his throat and spoke again. "Do you know what a Don is kid?"

I shook my head and he laughed.

"A Don is the head of a family and in my work we are all family."

"Ok so why would I call her Don?" I asked him.

"Because of who your father was."

"How do you know my father?" I demanded to know.

"You can find out later kid but for now we have some business to take care of."

We kept walking down a few streets until the man just stopped.

"You see that shop across the street." He said pointing to a butchers "the owner owns me some money go get it."

"what if he don't pay?" I asked

"then you make him" he answered laughing.

I walked into the shop and left 5 minutes later holding a wad of cash to see the man eating a bag of peanuts never figured out where he got them from. He began to walk again so I followed, he walked into a huge compound guarded by men with Tommy guns. He walked into a building telling me to wait out side. He came back out a few minutes later with a envelope.

"What's this I asked?"

"Your welcoming gift your one of us now, just like your father.

I promised him I would look after you if you ever came here when he died."

"He is dead?" I asked in shock.

"Sorry kid, look we will talk again later got to go see the Don you will meet her one day. Go take a look around, heard to the bar meet the others." He pointed to one of the buildings.

"Hey what's your name?" I asked as he walked away.

"Steve but my friends call me Riddle." He smiled and walked into another building.

I opened the envelope and pulled out $100,000 with a note saying 'Welcome to Reckless Hearts'
