| Care for a cup of coffee? | Started by: Stan_Ligambi on Jul 03, '15 17:42 |

Stan came out of the HQ with a big flask of coffee in his hand. He looked around to his men and gestured them left and right so that they would set up the tables in the right places, right in the streets. Stan set the flask down on a table in the front and positioned his tired butt on a seat around the biggest table. then looked around to see a few by-passer and then addressed them: "I know there is a 'WAR' going on and all and you are busy. but seeing as there are so few mobsters with a decent enough gun are still alive, I think it's safe to assume that this war will go on for a long time still halving the number of those guns till that end. It hasn't been more than a month since we witnessed a war that ravaged the land. this was supposed to be a rebuild which turned into a second wave of destruction." "Well I am sick and tired of it. So I'm going to sit here and sip some coffee. Meet some new people and talk about mundane day to day stuff and get to know some of you good folk." "So, anyone care to join me? I have fresh coffee." "Have you seen that new movie? Gone with the Wind." |

Average Joe heard one of his family members talking outside so he made his way out to see what was happening then he saw the set up of coffee and the tables and heard Stan_Ligambi small speech so he made his way to the table and took an open seat "Man this war is such a stupid fucking thing eh? I mean I thought we were going to rebuild we just had such a large war I don't know why anyone would think to shoot and start this unneeded war" Says AJ "Whatever though let's talk about life Fuck this stupid war talk... to answer your question earlier no I haven't seen Gone With the Wind but I have heard it's a good movie" AJ smiled and poured himself a cup of coffee |

"Coffee sounds great, I'd love to join you for a bit." Clara sat down next to Stan and took a cup of coffee to sip, screwing her face up at the bitter taste. There wasn't any cream for the coffee and the flavor, though delicious, was bracing and acidic. It was a good cup of coffee though and it warmed her hands in the cool morning air. "Gone with the wind, isn't that the one with Clark Gable and Vivian Leigh? I read the book but i haven't been able to see the movie yet, too much going on moving to Los Angeles." |

Stan was pleasantly surprised with how quickly some joined his table. AJ said he hadn't seen the movie, but before Stan could say a bit about. A lady joined them who also grabbed some coffee but her facial expression reminded Stan of something. so he turned around to one of his men and said: "Marlo, go bring some sugar and milk." The lady was saying how she had read the book but had not seen the movie. "Well the movie is the same Civil War romantic things. guess it appeals to the female audience better cause I really didn't see what all the fuss was about." "I saw the Frankenstein Movie some years ago. haven't seen anything come close to it ever since. thought this one might, but not my genre I guess." |

after handing Chemoiks the coffee he asked if there was any brown sugar around, so Stan turned back toward Marlo again: "Marlo! Did you bring sugar? is there any brown sugar?" Marlo was moving his enormous body into some corner after placing the sugar and milk on the table but after hearing Stan's question he turned around and answered: "The sugar is there Mr.Ligambi but I did not see any brown sugar in the HQ." Hearing this Stan turned back around: "Sorry mate, no brown sugar. I can send Marlo to buy some if you want though." |

Armada was busy in the kitchen making up flasks of tea, had heard there was a small gathering of folk who were taking time out from the recent goings on and decided to see if he could join them. Gathering up the tea flasks, some milk and some sandwiches, Armada headed out. As Armada approached the table, Stan was talking about movies. "I saw the Frankenstein Movie some years ago. haven't seen anything come close to it ever since. thought this one might, but not my genre I guess."
"That's the one with Boris Karloff?" Armada asked before saying "Oh, pardon my intrusion. Good afternoon all, may I join you?" |

She heard the mention of someone handing out free coffee in the streets. Coffee was her second addiction, right after that damn whiskey. She made her way through the new face sitting around to the man with the coffee. Stan, hello, very nice to meet you. I would love some coffee, its been a long day. Cream, sugar, and whatever else you have to put in it. She takes a seat amongst the unfamiliar crowd. Reaches for her flask, ready to pour some into the coffee. |

"That's the one with Boris Karloff?" Stan turned around and was glad to hear someone had seen the movie. so he smiled back at the question and asnwered: "YES. that is the one. Oh and no intrusion at all. please do join us. Can I interest you in a cup of coffee." It was then that he noticed tea and sandwiched so he got off of his seat and said: "Oh allow me to help you with those. and thank you, these are great." After putting the tea flask and sandwiches on the table, Stan sat back down and continued: "So how did you like Frankenstein movie. I had read the book before watching but i have to say James Whale has done a great job directing that movie." |

Takes her coffee and sits back. After pouring a generous amount from her flask, she takes a sip. You are right, the coffee is amazing. Takes another drink. Well, I just recently moved into Chicago. Pretty nice place so far. |

"I'm sorry I must have forgotten to introduce myself, I'm Clara." Clara extends her hand towards Stan for a firm handshake before turning gratefully to accept the small pitcher of cream for her coffee, watching the swirls of light billow throughout the dark bitter liquid in her cup. "The book was an interesting read, I'm not sure how well the movie will do. I heard they had a two year search for the girl who would play Scarlett and if that's not dedication, I don't know what is. It's not something I'll be picking up my skirts to run and see any time soon though. Los Angeles is a hub for people trying to make it big, can't hardly go down the street without seeing some dolled up starlet or roguish actor making appearances for their adoring fans. I prefer the drama over the romance myself." Clara took another sip of her coffee, satisfied with the mellowed flavor as the others chattered about Karloff and the Frankenstein movie. |

Armada poured a cup of tea from one of the tea flasks and sat down. "I see you're all coffee drinkers here, but if you're feeling inclined, this is a great flask of tea, feel free to help yourselves." Turning to Stan, Armada answered the question Stan had asked. "I enjoyed the movie very much, I don't think I've ever read the book. I think the director was great, I think he's got a great career ahead of him." Armada picked up the sandwiches he'd bought and unwrapped the plates. "I figured a quick bite might go well with the hot beverages. I made some ham and cheese, and turkey clubs. Naturally I also had to include a few spam, it's tradition." Motioning to the sandwiches, Armada tells every one at the table to feel free to tuck in. |

Checking out a new place and notices a few familiar faces having a cup of java in the local hut. Wondering why all are gathered here. Noticing alot of graves in a distant field and not a soul weeping. I carry on about my own business. |

Stan felt glad by the company that had gathered. It was always nice sitting around and chatting as opposed to shooting each other in the back of the head. He wasn't sure whether it was the coffee or the notion of the gathering that had brought these good folk by, but for him both were equally likable. Stan decided to try some of the tea that Armada had brought. only to burn his tongue when he tried a big gulp. cringing and with tears gathering in his eyes, Stan let the almost boiling water run down his throat. then blew on the tea before sipping away slowly, enjoying the taste. "oh btw Clara, let me introduce you to Hayley. you have both recently moved to a new city, Clara to Los Angeles and Hayley to Chicago. I myself have been here in LA for a while now. Started off in Detroit though." |
