Stan_Ligambi went up on a podium that was put together in the streets on Inglewood, Los Angeles. After the technical work was done and the microphone was set up, he held the device and addressed the masses:

“Dear Everyone. You all very well know the current situation so I will skip reminiscing about that part. I will just say the things that brought me here. Uncle Joe_Ligambi was killed; after finding out I tried to keep the living members of the family together so I kept in touch and finally after Al_Ligambi repaired the HQ to full potential, I joined him and helped him as much as I could which sadly was not enough. I was away for a while and returned to see him amongst the dead. This final development robbed me of the will to go on, especially with this damn war. I broke my piggy-bank to help rebuild and ever since Al’s untimely death I have been trying to put penny over penny. During which time I got some heart-warming calls and I have come to a decision.”

Stan paused for a second to catch his breath.

“I will use all the money I have gathered to repair parts of the old HQ, so that it could accommodate a few members. I will however follow a different policy than my predecessors. I WILL NOT shoot at anyone or allow any of my crew to do so. I WILL NOT contribute to any war effort, may it be giving locations or shooting bodyguards. I do not say this for the hopes of surviving; I say this because I am sick and tired of this war. Tired of helping others win their wars. This is NOT my war.”

Stan then looked at possible associates and continued.

“If you feel the same way as I do, join me. You will not be asked to hold your shots; we have all seen the Durdens around BUT if I find out you shot at any crewed members or uncrewed member whose Leaders were shot in this war, I will NOT waste one second in HQ WACKing you. You will not be asked to hold your flights; after all, money is to be made with such flights. However, I WILL NOT promise you survival nor avenge your death; this only applies to the remainder of this war of course. As you can see, this HQ can only keep so few members but if enough of you join and enough money is raised, I will indeed further the repairs. Remember, I am just one call away. You must come to me as I have no way of knowing which of you would like to take on this endeavour”

Stan then addresses Penny and her crew.

“We had a short chat earlier, and I feel you and I are almost of the same mind. And I believe we can work great together. But for the duration of this war, Inglewood will be a different state from Hollywood. I sincerely hope you understand my situation.”

He then turned to members and leaders of other crews.

“As you can see I have decided to try and renew the Ligambi Crime Family; if I die in the process, so be it. I would prefer that death to dying without trying or surviving while turning a blind eye on what Uncle Joe envisioned.”

“If I however survive this conflict, I intend to bring about radical changes that will enforce LA, at the cost of isolating us from other cities. I do so hope it will be with the help of you Penny. However, at the moment I shall only care about accepting those who are of the same mind as me into the family and starting to rebuild off the ashes of Inglewood. You can continue your war as you see fit, it is NOT mine.”

Before climbing down the podium, Stan looks at the crowd again.

“Thank you for listening and good luck to you all.”

" This is NOT my war."

It very much is your war. You're leaders decided that they wanted to join in.

So you are saying through this that you do not go with their decisions. Great.

However, there are a few problems I see. By sitting this out you are stating that you do not care that people were wrongly killed. You don't care that people thought destroying the rebuilding process was a great idea.

So to me you are stating that you would rather save your own skin then fight for a cause. Good job.

It was my war. My leaders decided and I followed. I found, couldn't do much but I did my best. Right now however, the story is different.

I Do care for the dead, killing more ppl wont sooth anything though. I am on the side of those who want to rebuild rather than destroy, but then again, destroying more will not help.

Technically my skin would have been much safer if i had not set up. I am sure you agree.

So you would wish for those that were keen to destroy to remain standing? Because that is all you are saying.

I doubt that the fact that you are sitting pretty means anything good right now. There doesn't seem to be much wriggle room at the moment though.

I don't even see the point in all of this. You will be gunned down like the dog that you are. It's just a matter of time.

Openly and proudly announcing your intention to sit on the fence in the middle of a war was only ever going to be a sure fire way to encourage somebody to shoot you right off that fence. 

I see you in the Obits now...Perhaps if you would have worked with the group instead of being self centered and out for yourself, maybe you wouldnt be lying inside a wooden box..you're priorities were a bit askew.. 

"Fence sitting" will not be tolerated by anyone on any side of the war.

It only shows your are nothing more then a coward and do not deserve to wear the bold suit.

Unfortunately we were robbed of Stan_Ligambis's stepping down speech because he was prematurely shot down by people with absolutely no sense of humour.

I have heard through reliable sources we missed out on such nuggets of awesome as:

"Hi, I'm stepping down, bye"

"That fence had splinters"

"I just wanted to make a difference"

I'm not one to piss in people's cheerios. But guys shooting this god amongst men was a mistake. The guy had a life a HQ and a dream and you took them all from him. And what is a guy without a life a HQ and a dream? He's dead. Think about that.

I actually respect what he was trying to do. Why not try to become a Switzerland and just be neutral and house those who also want to be neutral?

so many people on such high horses... Some of us are absolutely fed up with the bloodshed and can't wait to get out of the war...
