What of those family members of the deceased? Should we wear our ancestors old badges to ensure (as best we can) safety? Or is there a standing order protecting all un-employed neophyte members for 7 days as well?

Putting up your former tags until you find a home that you want to be settled in is one way to go about not being shot. If you're not on a 7 day vacation, and wearing one of the tattoos, you are off limits unless you break a rule that means you need to be killed for whatever reason. Steal a family name to wear until you find the right place for you, but not wearing a tag is your own fault if it results in your death.

So by being dishonest and lying about our allegiances we are some how afforded the respect to let us live? That seems to be back asswards in a number of way's...

I will take my chances and where a sweatshirt / pin that say's "Decendent of the War, working towards a family" If I get shot because of some itchy finger who can't be assed to use common sense so be it. Atleast I will have died with out betraying my honor.

It means you have some time to find a new home before some trigger happy gunner shoots you in the face. Don't do it, though. It's no skin off my nose, nor will I shed a tear.

Why wouldn't they be? Unless they are IA, they are protected. A lot of these crews were from our side and those left from the other side are free to find homes too.
