Chuckyknuckles takes a walk through the streets. It's absolutely enthralling at everything that he sees. There's everything. On one corner - there's a thug that hasn't been off the boat for two days making a senseless raging speech in response to the protection order and blowing his head off, there's a guy making a speech over the perceptually senseless resolution to try and bring a little stabilty in the world. He takes a stroll down OOC Avenue and all he sees is anger and complaining. He turns a corner and sees a newstand. He picks up a paper and reads some enthralling interviews and quality journalism. He went into Numberone's facility and tries his hand at being a comedian only to be boo'd off the stage. Yet - life goes on. He sees people with similar genetic traits of legends that once roamed these streets. Things always refresh and life goes on for some. For others, their bloodlines continually find their way here. Chucky thinks of his father, and his grandfather, and thinks about how he always knew growing up this would be the life that he chose. Chucky goes into a speakeasy and purchases a barrel of ale and takes several mugs with him. He opens it and sets it on the street and calls for attention to himself.
"Good day Everyone. First and foremost, I bought this ale, and as you can see it's too much for a man with even my tolerance for ale can handle. I'd invite any of you to take some as you listen and hopefully share your thoughts."
"My bloodline has only been on these shores for a short time. Less than a year. I know that my parents loved it. I love it. The reasons are many, but I think I can sum it all up when I say the word community. There's those of you who make me laugh, and challenge my thought process. And yes - there are assholes too. Assholes are everywhere. I guess you can group them into the people who make me laugh category. We all come here and choose this life for a reason. I guess the word I choose for me is community - and all it's diversity. I mean - we have people who say we don't talk enough anymore, and then there's the ones that say we talk too much or don't say the right things. There's people who are tired of war, and people who live for conflict. There's people who encourage others to be their best and people who continually live with anger and hate. But - I love all these people for different reasons and the diversity they bring us. After all - It certainly isn't my favorite thing to continually hold up the post offices."
Chucky pauses to snicker at his dry humour and looks out at the small crowd gathering. Once again - nothing.
"So - being new and liking to listen to everyone - I would like to hear what everyone has to say. What made you choose this life of ours? I'd even like to hear from the people who show up here and say it sucks here. Somehow - their bloodlines always seem to make it way back even though this is such a shitty place. I apologize if some of you have been around so long that I am beating a dead horse, but I am interested and would like to hear what people have to say again anyway"
Chucky dips the biggest mug he can find into his barrel, slams it all back and then fills it up again and finds his way into the gathering crowd where he is more comfortable. |

"The nature of this way of life, the experience and rush it brings is like a drug. Living by the code of values as we do and dodging the law, it's all just another day at work." Watches as a prohibition era cop approaches the barrel, picks it up, and walks off. "Oh yeah, and you can't do that either." |

Out of the darkness appears a shadowy figure puffing on the end of a gut wrenchingly strong cigar sipping a double scotch. clearing his throat loudly he takes one long drag of the cigar and stubs it out on the nearby wall. Finishing his whiskey he tosses the glass casually over his shoulder where it shatters all over the street. Tis an interesting question you pose. My bloodline roamed these streets more than a decade ago, but due to an unfortunate incident, my bloodline disappeared for years. Recently I was beckoned back to the streets by some friend, a Godfather no less, who talked my bloodline into joining the life of crime once again. I had been kidding myself that the straight and narrow was the way to go for me and although my father died in the first war, and his son in the second, the wars brought me closer to those in the families that are around now. I have developed stronger links between people across the cities that wouldn't have been as easy in times of peace, although now I am looking forward to playing a part in the rebuilding. For me life and death is part of the life of a mobster. you never know when a bullet is coming your way or a police officer is going to through you in the slammer, or a drug run goes bad. But the connections you make and the mobster friendships that develop will keep my bloodline on these streets for the near future. Having said his piece, the shadowy figure slips back into the darkness, the broken glass cracking loudly beneath his boots. taking out another long cigar, biting the end off and spitting in on the floor, he lights it and the strong smell of cigar smoke fills the alley where he is standing. I have some business to attend to but I shall return to see what others have to say later. and with that he is gone. |

Cin had listened to chucky. As she sat nearby she began to contemplate the things that keep her interested in this community. First off let me thank you for making me use my brain. If I have to use my brain it's good. Second there are a few things that make this place interesting. Friends. The Friends that I have made in this community could be worth staying here alone for. They are amazing people. People that will challenge me to think and see things in different perspectives. If your not being challenged to see things differently, to do things better or just to try then what is the point really? It is the friends I have made that challenge me to this more than anyone else. Creativity. The stories and discussions. I just love them. If I can find a discussion that I feel like is worth my time I feel like I have hit the jackpot. If others don't agree with me, that is okay. I like seeing how other people think and why they come to the reasoning that they do. No two people are the same and will not have the same reasoning for their convictions. To listen to stories is awesome. Others may not like stories but I love them. I love to know where people are from, what their stories are and how they made it to the shores and what they have done since being on these shores. She smiled as she had finished listing some reasons. These are my main two reasons that I find this community of ours so interesting. So worth staying around for. |

''This world is worth staying around in just for some bastards I like to call friends.. and other bastards who I like to skirmish with in the streets. And this world looks rather sleek really.'' |

Hayley thinks about the question. What was it that pulled her to this world, kept her coming back. So many things. There is just something about this place that draws me in, I can't pinpoint it exactly. I think its a little of everything. Most of all for me its the people. Over the years I've met so many interesting people that have became great friends. Its also everything about our world. The great debates and conversations, the chaos, all of the various criminal activities. The people and the world are constantly changing, I come back to see what is going to happen next. She wanders off, trying to think about what it is exactly that encouraged her addiction to this life. |

for a long time my family line has stuck around, more to watch from the sidelines and keep an eye and up to date with a few friends from the old country they had no other way of contacting, and working with some friends like TyrionLannister they hadn't had chance to before. They floated round semi-aimlessly just trying to keep the feel up for the place whether force of habit, or whether hoping eventually to help a friend out when the time came. As for me, i tried to come back with a fresh hope to try and feel i still wanted to be involved in a life of crime and see if was worth building up the ranks once more. I watched as cities fell and new empires raised and thought where do i fit here what can i do for a family. Waking up with a sudden promotion from WG to boss, the first of my family to pass wise guy in three generations i suddenly felt i needed to be doing something and moved to the hitcher with the hope of unlocking some of my latent enthusiasm and potential. I needed something fresh just to make me want to be part of the society as suddenly the social aspect was not enough, i needed a bit more of the competitive edge but not so much i never got to enjoy what i was doing. Will be a hard balance to find but will be an interesting journey. |

Henery Hawk walks the same streets as his fore feathers and has never seen the demolition of buildings his father once crapped on thru the wires. Looking back! What were they thinking? No jobs, no structure wth! Why did they stay? Rebuilding will take alot of effort but what do i know im new to this city. Looking up to the sky, thinking i should fly. No! I will stay and be as my fore feathers were apart of this once beautiful world and hope to make it a better place. |
