Drip. Drip. Drip.
Cin looked down at the white dress her mother had stuck her in for this house party. Now it was spotted with blood.
"Great," she muttered. Her mother would kill her once she saw the seven hundred dollar dress ruined by a few spots of blood.
Gathering up the white purse by her side Cin made her way out of the party. She grabbed her friend Nathan who her mother had just barely allowed to this social gathering of hers.
"C'mon lets go."
"But I was getting in with the hideously old boring women here," protested Nathan.
Cin rolled her eyes and pulled her friend along. She headed towards her room so that she could change out of the hideous dress. It was time to don her dark blue jeans and a loose t shirt. She took her hair out of the complicated up-do and left the curls flow free. Feeling more like herself she grabbed her bag and her mother's secret journals.
"To the fort? You think it will be safe there?" Cin asked.
"Don't see why not."
So they took off from the house out of Cin's window. Cin couldn't afford to be caught by her mother or she would miss the action in the downtown area. She had heard there were gun shots going off. So of course she would head in that direction. Wherever danger went, Cin was sure to follow.
As they neared the fort they heard the gun fire ring in their ears. The shooting was close as they slipped into the empty building. They made their way to the roof and slid into a corner where they thought that they would go unnoticed. For awhile they did but suddenly they heard a man approaching on the rooftop stairs. Nathan pushed her back against the small wall of the roof so that whoever came up would only see him. She prayed that this person would go away.
Tap.Tap.Tap. The sound of the person's shoes coming up the stares. Soon the door would open and they would be exposed. They did not have to wait long as the door handle turned. She held her breath as the muzzle of a gun could be seen. He came through the door wildly. His eyes were slightly crazy and you could smell the fear off him. She knew instantly that he was young to the world her mother was apart of. She tried to grab Nathan to pull him behind the building but it was too late.
Pop. Pop. Pop. The gun was shot and Nathan crashed back into Cin.
"Dammit."
She laid Nathan on the ground to see where the man was. The pistol fell out of his hand in what she could only assume was shock. His first shot ever, cute. Quickly she grabbed the knife from her boot and ran at him. Her blade striking through his jugular. As his blood ran through her fingers she looked back at Nathan. She felt sad to see her best friend down but knew she couldn't be seen here either. Grabbing her stuff she was off again.
Seph, she thought. She'd find him. He had been to her mother's parties once or twice and she knew he could be relied upon. Quickly she had found his headquarters that he had set up after the death of JaimeLannister. Spotting him amongst some friends she ran past them like a whirlwind only to stop in front of Seph.
"What can I do?" she asked him.
Soon she found herself amongst the chaos. Her hand as steady as it had ever been under pressure and she found she could hold her own. Praying to whatever god would listen that she would make it out alive.
