As your walking down the street minding you own business you hear some rattling noises and you look up only to see Grassboy rattling two sticks of the railing off of the balcony which he stood, looking around trying to grab everyone's attention.

I'm not going to rope out to much information in my story, but when I had joined the late Reckless Hearts I hadn't a notion who any of their family lineage was so I was baked blind but through my life I had found out who their fathers and grandfathers were and realised that my family line and theirs hadn't been the best of friends in fact there was a moment in the past were a betrayal on my behalf had occurred.

So one day I brought this up in a conversation with them and they had let me know that they don't trust me and it would be hard to see me become apart of their family and that I would need to prove myself on many other levels than most new family members do.

At this point I could have quit, I could have retired from my life of crime, maybe waited a few years and come back to it within another crime family but that isn't my way of life anymore, I've been trying to better myself and stop making the stupid mistakes that my ancestors once did.

So I got back to Reckless Hearts and I apologised and that was the first step, from there on I kept bettering myself, working hard, donating all the cash I had, doing anything asked of me. Until one day were they give me a break and promoted me to sub crew leader, from there they could watch and see if I would become successful in that role.

So I did I shone through it, I kept everyone under my command in line, I sent in my daily reports and I kept everyone as active as I could, even myself. I became close to the Reckless Hearts; I became close to the family; I became a Reckless Heart and in the end I would of took a bullet for anyone in the family.

My questions to you all is, have you ever joined a family and had something to prove, to yourself and them?

I would think that everyone has something to prove to them self and their family. If they don't then what are they doing here? If you have absolutely nothing to prove to yourself or anyone for that matter then you basically have no purpose.

I know that everyone in my family line has set out to get somewhere and be someone and not just lay around the HQ doing jack shit but taking up space. I want to be someone and do something not be a knot on a log.

My father had a very large disagreement that led to his demise by the hand of ThomasRourke. As time went on Thomas gave me a chance to represent himself and the city of New York by extending an invitation to his family. This came with large strings attached. He knew who my father was and what had happened between them, which meant I had lots to prove to him. To make a long story short, I did my thing and worked my ass off and look where I am now.

To sum this up I think that everyone regardless of past lives or previous opinions always has something to prove. Whether it be proving that you can carry a gun for the family, become an actual part of the family by getting Made. or numerous other things. If you have nothing to prove then you have no part in being a member of any family. Family heads look for people that go the extra mile to show that they are worthy of responsibilities and trust. People with nothing to prove usually wind up sitting there with the rank of Wise Guy, forever aspiring to get that illustrious Made promotion, but never receiving it.
