Paul walked down the street with his bodyguards close behind. He saw a group of kids playing stick ball in the street. He whistled to them. Hey you kids come here. I got a small job for ya. The kids came running to him with their eyes as big as baseballs. They knew of him and the respect he got from the grownups in the neighborhood. "What can we do for you, Mr.Walker?" One of them asked. You see theses papers? I want you to pass them out and hang them on some telephone pole's. I need to get the word out about this little contest I'm having. Can you do that for me? There will be a cash reward if you can. "No problem!" Paul handed each kid a twenty and a stack of the papers his bodyguards were holding. The kids took off running and started placing them on cars and handing them out to the passing people.

It was a cold morning on the streets of philledelphia Paul walker was just wondering about looking for a reason to carry on maybe I should quit now and jump of a bridge or something thoughts like these kept coming into pauls mind. His whole family had been hunted down by a gang in his old neighbourhood and he was the only one to get away alive. "There was nothing strange about the day i first met Odd I was walking down the street looking for somewhere to get some protection from the harsh cold winds and to think a little more. Then I saw a figure in the dark he looked at me dead in the face and asked me if I needed a job. something about him told me everything might just work out. "I jumped up and shouted yes Sir anything." "Ok then he said meet me at this address in a couple of hours" A few hours later. After a few hours of waiting on the winds to die down I got up and headed to the address the stranger mentioned. I arrived into a warehouse with lots of truck full of bootleg and other contraband. The stranger came up and greeted me. "Ah you came, didn't quite catch your name earlier what is it? "Ah ah Paul Walker sir." "Nice to meet you I'm Odd or some people might know me as don Odd "Now the work I want you to do is very good paying but hard. "Are you in you a warning you could go to jail if this fucks up." "Yeah I'm ok with that. "Ok there is a witness that just refuses to go away now there is where you come in." Before I could say anything he slid me a package I opened it and inside it was .45. "Ok I said where can I find this witness?" "Odd then hands me a piece of paper containing an address" "He should be there." "Ok Witnesses house I crept silently to the door and forced my way in. "Hello I shouted stupidly." Because a man came running out with a pistol I jumped out of the way and shot one bullet hit him in the thigh another in the chest. I slowly walked up to him and shot him in the head to make sure he was dead. Then I ran out of the house down the street and a car drove past me I thought it was the police and I was dead so I took out my .45 and prepared for my last stand. But the door opened and I heard A familiar voice say. "Get in kid." It was Odd. I got in the back of the car. "Hello Mr Odd I got him yeah we know you did good kid you handled yourself well. "How would you like to join Spirit?" "I would be honoured to." "Welcome aboard Paul." He said. The End |

It was a very warm day in Philly when I, Paul_Walker, was walking down the streets eating a Ice Cream. I witnessed some respected man named Odd getting pickpocketed.Although it was very warm I threw away my icecream and hunted the pickpocketer across the crowded streets of philly. Some old lady gave me a strange look, just as if she wanted to have my icecream. With each step I came closer to my target. After chasing him for 10 minutes I finally got a hold of him and threw him on the ground.'You have to quit pickpocketing respected men, it could end you up in jail or swim with the fishies!' I said.'Now give me back the money!'They guy was so scared he gave the money immediately. In the meantime Odd was coming my way.Shylisly I gave him back his money.'That was a very noble thing you did for me' Odd said.'Especially because we don't even know eachother'.'You must be a good man'.'Let me take you under my wings and give you a home and protection'Gladly I accepted his offer. That's the way how I met Godfather Odd. |

Paul Walker had spent over a year working towards and finally infiltrating the infamous Philadelphia family under the guidance of the well-known and feared Godfather Odd. Odd whilst expanding his fearsome family with the help of faithful RHM PR_Rep, was seemingly unaware as to the true identity of the promising gangster Walker whom had caught his attention on numerous occasions. Walker was first brought to a Capo of the Odd family after a freshly promoted Wise Guy noticed his unique attribute. Whilst interrogating a low-life going-no-where street dealer for his local contacts Walker sensed the presence of another walking down the dimly lit alley. He quickly identified the Wise guy as a local up-and-coming dealer who had some affiliations to the mob. Quick thinking and innate instinct led Walker to dish out some harsh treatment to the street scum, acting as if he was a rival dealer: "Whats the problem?", said the Wise Guy in a young but deep huskey tone. On returning to the station Walker reported to his superior on the nights strange occurrence. Whilst the mob was not his primary concern the opportunity was too good to pass up and so began his undercover operation. After 3 months of working with the Wise Guy who was being deeply considered by the higher authorities to become a made man due to his shrewd business operations (largely down to Walkers ability to avoid the cops), the Wise Guy had long realised Walkers ability. Walker was somehow able to detect whether people were lying or telling the truth. A walking polygraph, one of the reasons the FBI employed him in the first place. This had become extremely useful on those dark nights he had spent with the Wise Guy meeting and doing deals with other families as well as members of the police (accompanied with a red envelope indicating a cash incentive). This ability, the Wise Guy thought, would definitely lead to his promotion if used correctly. "A pawn to my plans" mumbled the Wise Guy, deep in thought. Walker did, as he seemed to more and more recently and worryingly with less effort shot the man. Unlike his training taught him, he did not shoot him once between the eyes and once in the stomach. Instead he blasted 4 rounds across his body making this hit look like an amateur attack, as the police report would say. Case closed. The Warehouse contained over $10million of Phillys finest Cocaine. Whilst the place should be reasonably unguarded the only problem was that it was situated next to the local jail, making surveillance an issue. The Wise Guy noted to Walker, "If we pull this off, I'm getting us an introduction" Whilst Walker had only been under the Wise Guy for just under a year now he never expected to be heading for a meeting with the top-dog. Odd who was strangely known for his generosity and kindness had a strong reputation for being cold and ruthlessly savage when needed. Walker who could tell when others were lying with almost 100% accuracy could not always lie as well as he had hoped. Checking back with the other FBI agents which had become sparsely routine of late, Walker filed his report. He never noted any of the killings he himself had made and found himself writing in less detail on the few occasions his reported the actions and goings-on of the mob. This had not gone un-noticed by the top-brass at the FBI and when advised to quit Walker stubbornly refused. He'd become so close. The warehouse operation had been successful and thus a meeting with Godfather Odd and the Capo had been arranged. Walker did not know how he would react when confronting Godfather Odd. His official orders were to gather information on the mob members which could be used in court to send them down for some time. Killing in self defence was also encouraged...However being away from the force and spending more time with his new associates had started to change the mindset of Walker. Was the drug dealing so bad? The killing? It started to all make sense. Walker would rely on his intuition and his ability when making the decision. Walker and the Wise Guy approached the tall well lit mansion after the bumpy journey down the long lane leading to the druglords abode. Security, Walker noticed, was impeccable. Cameras, Bodyguards and dogs surrounded the house for the Godfathers protection. On entering the house they were greeted in typical Mafioso fashion with an embrace and a kiss on each cheek. Walker felt at home. After introductions they were led to a smoke-filled room with comfortable seating and a large imposing desk seated at the end. In stereotypical film like action, Godfather odd swung round on his rotating chair to face them and stood up. Odd was magnificent in stature. His slim but well toned body and sharp bone structure gave the Godfather a handsome appearance, defying any expectations of an hunched old man. However Walker could see in the eyes, he was very good at reading people, the emotions of someone who had been through a lot. More surely than most people experienced. Godfather Odd was as eager to find out about Walkers ability as Walker was about Odds motives. The two sat down at an unoccupied part of the room. After an in-depth conversation ranging from motive to morality Walker realised that the Godfather of Philladelphia, Godfather Odd was indeed an honest man. But also that his reputation of being kind and generous was genuine. Walker inferred that Odd, who used brutal methods when called for is a caring Godfather who honours and values his family above all else. Walker now felt part of Godfather Odds family and felt a special bond forming between the Godfather and himself Walker was now a hunted man... |

After hearing about the new competition, Clay decided to fly to Philadelphia. Where else better to get information about the Godfather of Philly than in Philly? Upon arriving, he headed towards the redlight district in downtown Philadelphia. Several lavish bars were open, filled with customers of different ages. But these were newly opened, so he continued to walk till he got to the corner, where an old bar stood. A wooden sign hang on top, and written on it was simply "TAVE N". "If there's a story to know, I will find it here..." Clay then enters, pushing the creaking door open. The place was dimly lit with several oil lamps. He looks forward and saw an old bartender, with one eye covered with black cloth, wiping the top of an old scarred bar. He walks towards him and takes a seat. "Good evening sir, Im Clay." he said introducing his self, looking at the owner. The owner looks up, then grins "Good to see you here Clay, though I think you're lost. People around here calls me One-Eyed-Jack." he tells the young man who was wearing a clean suit and black leather shoes. Jack wondered why someone with money would want to visit his Old Tavern. He sighed, remembering how the place was packed and full back in the old days. Back when people would come for a drink, share a story or two. But now, only a few stragglers would come and most of the times, they don't have money to pay for their drink. He then looks at Clay and says "What can I get you?" while wiping the bar top, trying to remove stains and dirt that has accumulated for years. Clay looks at the empty dusty display shelf, then at the single mini old oak barrel. Having nothing to choose from he then orders for a beer.Jack smiled then throws the rug on to the empty seat behind him. He then takes out a mug and fills it up under the barrel and hands it to Clay. "Here you go....." then pulls up a chair in front of Clay. "So, what brings you to Philly.... more so, what brings you here to my Tavern?" he asked, not only with curiosity, but with caution and danger. His visitor was here for a reason. No man in fancy suit has entered his place for years.... until now. Looking at Jack and wondering what this One Eyed man could do to him.... Clay feels for his gun. He knows he could shoot the old man if he tries to do something to him. But instead of reaching for his gun, Clay takes the mug then takes a sip. After placing it down, he answered "I'm here on business, I need to know something." then looks at Jack "And I think you could help me." Still looking at Clay with curiosity, Jack wondered if his past was haunting him, then again this might be just a stupid cop. But one thing's for sure, the guy has a gun. So without warning, Jack grabbed the young man's head and pins it on top of the bar. He grabs his steel bat from underneath with his other hand, then waves it up while whispering to the man's ear.. "I'll give you five seconds to tell me why you are here or Ill fucking crush your head and use your brain matter as wax for my bar." Clay tried to struggle free but the Tavern owner's grip was like steel. He tried to grab his gun which was hooked to his left hip but heard another growl from Jack... "You think you're fast enough.... faster before my steel could smash your head?" He tried to look at his surroundings, but the hand that was holding his hair lifted his head then smashed it back on the bar. Feeling that his nose was already bleeding.... Clay decided that this was no time to lie... And when his head was again lifted up for another smash... he blurted the reason why he was here... "IM TRYING TO KNOW HOW GodFather ODD AND PAUL WALKER MET!!!!!" After a few seconds, he felt the grip loosening, then his head was set free. Clay stood up and grabbed his handkerchief, and held it under his nose. Jack walks to the back and comes out a few seconds after holding a raw meat. He slapped it on to Clay's nose saying "Hold this, this will keep the swelling down, and I hope the bleeding too." Jack again sat in front of Clay."So why do you need to know about Odd and young Paul Walker?" His eyes still cautious, and his hands ready to grab the steel bar that was sitting on his lap. Clay places the meat down then drinks his beer. He then looks at Jack, and explains "Paul Walker has announced a contest. 2 million dollars for whoever could tell how he met Godfather Odd." he takes out a pack of cigarettes then fishes out a stick. He continued "So I figured, this Tavern is the oldest one here in Philly, if someone would know the story, it would the oldest barkeep in town." He then points at Jack... "That would be you." Jack leaned back, and ponders.... is this man for real? 2 million dollars!... He then leans forward towards the young man "If I tell you the story, what will you give me in return?" Clay lights the cigarette then takes a puff. And when he tried to exhale it out, blood flew out of his nose. He dropped the cigarette onto the floor then stepped on it. He wipes off the blood then takes the meat and places it back on his face. "I'll give you $200,000 for the story." Jack takes the steel bat and tells Clay... "I know the story, maybe the only one alive who knows it.... let's split it 50-50." Clay eyed the bat and decided that there was no way he could get the story without giving in to what the One Eyed JAck wants. 1 million is still better than nothing. Clay removes the meat and hands it back to JAck. ""Okay, 1 million each, but my drinks will be free for the rest of the day while you tell your story." He looks at the Tavern Owner and waits for his answer. Jack takes Clay's mug and refills it, he hands it back then settles comfortably in his seat. He takes out his pipe and lights the tobacco with a wooden match. After several puffs, and contented with the smoke, Jack started his story..... It was years ago when Odd met Paul Walker. It happened in this tavern. You see, back in those days, this Tavern was where all mobsters hangout. This place was filled with men and women, who wore suits just like you. Now, back in those days, Jimmy ruled Philly's underworld. And Odd was one of his captains. Odd held court here. Men would come here, bringing him money, asking for favors, needing help to settle disputes. So to get to the story.... One night, I was about to close up, Odd was done with his business and asked his men to go ahead. Sometimes, me and Odd would walk back to his place after closing up. We shared stories of our childhood days here in Philly. You see, growing up during the depression wasn't easy. And that thing was what made Odd and me friends. And during this particular night, he wanted to walk with me and enjoy the cool night. He was drinking whiskey while waiting for me to clean up the place. I left one oil lamp open, which made the place dimmed to semidarkness. We were about to leave when we heard someone trying to open the back door. Odd signaled for me to be quiet while he turned off the lamp. I grabbed my baseball bat while Odd took out his gun. We walked carefully towards the door and stood on each side. The lock finally broke and the door opened. A young man, younger than you, around 16 or 17, came in silently. Seeing the place empty, the intruder lit a match while his eyes adjusted to the darkness. Seeing that the would be thief wasn't aware of persons inside the tavern, Odd smashed his left fist into his face, sending the young man flying towards the window, and breaking it upon impact. Odd ran towards the intruder and held him up. He pointed his gun to the burglars face, asking him what he was doing here. The young man, being caught by surprise, standing up shakily told us to go fuck ourselves. This brought out a laugh from both me and Odd. Nodding at me for help, we lifted the young man and threw him out onto the street. Strange as the evening's event was, the young burglar unluckily fell onto the feet of a patrolling Cop, who was very furious about it, asked Odd to explain what he did to the young man. Odd then narrated how the young man tried to burglarized my tavern. He also told the cop that I was also a witness to the whole event. Disgusted with the young man, the cop handcuffed the thief and warned Odd that he would find the truth eventually. As the thief was being hauled into the the police car, Odd felt pity for the boy. He saw his self in the young man. Odd started out as a thief, then rose through the ranks under Jimmy the Lion heart. The boy was also starting out. And he was good with locks. And more important, he had courage. Maybe he could use him. So we went back inside and Odd placed a call. Minutes later, his men arrived. Odd asked them to go to the local precint. He wanted a young man to be taken out of there. "I want you to do everything, bribe the captain, bust him out, or create a disturbance in there. No matter what you do, I want that young man here tomorrow morning.I want him out of that Jail!" those were Odd's exact words. After which he and his men left, Odd headed home, and his men went to the precint. I finally closed the tavern and went home. "That's it?" Clay asked..... "So that's how they met????" "The didn't even exchanged a whole phrase!" Clay said, feeling duped and feeling the prize money slipping from his fingers. Jack stood up and took Clay's mug and filled it with beer. "Did I say THE END?" he looked at Clay with sarcasm then hands him his beer. He walks back to his seat then continued.... So the next day, I opened up early to meet the delivery man, it was a Tuesday and my liquors get delivered every Tuesday. After cleaning up, Odd's men walked in, with the young thief tagging along. A few moments later, Odd arrived. He sat in his favorite table and ordered for coffee. He then asked the young burglar to seat infront of him. "Tell me your name young man." he asked him. "My name is Paul Walker." he said sounding tired. One of the men slapped him on the head and told him to answer with respect. Paul looked at the man with contempt then looks at Odd. "My name is Paul Walker ... sir." he repeated. Odd looks at the boy then takes a sip from his coffee. he then tells him "Ok Paul, here's the thing... you tried to rob this place, and this place is owned by my friend. You rob my friend, you rob me." He lifts the cup again and finishes his coffee. Paul spoke quickly "Last night, at the prison, several convicts tried to harm me when they heard I crossed you. Luckily, your men came just in time." he said with a shudder. He can still remember and feel the whisper of one of the jail mate telling him he will be hunted if he decides to cross Odd again. He then looks up at Odd then says "I'm sorry for what happened last night, Ill pay for the broken window, Ill quit stealing from now on, just let me live.I didn't know who owned this place. And I didn't know who you were." he tells Odd, who had a poker face on. Paul quickly adds "I'll quit stealing and criming from now on." After a few seconds, Odd broke into laughter..... "Nice... just nice." he stood up and walked towards the broken window. He looks out and tried to think for a few minutes. He nods his head, coming to a decision, walks back to the table and sat. "Now is not the time to quit. I can use someone like you. Work for me and I'll give you protection. Learn the ropes, value respect and bleed for the family,... and you will one day have what I have." he tells him. Paul looks up at Odd.... he didn't know what to say. When he was brought here from prison, he thought he would be beaten then killed after. But now, this man was offering him work and protection.... this man was offering him his life. He smiled happily then said "You've got yourself a deal!" then spat on his hand and offered it to Odd for a shake. This earned him a slap in the head again. He looked at the burly man and wanted to punch him. But instead he mumbled sorry then looked at Odd. "Ill take your offer sir." "I will work, bleed and die for this family." he said with promise in his voice. Odd stands up and was happy with how things turned out. He took his coat and was about to leave when he turned back to Paul and said... "Just call me Odd." then walks out with his men in tow. Clay smiled and finishes his beer. "So, that's how they met." Jack looks at Clay and adds "Well you know how the story went.... They worked closely together, formed a bond of trust and they became brothers in crime. Paul eventually became Odd's right hand man. And when Odd became the GodFather of Philadelphia, Paul Walker took over his family and became a captain." Finishing his story, Jack stands up and glares at Clay..."You probably know that Odd is a good friend of mine. He treats me like a brother too. And Paul is more like a nephew to me. So don't you think you can escape with the prize money. I will hunt you and kill you if you ever cross me." he said this while playing with his bat. Clay looks at the bat and was amazed at how it appears and disappears when Jack wants it to. "Hmmmm,.... strange." he tells his self. He took his coat and his hat and tells One Eyed Jack, owner of the Tavern.. "My word is the only thing I am sure of. If Mr Walker decides that your story is really how he and Godfather Odd met, you'll get your money." he then bades the owner good bye, gave the tavern a last look and thought what one million could do to the place.... then leaves into the night. |

ANOTHER VERSION "Hey kid.... so you want to know the story of how GodFather Odd met Mr. Paul Walker?" the old man sitting in the corner table of the bar asked you. "Come closer then, grab a beer and order me a bottle of whiskey." he puffs his cigarette and tips the ash to the floor. He continued smoking till he got his whiskey. "Okay, come closer now, and listen closely, coz Im going to tell you how two great men met and changed the destiny of Philadelphia Underworld." It all started one summer, right here in Philadelphia. Odd was starting out his career in the moblife. He was working under Godfather Jimmy the Lion Heart. He was a promising mobster since the start. Whatever Jimmy wants, Odd gets it done. So one summer, Jimmy got an information of a truckload of valuable appliance passing through Philadelphia. Who better to do the job? Ofcourse it was his most trusted man, Odd. He gave Odd the details and left the planning of the hijack to him. Odd being Odd, he planned the heist for many days, thinking of every possibilities and scenarios, making sure that nothing would go wrong. And when the day for the job came, Odd was ready for anything. He picked a spot in the highway where the jacking would happen. It was a long stretch of road, about a kilometer or so... with thick woods on both side. He placed one man on the corner where the long stretch started, while he and three of his men waited at the other end. They waited patiently for the truck to arrive. Odd checked his watch and was surprised that the truck was five minutes late. "Strange..." he thought. Jimmy's intelligence was superb, usually on the dot. "Something must be wrong." he kept thinking. He was about to cancel the job when a mirror flashed sunlight towards them. It was his man at the other end, signaling them that the truck has arrived. Odd came out of his cover, brushing away several leaves that fell on his coat. He looked into the distance and saw the truck approaching. What bothered him was that the truck was moving slowly.... very slow. It took several minutes before the truck reached half of the long stretch, and upon reaching it, he signaled for his men to barricade the road with two cars, forming a road block. As soon as the truck reached the road block, it came to a full stop. Now Odd and the other mobster walked casually towards the truck, while the drivers of the two cars went down and headed for the truck cab. They all carried a shotgun. Odd was the first to reach the truck, he climbed the cab and opened the driver's door, pointing the shot gun with his other hand. After opening it, he jumped back to the ground and aimed the shot gun to the drivers head, while the rest of his men surrounded the cab. "Get down sir, we're taking your truck." Odd said pleasantly to the driver. The driver didn't move, he was pale and terrified. So Odd climbed back up, ready to haul the driver out when he saw another person riding with the driver. He was a young man, and he was holding a pistol pointed at the drivers temple. The young man spoke, "I got here first, better move your cars out of the way and let us go." Odd shifted the barrel of the shot gun from the driver and pointed it to the young man. "Hate to tell you this, but this truck belongs to Jimmy." The young man smiled at the threat.... he cocked his head and looks at the three men who were surrounding the truck cab. He then turns to Odd and tells him "This ain't Jimmy's truck.... This is Paul Walker's truck. I got here first." The driver, scared shitless, began to speak... "Take whatever you want. I didn't witness anything." His comment earned him a smack in the head from Paul. Odd smiled at the childishness of the young man. He understood what was happening. This young crook was working alone. And he was working in Jimmy's territory.... His Territory. The kid was feisty and had a fast mouth. He looked at his men then turns to Paul... "Here's the thing, I'm a patient and a lenient man. Put your gun down, and I might let you live. I say quit what you're doing and I will forget that you tried to take Jimmy's truck." he said, pointing the barrel of his shotgun to Paul's face. Paul laughed at Odd. "You see mister, as soon as I saw your road block, I knew you were going to hijack this truck." he then looks around him and saw Odd's men closing in. "I tell you what, let's share the loot and I won't shoot the driver." Paul said, trying to sound convincing. But he knew he couldn't shoot the driver. Paul was a just man. Yes he was a crook, but he won't kill innocent people. He wouldn't have innocent blood on his hands. What Paul didn't know, Odd was the same as him. Odd wouldn't dare shoot civilians. He was a mobster, but he had morals. He would even give the driver of the trucks he hijacked some money so they could travel back home. But now, this young crook was giving him a dilemma. Jimmy gave him a job. And he never failed doing his job. But this young man was provoking him. Only one solution...... Odd then raised his shot gun, ready to fire..... when the sound of police sirens came. He looks out and saw four patrol car coming from both side. He looks at Paul quickly, and smiles.. "Lucky boy! Fate is on your side." Odd then jumps out and dashes for the woods. He didn't bother running towards the car because the four police car now became eight patrol cars, and they were blocking the road on both sides. Odd ran, signaling for his men to scatter.... if they all ran in different directions, they would have a better chance of escaping the cops. After running through the woods for half a mile, he stopped and gathered his breath. Odd always felt exhilarated when he was being hunted. Although he would prefer being the hunter than the hunted. But still, it gave him the same adrenaline rush. Few more meters and he would reach the highway. He can catch a ride from there and head back to Jimmy's place. While resting, he heard someone running towards him. He took cover behind a tree and waited. Few seconds after, a man dashed and ran past him. He recognized him as the young crook back in the truck. Odd silently followed him.... trying not to step and break the dried branches that was scattered in his path. The young man stopped and rested, he didn't know that Odd was following him. Paul was relieved to have escaped the police. But was sore that his hijack failed. He needed the money. He was trying to catch his breath when he felt a cold steel on the back of his head. "Don't you fucking turn your head." Odd growled from behind. "I should have shot you awhile ago.... You sabotaged my job and you cost me a lot of money." he said. Odd was so angry and furious that he didn't notice two cops silently heading their way. One of them walking slowly, with his gun aimed at Odd. But Paul saw them. He noticed them right after he felt Odd's shotgun on his head. Paul tried to think fast. He kneeled quickly, and with one continuous motion, he pushed the barrel of Odd's shotgun away from him then aimed his pistol with his right hand towards the nearest cop. He pulled the trigger and watched the cop fall down. He then grabs Odd and pulled him while he started to ran. Odd quickly looks at the dead cop and followed Paul quickly. The other cop was now shooting at them. But it was hard to aim at moving targets, especially when there were trees blocking his aim. They ran until they reach the highway. They hailed a car, who luckily was one of Odd's men. Dino, his driver, escaped the cops and was looking for his boss. He was relieved to see his boss at the side of the road. Odd and Paul quickly entered and sped off. Odd looks at Paul and wondered why he saved him. Moments ago, he was going to shoot him, but the young crook opted to save his life rather than letting him die, thus saving his own skin. Paul saw that Odd was looking at him. He knows that he was wondering why he did what he did. So he started to speak.... "I know you were going to shoot me for bungling your job. But if I had let the cop shoot you, that would leave me fighting against two cops." he then takes out a pack of cigarettes, fishes a stick out then light it. After several puffs... he said, "And besides, I can learn a lot from you." Odd listened then smiled. It was a close encounter. He looked out at the window and wondered. The ending could have been him dying, or arrested and brought to jail. Although he was sure that Jimmy will have someone bust him out, Odd didn't like the idea of going to jail. He then turns back to the man who saved his life, to the young crook who protected him.... "I think you will fit in our family." Odd tells Paul. Paul smiled and ponders for a moment before answering..... "And how will that benefit me?" he asked. "Simple." Odd replied back. "You work for us, you'll have our protection." then adds "You protected me, let me repay the favor." Odd then looks forward. "Work for us and I will train you...." then turns again to Paul.... "Just follow me, heed my advise and you will reach great heights." Paul turns to Odd.... then nods. He offered his hand, which Odd took. Then they remaind silent the for the rest of the trip to Jimmy's house. -the end- |
