Cash Cow Started by: Antonio_Montoya on Aug 05, '09 01:02

In the beginning of my life I thought I would rule the world with my millions of dollars that I would make in such a short span of time that it would make people's heads spin.

Here I sit at Wise Guy, and obviously I'm not ruling anything. I've become what I dread. I've become a Cash Cow.

Now this is an honorable position to be in, as every family needs money. But it's just not for me. Before I explain why, let me define what I consider a cash cow to be:

A Cash cow is in love with the money. They save and store away every dime and dollar like so many nuts in a squirrels lair. They even have issues buying drugs because it costs so much. The only thing that gets them to is the knowledge that, some time soon they will earn a profit on those very drugs. And bodyguards? Why the hell would I pay someone to protect me, when they can't save me from being pickpocketed? Huh? Explain that to me!

The last thing I believe makes a Cash Cow is... dare I say it... Mutability. They don't want to open their mouths, as spending five minutes in the streets means one lest post office to rob, or one less prostitute to pimp. It's a growing problem, and one that I've let slide into my daily work habits.

So the basis of this speech is not to say I'm sorry for what I've done, because I'm not, I love my money and my money loves me. What I came here is to ask you, honestly, how horrible--or, in this case, usual--has it become to just wake up and rob stores and what not, and never once speak out about what we all know and love in these very streets that we rampage on a daily basis?

Is it right?

Is it wrong?

Is it close to extinction like leopard print and polka-dots?

I fail to see the correlation between cash and being a mute. That is because there is none.

I see no problem with being a mute. Being a mute does not therefore make you a cash cow, Who's to say you have to voice your opinion? We still live by free will right?

There are alot more mutes then there are just cash cows up there.

There is a considerable difference between mutes and cash cows, Mutes : They do not speak out upon the world, but who is to say they are not following it?

Cash cows on the other hand, They are generally deaf dumb and blind. Heh as long as they can sprawl out on a hotel bed with their money after a heist they are set. AMIRITE?

I did not say that being mute automatically makes you a cash cow. That is merely one of the deciding factors in my definition of the term. If you listened closer, you would have realized there are a few more important deciding factors in that definition as well.

Honestly, I've wondered the same thing myself many times. Not being the most outspoken member of the community and focusing more on my personal goals has sometimes made me feel, shall we say guilty for not taking on a more active role in the community. However, I do find it better to be a respected member of the community rather than an outspoken one (not that one interferes with the other). Personally, I prefer to stay quiet for the most part. Unless I have something important to say or a strong opinion about something or feel that I can give valuable input, I rather not meddle in other people's business and conversations.

speaking as a relative new man on these shores i just wanna point out 2 things

Its not totally transparent how to get in the loop so people (read me lol) turn to money cos its common knowledge that if you wanna catch the dons eyes green is the rigth colour to go with

And as to speaking up...i guess its the only way to truly becomming a member of a community but aint always easy to get started with so as iMgOoNaMaKUReYezBlEd said...you migth be mute but still do your best to keep track of whats going down and whos who.  This being said im coming to my point...those well established here can really be fundemental in giving us new comers fresh of the boat a hand so we can get going. And thats what i experienced alot of helpfullness and backup, its been so great. In some way i feel ive almost been carried, but to get back to the issue of this thread, how much a part of this was the blind focus on money i had the from the outset? can money mongering be an easy backdoor to building those connections so needed in a crime underworls such as this?

Finally i wanna send my respect and love to the great guys of Retribution and  PedroRouke for lifting me out of the gutters and giving advise and backup needed to find my way around these great citys
