In this world we all belong to families that belong to a city; in a game that is meant to represent real life mafia families circa 1930 I believe, please correct me if I am wrong. But outside of the Godfather running the city we don't know who controls the lion share of the city. Take for example NY in real life at one point the Gambino crime family was the strongest crime family controlling majority of the NY criminal activity or at least having their hand in it. This leads me on perfectly to what I came here about. Basically I would like to introduce (or if it has already been mentioned reintroduce) "Interactive Maps". Which basically represent the day to day control of the city or percentage owned of the city. However, to add a spin to it their will be a cap on how much a CL can earn in respect to the percentage hold they have in their city. This is how it would it be represented, in City A Godfather C allows the auth of Cls E, G & J and then he gives them a percentage of City A (percentage of city given out depends on Godfather) to carry out their day to day business. Even with E, G & J's businesses running at full capacity they feel they are not earning enough, so E gets his crew together and decides to takeover a percentage of the city held by G but feels that G is too strong so E recruits the efforts of J to go after G and then they split it up between them. So after this hostile takeover E and J's earnings increase increase with the new percentage hold they have on City A. Some benefits of this is that it will increase friendly competition, tactical play there will be more in the game to attain after reaching CL and before becoming Godfather. There is also potential in this to increase RP in such cases as recruiting other families for takeovers and orchestrating deals with other families. I also believe that when the family controls a certain amount of the city they should be able to purchase larger HQs or at least be able to auth Captains, if it was hard coded into the game as it adds to the realism of in game play were the family is too large to look over without a caporegime. Tell me what you think about this idea. |

Wow, this idea is really quite good. Im surprised that it has received no comments. Very good idea, it would be wonderful to see it incorporated. The only negative I can see about this is that within the city, there will be a degree of mistrust between the CL's. This would result from each CL thinking that his colleagues might be plotting against them. |

Well all they've announced so far is that they're splitting cities into districts, not that they're using any of the rest of this idea... |
