Now I was just walking down the street minding my own business when a thought pop into my head. If you don't have a brother just imagin you do. Now imagin you and your brother joined one of the many crime familys and you both enjoyed it and climed through the ranks. Then one day your don comes up to you and tells you to shoot your brother but does not give you a reason other then to prove your loyalty just orders you do it or you will be killed.

He clears his throat then speaks again.

My question is would you do it, would you kill your own brother with no reason, just because one person wants you to prove your loyalty and to save your self. Could you pull the trigger?

It's either he finds somebody else to kill him or most likely you will both end up dead.  So all in all if it was my brother I would prefer to be the one to do it then just the next runner up with a gun.  So yes, yes I would.

You do as your leader asks. They are the one that provides the ultimate protection to yourself and knows what is the best for the entire family. They are where they are at for a reason and you must trust what they say and ask and know regardless wether or not you are given a reason it is for the best.

It may be a initiation or a test of your loyalty. Perhaps your brother was skimming or plotting against your CL. It really doesn't matter. Your loyalty lies in the group.

It all depends on the situation. If you are close with your brother, what your position is in the family, all these things count. Remember, this is the mob, things are not happy and easy, but at the same time we are breaking rules day after day. Why should we turn our backs on potentially the one thing in the world that is closest to us and means the most for the person at the top of the heap, who has everything?

Would he/she turn their gun on their family if asked? Is not the action of disrespecting your saintly mother considered punishable by death? Or laying eyes on another mobsters wife a commandment in the mob?

To be honest, any boss who asks you to kill your own brother without a definate and justified reason is not one I want to work for and is more so just a sadist. You the killer of your brother deserve a reason, if you are to carry out this task. Maybe he betrayed your blood family, or ratted out members to the cops.

I agree,If you are close to your brother than thats blood nothing runs deeper.I would die with my brother but if you are not close to him.I would kill him

 Whether im close or not family is family and im not killing my brother and if my Don threatens my life when he tells me to do this it'll be his last words cuz i'll shoot him on the spot and tell my family sumone else did it

I do have a brother and I pray he feels the same way when i say YES I will kill him. Like Lugi said I rather it be me pulling the trigger then some other punk with a gun.
