Samuel was late, he was a good 15 minutes late however this did not make him rush the task at hand one bit. His fist was bleeding slightly, not so much though that it concerned him at all. The heavy he had just floored was eyeing the young Gato from the ground, the impression his head had made on the once gleaming tiles quite clear and obvious next to him. Sam stood behind Mike Capone, listening intently to the Wise Guy talk business. This shouldn't take long, but could take all day if done incorrectly. A local had failed to keep up his protection payments, instead hiring some thug to stand over him when the mob came calling. However now the big ape was nursing his jaw, finding it a much safer and wise decision to stay on the ground than bring himself back into the confrontation. Capone was growing weary of the situation, Sam could tell. Intentionally losing his cool, calm, negotiating demeanour, the man threw the owner up against a wall and held his collar so tightly that the shopkeeper would eventually run out of air. "I am sick of your shit. Either you pay up, or you are going to lose everything." The man gurgled a response and nodded slightly, and Mike dropped him. "See you in a week, don't worry, your business is safe with us" Capone cracked a smile as he and Sam left, going their separate ways once outside. "I gotta be somewhere Mike, thanks for today""Anytime my friend, take care." With that, Sammy Gato picked up his pace and lit a smoke, trying to judge how ticked Mancini was going to be when he met him. Hopefully he'll still be sat at the café, carelessly watching the minutes go by with a coffee and a pie. Sam smiled at the thought of being able to predict his friends behaviour, just as the café came into sight. |

Gabriel was new to this way of life. Looking for a chance to get noticed. He wanted his "slice of the pie" and would not stop at anything to achieve this. As a request from his father, he was looked after by the underworld leader of Detroit. She was such a saint to his late father and second cousin and now he would have to earn her respect like they had. "Where is this guy?" Gabe muttered to himself. Gabriel was left this note late last night, right after the shooting of his father. It told him to visit Angelo's Cafe the next morning. He didn't argue but he knew what had to be done. He knew what kind of lifestyle his father had led and it was very intriguing. Almost like one of those famous talking pictures he had seen and often dreamed of. He took a sip of his espresso and waited for his contact to meet him. I guess this was go time. |

As Sammy spotted Gabriel he smiled. The young man looked as he had in his youth, still baby faced but was expected much of in his coming life. Sammy had met his father, and grown up around Doc Santoro, so in his younger years had known of Mancini. Now it was time to help this fresh face into the world, as Sammy was. Surely the two could survive together, if Gabriel's ambition and drive was half as much as Sammy's then the two would be a fantastic team. "Gabriel Mancini. In our early years of frollicking as children and hearing of your name growing up, never once did I think we'd be in this situation together. It has been a very long time signore" Taking his hand and shaking it firmly, he removed his jacket and sat in one of the chairs around the table. Stamping out his smoke he stretched backwards before leaning his elbows on the table and giving all his attention to his contact. "So tell me my friend, how are things going. I was terribly upset to hear about Edward" |

Gabriel smiled as soon as he spotted Sammy. They were childhood friends who often played together as little tykes but were separated as the years went on. "As well as can be expected. I had just spoken with dad last week. I believe he was going out for some dinner when it happened." Gabe takes another sip of his espresso. "But what can you do, eh? The life we choose" "How are you doing, old friend?" |

"Things are good, Gabriel, taking their time but is as to be expected" Ordering a coffee, Sammy sighed and looked out across the streets, the greys and browns of the buildings brightened in places by the stalls and market awnings, people wandering about their lives and enjoying what good weather we were lucky to hold on to. "Must say I miss the old days, when my father and Doc were still around, being young an naive still has alot of appeal to it if you ask me." Coming out of his day dream, Sammy turned back to Mancini with a smile. "But anyway, how are things going for you? Is there anything I can help you with?" |

Gabe smiled and nodded as he sipped the last little bit of his espresso. "I'm just picking up the pieces right now. Taking things day by day. Getting acquainted with a bunch of old friend as well as meeting new ones." As the waitress dropped off Sammy's coffee, the two continued to stare out the window. A million things running through Gabe's mind. He could barely keep his eyes open. Maybe a vacation would do him well, but where would he go? "Scratch that" he thought to himself. While eavesdropping on a random conversation to the table behind him, he notices a small boy running down the street. The boy had this terrified look about him. A tall man, with a grey jacket was chasing after him. The man carried a small pistol and seemed to be shouting something at him. "STOP! GIT BACK HERE, BOYYY!" yelled the man. Gabe and Sammy both looked at each other and stood up to catch a few more moments of the action. "Let's see what's going on out here." Gabe replies. Sammy gave an approving nod and they both hurried out the door to lend a helping hand. |
