In short, I don't think it should be allowed by those who are lower than the rank of Made.

It makes 0 sense to me for a leader to pick pocket a Gangster and then said Gangster being able to mug them for millions, especially when a CL has plenty of Bodyguards. Realistically, it makes 0 sense as bodyguards wouldn't allow it. It would also certainly mean the lower rank be killed.

I tried to introduce this in to my family rules a while back that those below made couldn't mug those who had reached the rank of Made Man and above, I feel the rank lacks the respect it deserves already. I'd love to see it actually coded in though.

In saying that, I'm not sure how hard this would be to code in, but I'm sure most will agree it is not just an annoying aspect of the game but an unrealistic one too.

I'd say it doesn't make sense that a leader picks a pocket (such a thing for lowly scoundrels!) of those under Made anyway. Your arguments about it not being realistic make sense, but I think we must always find a balance between realism and enjoyable gameplay.

I think that if leaders don't want to be mugged, they shouldn't pick someone's pocket - common sense that works for anyone else. Personally I think we should leave it like it is.

Can a gangster mug a Godfather? Yes. Can the Godfather shoot him for it? Yes. This is not something that game mechanics should control imho.

As Squishy already stated, you give permission to be mugged as soon as you pickpocket.

Everyone knows the risks, some CL's even have it stated in their HQ what the risks are, and not to mention that most city rules state they will not deal with pickpocketing disputes. I think it's fair to say that the CL/Godfather takes on the risk when they stick their hands into someone's pockets regardless of rank.

Me. I have mugged the same CL 3 times (he knows who he is). Not one time has this CL threatened me in anyway. In fact recently we egged him on and he did it, and we played a game of wack a mole. (flew to wrong city so i lost). We laughed about it.

I forgot to add that you  may want to check about whether or not you are allowed by the gods to outlaw mugging in any way. I do remember NY suffering for something similar to that, except they at the time banned mugging completely
