Flying High Started by: Duplicity on Aug 02, '15 04:14

It had been ten hours and Ramza was still inside the headquarters, staring down his nemesis. The two of them had been battling it out for a couple hours now. Duplicity was in her office and heard the commotion. Tables were being shoves out of the way and chairs were falling. She felt like there had to be trouble going down, so she pulled her gun out and prepared for the worst.

Opening her door slowly she aimed her gun towards the noise, only to see Ramza using his suit jacket to wack down upon the table. Duplicity felt a bit frustrated at the scene before her. She was sure that the man had lost his mind at this point and was started to second guess the decision she had made. Ramza was not aware of what she had planned, it was going to be a surprise, but it was a bit obvious with the new shop being prepared that someone was about to move out once again.

With her hands on her hips, no smile on her face, and a stern look that could almost whip Ramza in the back from the look in her eyes, Duplicity yelled at the top of her lungs.

"WHAT, in the ACTUAL...hell...IS GOING ON!?"

Ramza looked over at her, his face turned beet red as he quickly stood up straight. He had been lost in his fury that he had no idea how loud he became or what was going on around him

"Uh, you see, well, there was this..." Feeling embarrassed he looked towards the floor. "There was this...this fly."

Duplicity glared at him almost dumbfounded. She thought to herself, 'Did he just say a fly!?'.

"A fly...?" She began to move the chairs and walk over to the man who stood before her, he didn't flinch and waited for her backhand to hit him across the face.

"You are telling me, that a fly made you do this?"

Ramza nodded, he couldn't avoid the heat anymore as his palms began to sweat.

"Yes, Ma'am. A fly. You see, it has been screwing with me all day while I was trying to work. This fly is a ninja I swear!"

While the two stared at each other, a fly quietly landed on the table next to them. Ramza quickly took his jacket and slammed it down. The fly fell to the floor, not moving, Ramza had successfully killed it.

"Feel better!?"

Duplicity looked like she was still about to strangle the man, but Ramza nodded happily. Shaking her head she lifted the keys out of her pocket and held them out to Ramza.

"The good news is you won't be making a mess like this again here. You have your own headquarters to fight fly's in now. Yet, first...clean this the hell up. Don't make me regret giving you this chance all over a fly."

Ramza looked at her surprised. He quickly nodded and began to push the tables and chairs back to where they belonged. He couldn't believe that he was just given the nod to run his own outfit. He finally was going to move into his own place in The Loop.

Afer trying to tidy up the new headquarters, Ramza was happy that the battle against the fly was finally over. They fought, he won, and now he could finally concentrate on getting things back into the right shape. After turning slightly red from Duplicity walking in the fly war.

"That fly isn't going to bother anyone anymore, you have my word on that," Ramze responds, taking a small bow to Duplicity and turning a chair back upright.

"You also have my word that I will do whatever I can to serve you here in the Loop. It's an honor to be beside you and Senza, along with the other great people that this city holds. I'm glad to help you build onto that for a great and brighter future for us all."

Ramza pulled a table back into the center of the room, still trying to rearrange everything so that Duplicity wouldn't continue to scold him. He then scooped up the dead fly and threw it in the trashcan. After things seemed to be somewhat back in order, Ramza pulls a couple of glasses out of the cupboards in the kitchen and sets them on the table. He pours a few drinks for those invite and raises his glass to the city head of Chicago.

"Here is to the city of Chicago, and may it be wonderful for us all. A toast to expansion, honor, and loyalty. I'm looking forward to working with all of you. The Order of the Northern Sky will do everything it can for those that call this place home as well."

He raises a glass and takes a drink, passing out the rest of the glasses to the others.

Working through the commotion on the street he looked around as he tried to listen in on the news.  Wandering closer he stubbed out his cigar as he sipped at his flask as he wandered closer.  Tucking the small shiny pewter flask into his pocket he looked onward.

"you have served duplicity well and is good to see your loyalty and hard work rewarded"

looking round he smiled

"i look forward to the further work in Chicago and wish you the best of luck with it"

with a little nod he walked away sipping from his flask as he summoned his driver to turn the car around.

With the great news happening inside Chicago, Rose ventured out to find a gift for the occasion.  After a couple hours of searching, she found the perfect gift for her friend then headed towards the Loop.  The celebrations were still in full swing when she stopped by, so Rose sought out to find Ramza, so she could congratulate him.  After she sifted through the gathered crowd, Rose finally caught up with him.

"Congratulations Don Ramza!"

Rose handed Ramza the gift, and smiled as he unwrapped it revealing a box set of Japanese designer crafted chopsticks.  When he arched his eyebrow, she chuckled softly remembering their conversation about catching flies with chopsticks.

"I know Chicago will prosper with another great leader with your dedication and hard work.  Congratulations again."

Memento_Mori begins slow clapping ironically,

Congratulations Ramza, despite the fact you don't even know your ABC's you managed to get your own crew. We're all very proud of you. I find it completely fitting that your Right Hand, Jaguar, has worse grammar than I do after finishing my 10th drink of the night and your Left Hand can't even count to five. This is bound to be too stupid to not be funny and I wouldn't miss it for the world. I'm happy to join this midnight train to epic failure and can't wait to laugh at you in your final hours.

Memento_Mori then places a paper bag on CatBug who happened to be standing in the crowd.

Death to CatBug!
