Jason walks down the streets of New York and spots a young lad getting bullied in an alley, he stands there looking down the alley as he starts to have a back flash of when he was just 13 years old.

Jason moved to New York to live with his dad when he was 13 because his mum died of cancer. He was a young quite lad, always kept himself to himself so moving to New York was a big change and considering he hasn't seen his dad since he was 3. After living there for 6 weeks, he didn't make any friends so he was always on his own in this alley where he made his own little den. One day he woke up got ready to go out but as he went to walk out the door his dad shouted "Jason come here for a minute please" so he walks in and his dad gives a black trilby hat then says "I have had this since I was a kid so don't lose it".

 From that day he never took that hat off, till one day he was in the alley like normal and this fat lad came to him, he looks at Jason and says "Hey kid this my alley now and I'm taking that hat to" he then punches Jason in the noise and push's him over. The fat kid picks up the hat and walks off, Jason walked home but later than normal, he walked in and went ran up the stairs before his dad saw him but he heard his dad shout "Jason come in here, what you doing coming home this late" he slowly walks in trying to hide his face, his dad looks at him "so what happened to you" Jason explained about the fat kid and what happened. His dad light a cigar and takes a puff "listen here son this is the real world, your not going get anywhere in life if you show your weak and don't work for what you want, if you don't want something like this happened again you going have earn yourself some respect, now get off bed" Jason stood there looking at his dad, his dad noticed Jason's eyes change.

 The next day, Jason was playing down the alley like normal. The fat kid wearing Jason's hat came down to him again " thought I told you this is my alley now" he punches Jason in the stomic, Jason falls to the floor with a tear in his eye but then remember what his dad said, as he lying on the floor he notices a rock so he grabbed it and hit the fat kid in the head. The fat kid fell to the floor with blood coming from his head, Jason picked his hat up and ran home thinking he killed him. He got in and told his dad what he had done, his dad smiles and says "well done son, you did the right thing", the next day Jason went to go out like normal but looked more confident and happier, his dad looks at him and thinks "that's my boy". Jason saw the fat kid again and got ready to get a kicking but the fat kid just put his head down and rushed a past him, Jason smiles and thinks "so this is what fear and respect feels like"  he walks a past the alley that he always goes and carry's on to the park where all the other kids are, they all look at him with fear because they heard about what he had done to the fat kid, then one lad looks at him says "hey you want come play with us".

5 Years later Jason is well respected but his dad was shot and Jason couldn't take it, so he swore that one day he will find the person and kill them. He moved away to Philadelphia because it kept reminding him about his dad's death, here he found a family and started working up the ranks.

 Jason snaps out of the flash back and walks down the alley, the kids run off apart from the boy who was been bullied, he looks at the kid and pass's him a tissue "clean your self up son and stop crying this world has no time for the weak, if you want them stop then do something about it" Jason take his hat off and puts it on the kids head "don't let anybody treat you like that again and keep my hat to remind you of it" Jason walks back down the alley smiling then carry's on with what he came to do.
