MasterMind was sitting in his balcony, smoking his Cigar and smelling the fresh air around, It was one of those Mornings where he had no work and had nothing to do. He remembered some old friends, those who died and those who were still alive. Many have fallen down, many had risen up. Some will be remembered, some will not. What if everyone can sign a pledge and write few words for the generations to come, what if everyone left something to be remembered with.

   An Idea came to his mind while he is having this thoughts so he took a paint brush and asked some of his guards to follow him to a big White Wall opposite his house, He had this wall renovated recently to host parties but he has changed his mind, he will utilize it for a different purpose now.

He took a big paint brush and gave it to one of his associates and asked him to write the following on the Top of the wall:

The Wall of Mafia

Actions not Words Is what we will be Remembered For

I will Let you Do Your Actions,

But If you Want to be Remembered for Some Words too

Take The Brush & Write Few Words for the Generations To Come

Write Something So That Everyone Will Know You were Here & You Were Among Us.

I Personally Support This Project and as an appreciation to You Who Support This & Will Write Few Words.

I will Give 10,000 Dollars To Everyone Who Participates.

MasterMind then asks his associates to Put a desk, Different Paint Colors & Different Brush Sizes and chairs infront of the wall with some refreshments so People can chill out while waiting their turns to write on " The Wall of Mafia "

The best advice I can offer is to put your family ahead of yourself.

The best way to get yourself appreciated, known, and important to the family is by your earnings.
Send up as much money you make to your crew regularly. 
The more you earn, the more important and noticed you will be.

What good is 10,000,000 sitting in your bank? Put that money to work with your boss, and in the long run, it'll get you to places you otherwise may not have gotten.

It's the quickest and best way to get noticed.

MasterMind had just finished his morning coffee when he decided to go check what have been written on the wall of mafia so far, He was surprised that were quite few people who have signed the wall so far, that was really nice, it made him feel happy. He started reading what some people have wrote on the wall, some stuff was clear, and some were quite vague, he did not understand some words that have been written there, there is probably a lot of weird guys there. But anyways, it is a public wall, Everyone will be remembered for what they write.

I don't know about you, but I've always thought of the line as a motto to work hard and work smart to get to the top.
At that point, if you are successful, you might find yourself in a position to instill changes and implement new ideas and "change" the handling of situations to how you see fit as a top dog.


Illusive, ranking up IS a choice you make. It's up to you how hard you work.
How much of your money you kick up to get noticed by your family and rewarded for your hard work.
How much effort you put in to improve your..... ability to take care of problems.

In what way does Rank up and do something about it suggest eventually go rogue?

It can be interpreted as such, very easily so. First off all, the phrase is often used when the regime announces a new policy that some people (usually  those under made) don't like. This would suggest that they have to rank up while the regime is in power, and eventually remove that regime. Which would likely involve going rogue. Just an interpretation though.

Ranking is up to you and your boss, it requires both to be willing.

Agreed that ranking is up to you and your boss. 
But it's more dependent on you to put in the effort. If you don't put in the effort, you shouldn't tower through the ranks.
If you put in the effort, I think most bosses will be pleased to reward the hard work.

As for the rogue comments, you do not need to go rogue to remove a regime. Most of the top regimes are removed through large scale wars that happened when several smaller regimes decided that enough was enough and made their move. 

To me, that's what Rank up and do something about it means. I also feel confident that is what BigEasy was referring to with his comment.

But I do understand that the comment is for the individual themselves to interpret. If the person has it in them to be a rogue, that may be how they see it.
As the majority of Rogues in past were not people or bloodlines that i've been closely associated with, that mindset isn't for me, which is why I was confused at first.

Rose noticed a gathering up ahead, so she stopped to discover what was happening.  She approached the crowd making sure to stay near the outer edges.  When she stood near the wall, Rose heard the conversation going back and forth among a few fellow Mafiosi.  Intrigued about the wall she stood there reading all the comments as the crowd continued speaking.  She walked over to get a brush paint then stood before the wall thinking of what mattered most to her.  

Put your family before your own needs!  If you want to give and show your loyalty, don't do it half-hearted.  Respect!! Don't donate your earnings to get noticed or because you're hoping for a promotion, do it because you are loyal and honor your family.  Asking for a promotion is tacky.  If you have to ask to be noticed for your work then you are working for the wrong reasons.

She finished painting on the wall then returned the brush from where she got it.  As Rose turned back towards the crowd, there were still conversations flowing.  She stepped away from the wall, and continued to listen to the speakers.

Favorito lites ah cig,And as he sees what people talk and paint on the Wall,He starts to remember what his brother said to him when they were arguing at the orpanaghe as he leaved to become ah mafioso himself. "I have finally found what family means brother,I know how it feels to be threated like ah son" And as Favorito remembers the last thing his brother said,He aproaches to the Wall and paints :

"Family is not who you born with,Is who you die for"

Favorito stares at his work and leaves the scene with his cigarette on his mouth.

You don't die for others, you die for yourself, and maybe others, if they' worth the dyin' for.
