Mafia 3 | Started by: Slade-Wilson on Aug 05, '15 17:32 |
Sereno, that would be awesome imo. Imagine a game where you play as a gangster who goes through many historical Mafia stuff, like Castellammarese war and the Apalachin meeting, among others. |

Exactly! Like one of those army games that has historic campaigns and then a multiplayer mode, just mafia focused. |

Man, I am SO excited for this... October can't come quickly enough! The music in this game excites me so much... as soon as we heard that glimpse of "All Along The Watchtower" and "House of the Rising Sun" in those trailers I started getting even more excited! Looks like it will be incredible! Can't wait to finally find out what happened to Vito and Joe after Mafia 2 also, been a mystery for so long! |

I can't wait until Mafia lll. The trailers are on point and not to mention the choice of music. I am definitely excited to play the campaign. Besides the Campaign. Is it open world? Just a little curious. I just love games that have an endless game-play value. I'm not trying to say it should be more like GTA/SR. Similar in some aspects. |

If you were a fan of the first two games you're gonna be disappointed I like that we can finally Free roam for once in the series but the game is pretty much a grind fest you do the same thing over and over again taking over rackets to unlock missions it's kinda of like The Godfather II if you liked that game you'll like this. |

I disagree more open world GTA influence is a good thing for this series that's one of the things that harmed Mafia II IMO they gave us this large detailed City that we can hardly do stuff in. You can't make a crime game without making it open world. Mafia III even if it has a couple problems understands this by finally giving us a real open world game much like GTA is this time around and not linear like the first two games. Now there are some good things GTA does and some bad things GTA does as well. The GTA influence should have been being able to buy safe houses and cars. Right now you only have one safehouse in the game and you hardly if ever use it. Being able to have multiple houses around the map would have made you feel more like a mobster IMO. Also you can't even use a garage to store your cars that kinda sucks at least in GTA you can take any car you want and keep it and customize it in this game you cant. Collectibles and stuff are pretty pointless boring fetch quests that really aren't worth it. I was fine with the Playboy collectibles since they were in Mafia II but the Album covers? The Vargas paintings? etc. I don't really see why they decided to put that in the game just for you to collect more stuff and waste time no point imo. That's one of the things GTA does with pointless collectibles around the map and I don't like it either. |

Claude, no I wasn't saying I didn't want an open world feel, as I agree that that was laking in Mafia 2 as well. I was saying, keep it like Mafia 2 the campaign, keep it feeling like an actual mafia game, not an GTA game in that sense. I don't want it too become GTA, I want them to stay at what they were good at. Like how Saints Row, feels diffrent that GTA completely. |
