The excitement had mounted and hit it's peak. Men and women, all from various crime organizations across the Seven Cities, milled around outside the New Center building in the heart of Detroit, Michigan. For days and nights they had been waiting. Eagerly. Almost feverishly. And at last their patience had been rewarded. The grand, wooden double doors opened magestically and the crowd collectively held it's breath. Marietta, flanked by her ever faithful RIOT! organization, filed out of their headquarters- affectionately nicknamed 'The Castle'. As Rourke, the handiest of all the Rioters, constructed a podium on the steps before the gathered crowd's very eyes, Marietta wasted no time in addressing the gathered Mafiosi.

"Ladies, Gentlemen... thank you for your patience during these past weeks, while my fellow Detroitians and I gathered data, sorted through entries and calculated prizes. It is now the time you have all been waiting for. The results for Detroit is Obscenely Crazy Week are here."

A woman in the front row of the crowd shrieked and fell into a dead faint. Marietta grimaced but tried to chuckle politely as she waved towards a few of her bodyguards to dispose of the out-cold woman. Pulling out a stack of note cards, she approached the gleaming, lovely new podium and smiled out at the crowd.

"Before we begin, I want to give a very appreciative thanks to Godmother Aurora from Las Vegas, for helping me out of a jam with the judging. I truly appreciate your generosity, Godmother, and I vow to repay it at the first opportunity I can find. Thank you to the other judges as well, Rourke, GabrielMancini, MonoxideChild and Fever. Now that that is out of the way, we shall begin! First up we have the results for the A Tale of Two Cities contest!"

For this contest, we here in Detroit realize that a lot of effort goes into such beautiful story telling and weaving and all that great literary fun. So just for that, we'll be awarding a bonus 100k for each person who entered this contest. Spend it wisely, folks!"

"Now, onto the big prizes. Taking THIRD place, and pocketing 750K, is... Alfieri! Well done! Coming in SECOND place, dashing away with 1 million dollars was the city tale as told by... Kizzy! And last, but not least, the story that the judges brought into first place and taking two million dollars for their effort is the one, the only... Kates! Kick ass, seabass!"

"Well done to all of our City Tale entrants!"

Marietta applauds politely with the crowd as Grassboy hands out the briefcases to all the entrants, the heavier ones going to the winners. Clearing her throat, the woman threw the top note card where it fluttered down to the ground delicately.

"Aha, and next on the list are the results for the Ode to a Leader contest!"

"Detroit knows that odes are a pain in the ass to write. Seriously. For that fact and that fact alone, we will be throwing in a bonus prize of two crackdowns per entrant. Well done- making out like bandits here, ladies and gents!"

"Now, there were some honorable mentions that needed to be made. These people wrote beautiful masterpieces, but unfortunately did not include all the required information. Therefore their wonderful entries could not count for the final judging. But thank you to Noah-Levenstein for his 'Ode to Deimne', and Miss Naomi for her ode, 'Oh Kates'. You both did very well!"

"The top TEN winners, all walking away with 500K and 5 crackdowns each are... Silent_But_Deadly, Marc0, Il_Siciliano, Ecstasy, Banzai, Starshine, The_Shrike, Noah_Levenstein, ScipitaRourke and Death-Knight! Congratulations, and well done on kicking ass with those odes! Some of them were just plain lovely!"

Marietta threw the top note card as she smiled towards the winners. Lucky, the lovely Detroit racehorse, stomped and clomped around the crowd, delivering briefcases to the winners by means of a pull cart. The Godmother loved Lucky. He was such a great horse.

"Ahem, right. Sorry, I was lost in the moment! Next on our list... the results for the Headquarter Design Club contest!"

"Since I'm feeling the love, and obviously am still obscenely crazy beyond the one week limit, I will be awarding two crackdowns to every person who entered my HQ design contest. We had some LOVELY entries, and I will probably use all of them at some point in the future."

"Anyway, getting on with it. In THIRD place, winner of 750K is... BlackHandRourke! Very awesome entry! Claiming SECOND place, taking one million dollars with them to the bank is... Kizzy! Well done! And... dun dun dun! In FIRST place- taking one point five million dollars AND having their banner used first on the RIOT! Castle is... Mousekewitz! Outstanding! Everyone please claim your prizes!"

The crowd cheered along politely as Rourke, dressed in a toga, delivered briefcases of money and various crackdown "I.O.U."s to the winners of the HQ design participants and winners. Marietta flipped to the next note card, discarding the top one by shoving it into Rourke's toga as he walked back to join her and the rest of the RIOT!.

"Bored yet? I hope not! We still have the How I Could Just Kill a Man contest results to announce!"

"As with before, we know that everyone worked so hard for this contest. Every participant will walk away with 100K, just for entering. We in Detroit appreciate it- and are just that crazy!"

"Now, for the low down. TIED, in THIRD place, taking the 750K prize is... Paul_Walker, ScipitaRourke and Death-Knight! SECOND place, as well as 1 million dollars, goes to... Naomi! And last, but really in FIRST place... taking two million dollars for the story of how THEY killed a man is... Kates! Very well done to all!"

Tossing the note card into the air, Marietta began studying the next one in preparation as dear old WillieRourke passed out the various stacks of cash. Sans briefcase this time. See that? Stirring things up, keeping it fresh. When the crowd had settled once more, the Godmother continued her massively long results speech.

"Next up, the results for The Scavenger Hunt to End all Scavenger Hunts!"

"I told everyone that the first ten people to find all of the items with the correct information would win one million dollars each, and that the next twenty people would get 100K and five crackdowns each. Unfortunately, only five people participated in this contest. Does this mean anything? Not to you all- but to the people who participated- you will all now be walking away with one million dollars and five crackdowns each!"

"Congratulations to ScipitaRourke, Starshine, Apollonia, nysoz and Naomi for finding all of the correct items- you all rock!"

"For all of those curious minds, the items everyone was looking for were the keys to Rourke's HQ office, Marietta's hand made card for Rourke, Marietta's red sparkly high heel, Marietta's black silky gloves, Edward's handkerchief, Marietta's earrings and Edward's pocket watch. (Other acceptable items were discussed and noted.)"

"Well done to all of those who managed to find all of the items- even with the small snafu of one of the bars getting burned down mid-contest! You're quite the observant bunch!"

Marietta threw the note card over her shoulder where it whipped Gabriel in the face, as MonoxideChild passed out the briefcases of cash to the winners. Viewing the last note card with a smile, she turned back to the crowd once more.

"Last but not least, the results for... It's Hot Hot Hot!"

"It's hot and the objective was to find a creative, fun or funky suit to keep cool. We had quite a few people participate in this contest- and each of those people will be receiving one crackdown each! Thank you for participating!"

"Before we award the top three winners, I want to name three runner ups- and award them each with 100K for their entries! Those runners up are- BlackHandRourke, Naomi and Beowulf! Congratulations, and well done!"

"And now, the winners of the Hot Hot Hot Summer Suit contest, walking away with 500K each, and a sense of pride in knowing that they were too damn hot are... Marc0, Kizzy and ScipitaRourke! WOO! Cha-ching!"

"Thank you all, once again, for a wonderful week. It was full of fun that I'm sure not many of us will forget. Remember to keep your eyes and ears peeled- you never know when Detroit may show some of it's home grown hostility again! Uh, hospitality. I obviously meant hospitality. Oh... I... well... you know what I mean. Keep yourselves ready, because you never know when we'll do this again."

Flustered beyond belief, Marietta waved her hands towards the rest of the RIOT!ers, ushering them back into the Castle. They had much work to catch up on, and many more things to prepare for the upcoming week.

I should only mention that for a week only I will be paying out to next of kins, in light of recent events. Contact me with undisputed proof that you are the next of kin, and I'll pay out. Come and collect!

I am sad I missed it this time, I was out of town on business but congrats to all the winners!! Events like this keep us as a community and one step higher than common thugs on the street.
