A year has passed since the Legendary war between Johnny Ace and his brother Jay the Insane. Cops flocked to the warehouse and found Johnny's henchman as well as the body of Johnny Ace himself. However Sophia and Jay the Insane are nowhere to be found. Only a note was left laying on the table that read:
The Police spent about a week searching and word spread quickly throughout the East Coast that Jay the Insane was on the loose and nowhere to be found. However, after a week of dry leads and no witnesses or tips coming in, Police gave up their search for the Gun-slinging Vigilante and he hasn't been seen since.. Until Now... ------ It's been raining for a few days now. You used to hate it when it rained, but that was before you became a criminal, And before you moved to Las Vegas. You watch a man disappear into a dark alleyway and light a cigarette, then smile to yourself. It's almost as if he wants to get mugged. As you inch closer and closer to the man, you start to get an Eerie feeling in your gut. As if the Devil himself was watching you. But you ignore it, with the money you might get from this guy, you could buy yourself a few bottles at the speakeasy by your apartment. Just as you sneak behind him and take out your switchblade, you hear a loud bang right next to you, right before the man in front of you drops. A pool of his blood floods his head and you look down shocked and fearful. Who could've done this? And why? A figure walks past you and kicks the man over onto his back, revealing that the man had a Gun in his hand. " Looks like he spotted you long before you did him, Kid. I Reckon had I not Intervened he probably would have splattered that pretty brain of yours into bits with that .45 there." The figure spoke. You still staring down at the the body laying before you, not used to seeing a dead man that wasn't in a casket or represented by a tombstone. You turn to see who on earth would rescue a family-less criminal like yourself, but when you do your eyes widen, in shock then fear. The man smiles at you and tips his hat. "Seems like you recognize me, the name is Jay. Jay, the Insane" He offers you his hand and you hesitate. He hasn't been seen anywhere since he allegedly massacred his brother and his brother's crew back in your hometown of Chicago. You eventually do reach out and shake his hand, as you fear otherwise might end up with you looking like the man on the floor. You shake firmly before another loud bang is heard from across the street. Jay turns calmly then motions you to go down the alley. "Looks like his friends are here, I'll handle this. Just meet me at Luciano's Grill in 30 minutes! We can talk there." You open your mouth to speak but are cut off by more gunshots. You sprint full speed down the alleyway and climb over the fence at the end of it then turning and running down the block. After sprinting a few blocks you stop to catch your breath, but as the adrenaline slowly goes away many questions start to flood in it's place. Why is Jay the Insane here? More importantly, what does he want with me? You decide that it'll probably be better if you meet him at the restaurant, Who knows what'll happen if you decide not to show. It takes you about the thirty minutes to walk there, but it appears to be on the wealthier end of town. As you walk in, you can't help but notice everyone in the place sizing you up as though someone told them you had a million dollar bounty on your head. You have the strong urge to leave before you feel a friendly touch on the shoulder. "Glad you could make it kid, don't mind these guys they're all just big softies on the inside." It's none other than Jay the Insane. His coat has a few blood stains on it, but otherwise he seems to have not even been hit once. As soon as you look back at the others, they seem to have all stopped shooting you looks. Jay leads you to the back where he has his own private table set up. You each take your seats as he opens up a fresh bottle of Scotch and begins pouring each of you a glass. "You may be asking yourself why on earth are you here, and probably why I would want you here. The answer is very simple. I've been watching you since you left Chicago. Little did you know, you've been traveling with me the whole way here! And, you're exactly the kind of guy I need to help me get situated around this city." He slides your glass over to you and proceeds to take a sip of his. You've only been in town two days. All you managed to do was get a crappy apartment in the poor part of town and already he's got a private table at an expensive restaurant on the wealthier side of town. Either he's got way more money than you think, or his reputation seems to have traveled across the country with him. Nevertheless, he wants your help. Perhaps working with him will mean you'll be safe in this town... For now. " I take it that awkward looking smile means your on my side. Good. But let's get one thing straight, kid." His calm voice switched to stern so quickly, you nearly spill your drink. "If you cross me, or in anyway betray my trust, I will ensure that you will spend the rest of your crappy life in a box miles under the sea. Are we clear?" You swallow the lump in your throat before nodding slowly. His face almost emitting evil and brutal intent and his eyes as cold as the coldest winter you've ever experienced, almost bringing you into a flashback that makes you shiver before he smiles again. "Good! Hah, cheer up kid, If I wanted to kill you, you'd already be dead." He takes grabs a pen and a small card out of his pocket and writes something down on it. "But you look awfully shaken up, so why don't you head on home, get some rest, then meet me at this here address around noon tomorrow. Got it?" You nod, letting out a small sigh of relief. Been here two days and you've already could've been killed twice. What next? You take the card from him, then slide it into your back pocket, underneath your wallet, to keep it from getting wet. You then get up, shake his hand then walk out. As you pass by the men sitting in the front room of the restaurant you almost feel empowered at their looks. It's almost as if you were a celebrity, or at least that celebrities pet. You shake these thoughts out of your head as you walk home. Once inside your little apartment you take out the card and finally get to examine it. Part of you is really excited at the thought of working with Jay, but the rest of you is telling you to go back home. You'll be safe there with your family, especially since he's a wanted man back in Chicago. You start reading the card and The one side gives you the address of a florist which makes you raise an eyebrow, but then you flip it over and your heart begins to race again as you read what's written on the back.
