Anyone know how to play disk game that require steam, without steam. Its takeing forever to download and everytime I get close Steam crashes. 

I REALLY like this game but can't play it.

Any info will be greatly appreciated.

If its a problem downloading, it'll be the same prob everywhere I'd say. Steam is actually faster in my opinion.

My internet provider is Cricket Crosswave, I had accidentally uninstalled steam when I was trying to redownload skype. I'm trying to re install steam as we speak. The game is Empire total war :Gold edition with the Napoleon patch and all the mods. When I tried to reinstall steam it asks me to choose a folder but no matter how many folders I choose it says folder path contains unknown files and won't download.

I finished removing Steam, but when I try to reinstall it from the disk, It won't work, I'll try to see if the direct download from the site will work.
