The Gatsby Gazette!
It is with great honor that we release the first edition of The Gatsby Gazette. Partly inspired by the late the great Gwarble, but mostly inspired by Nancy Grace, this paper is meant to drive you into the forefront of Los Angeles so you can see the behind the scenes meet the big players. Get up close and personal with interviews and of course look classy as hell while doing it old sport. We ask that as you carefully digest all the material you leave your comments or message the editor as to what would make this more enticing for you. We are currently looking to hire members for staff so if you are interested in working and see yourself contributing to The Gatsby Gazette, please mail the editor with a $1 application fee attached. What city would you join if not LA: To be honest none, if it wasn't for this project my father would still be sitting IA in his New York penthouse contemplating ending it.
What is the key to success in LA: Not letting the paranoia get to you. It's all about talking to the other leaders and working with them, instead of convincing yourself that you need to shoot so and so because they might kill you.
What does your name mean: It means I shit gold ;)
In a sentence what does loyalty mean: Everything. It's the difference between a clique lasting 2 years, or 2 months.
Why should people root for you to do well: There is no reason for them to, just yet. If I'm still alive in the coming months then they can look to my accolades and decide for themselves if I'm worth rooting for or not.

Why should people root for you to do well: Because the LA dream doesnt have to be a King of the hill Kind of deal. It can be people coming here, setting up a Small Family and make a difference. That's what Im defending here. I dont need to be CL, RHM or LHM, I just want to honor the amazing opportunity Duplicity gave us, and help this City flourish. If I fail, at least I tried, you know?

Desire for the city: To one day change the name of it from Los Angeles to Doo Doo Land
Favorite aspect of this life: If by 'this life' you mean life here in LA, I was mostly drawn to the opportunity to do something that totally deviated from the norm. We have a chance to operate as individuals, not bound to any formal crew or structure, free to make it what we want within the guidelines set forth by Don Duplicity. Even the restrictions that are put in place over us offer a dynamic that makes this city exciting. Speaking for myself, this entire way of operating is uncharted waters for me or any of my ancestors. There have been growing pains and learning experiences for all of us. People are often critical of these unconventional 'experiment cities' or whatever you want to call them, and I get that, but for me it just seemed like a unique chance to do something different and potentially fun. So far it was been just that here in our little fishbowl we call LA (or Doo Doo Land)
What city would you join if not LA: I would either join CHI under Visas or Duplicity, or NY under Brooklynn.
What is the key to success in LA: Not getting killed by some of the dregs these experiment cities tend to attract.
What does your name mean?: DooDooBrown is derived from an ancient dialect that translated into modern English means "Brave Gentle Warrior with Giant Heart"
In a sentence what does loyalty mean?: If you were to ask me that under different circumstances, I'd be able to answer that a little easier, but here in LA (Doo Doo Land), it's more of a grey area, as we are still kind of guarded with one another, feeling each other out, getting a sense of what each other's visions for the future of Doo Doo Land are.
Why should people root for you to do well?: A much easier question would be why in the world wouldn't people want to root for ol' DooDooBrown? I could go on and on and on all the numerous reasons why people should cheer for DooDooBrown, but we'd be here for hours. In a nutshell I'd say the main reason people should root for DooDooBrown is because I'm a hero. This world needs heroes!
One on One with The Shit: DooDooBrown
Doo Doo Why the war? Since it's after the fact, I have no problem sharing this information. I woke up today fully expecting to remove Tywin_Lannister, who for the record I thought was a good guy. Tywin came to LA with several friends and was sitting on piles of cash. These were advantages I didn't have, and in time he would have been able to place himself in a position where I would have had to answer to him in some sort of capacity. I did not come to this city to answer to any of the occupants. The original plan was to kill Thomas first, as I didn't view Tywin's gun as a threat. Anyway as fate would have it, Tywin was dead when I woke up, so that was that. Mind you, none of this was personal. Just business.
If this is just business cant this be worked out? I thought I was working it out!!!
What will life be like without the preacher, Thomas? For me it will be exactly the same as its been since I got here. I never spoke with Thomas once. It should be noted though, that as we speak Thomas is very much alive, so who knows. Maybe this is actually the end of the road for ol DooDooBrown, in which case, well-played Thomas.
Is this the end of all the blood shed? No

What has it been like for you to move to start your own path in LA? - Eye opening, met a a couple of good people, SHOUT OUT AFGHAN AND DOODOO!!
What is one thing from your ancestors journals that you have taken with you to LA? - Building a gun.
If it were to all end today, is it worth it? - No, but if I can do it again I will.
What is the most difficult aspect of being in LA? - The heat.
The city of angels looks more and more like the city of sin, what can you say about all the recent murders? - Gotta crack some eggs to make an omelette.
Plutos Death, what happened? He started shooting, so we shot back. He thought we were wolves, so we turned into them.
TywinLannisters death, what do you think about his unforseen demise? - Horrible, he was a good dude, with him gone we don't know what Thomas will do.
What are your hopes and dreams for the future of LA? - For it to achieve the same goals it did when much older GodFathers reigned.
It seems like you are one of the bigger stars of LA currently would you agree? - No the three of us are equal, each having a piece to the puzzle the other one needs.
How has working with Afghan and DooDoo been? - Great, they are really good guys, I wouldn't want to help run a city with anyone else.
What would you say to anyone wanting to join LA? - Just be cool man, we won't shoot you right off the boat, unless you're Skorp XD

Tywin has Ty lost
One of the most compelling things of this life we live is how fast everything changes. One minute you are talking to your friends and the very next it is like blood spills through your mailbox. Often we are very surprised by such events. Nothing however could have been more shocking then to see the Late @TywinLannister pass before our eyes. There is an infamous street in our nation where those can gather for their Outside of Mob life fix. Well, often times people who attend those mean streets do not come back. Such was the case with Tywin. Mr. Lannister was making his rounds when he came into a great debate with some of New Yorks finest. He openly disagreed with them calling out Duplicity stating that "Often times we had to play police seeming as no one else will." This did not bode well with the giver of all sexy things. Tywin was not done there however as he continued his retort against Eredin about keeping one of his members in his "play pen" After publicly criticizing his intelligence. Unfortunately no remark like that would go unnoticed and soon after Duplicity saw that she was quick to pay a visit to the house of Lannister and burn it to the ground limiting the chances of anyone else rising to the top of the city.
Is Well Protected too much?
JohnDavidson, son of one of the former Los Angeles associates, spoke out asking whether or not Well Protected was too many bodyguards. The idea that it is not only intimidating to start a life out in the wild west it is down right stupid with the level of protection and the guns that these mini-leaders now have. It has been questioned that these individuals will remain on top of the food chain for a long time unless they screw something up like calling someone a "retard" in a public place. Your average gangster stands little to no chance at topping the giant earners and wise guys of todays Los Angeles Syndicate. Regardless, the rules have been set forth and it is now up to sheer cunning to take your place along the heights of the City of Angels most historical mobsters.
No one actually cares!
So once more as we speak about the OOC alley where most the Los Angeles discussion takes place we find so many mobsters are finding their way in their to discuss how they feel about Los Angeles. Why do they put their two cents in? No one is sure. In fact it seems like more of a headache to try and figure out what the point of them being heard is. If you disagree with the whole LA process why do you need to state that. As far as many are concerned, no one cares about your opinion. Now this might be some harsh truth for some of you to hear but it is the truth after all. If we just take a moment to look at your pride do you honestly think we would say hey, thats right, lets listen to what that person and not do this whole LA thing. Unless you actually started the LA project or are in LA or report about it, truthfully no one cares to what you have to say. So stop bickering about every detail and move on with your lives.
People who died.
This week, we have six members of the LA Associates who ended up on the Obits tribute. The obits tribute picks the top six recent people who died and takes a look at what they accomplished, if anything. So far, no one has done anything. Not a single one.
Pluto - It wouldnt take long after he started taking pot shots at LA associates before people fired back at him. Appearntly, from the Late Plutos own mouth, he took three shots before the LA associates responded with their own bullets. Thus ending the short life of the smallest mobster in the LA Galaxy.

SethGecko- Thomas was tired of your decision to follow dab city and pew pewd you away. Unfortunately you changed nothing with LA.
Black- Gunned down in a storm of violence after competing in the first LA Associate blood bath.
RooseBolton- Rumors state that Roose was planning on taking control of the city for himself and others felt threatened. Others believe that Roose took the first few shots.
Micheletto- Gunned down at the blink of an eye. Entered quick into the fray only to lasted till the sixth day.
Memorable Mention
@ThomasSpurgeon- Probably one of the friendliest mobsters to grace the city of LA. Thomas did have an absolute desire for world peace. However this is not what you get when playing with people who smoke drugs and refer to themselves as shit. Still rooting for you Thomas.
People we wish had died who actually died
TywinLannister You cant just going around saying disrespectful things about those less fortunate than others just because you view yourself smarter. It doesn't work that way. Life does not work that way. However you were really nice to me so RIP.
Khaleesi Why did you even voice your opinions? So negative. I am pretty sure you lowered everyones joy of this life by like a million points.
An obscure look at the future
With little reservation held of what is true and what is not i have been receiving anonymous bank notes stating the true intentions of @AfghanMango. Apparently, Afghan plans not only to succeed in Los Angeles but to develop his very own dab city. It goes without stating that he and DooDooBrown are the leading contenders of this city and do not look like forfeiting to anyone anytime soon. When we look through my crystal ball i can see Afghan in his rocking chair smoking his weed and smiling at all the feces he will be swimming in the very near future. With these two gentleman at the pinnacle of their career their is no where to go but...up. The third and perhaps most dangerous contender for the Throne of the City of Angels is in fact @Sprengler who by whatever means looks to create friendships or murder business partners to become the next big thing. Neither however look possible for him.

Gallery Ardeigh- Although a secret racket you would never assume that with two women running the show! They are just here to sell big paintings and stuff. Because thats why we are all here after all...To look at Van Gogh.
Giovannis Bookkeeping- This is probably the fiftieth bookkeeping place in the city. But please dont let that stop you! Just come to Giovannis because its new and exciting. Has lots of stuff for you that none of the other bookies have...like Giovanni!
Personally i was rooting for this guy to take the whole city. When i found out that DooDoo had declared war on him i was very fearful of his life. Although Thomas is still currently alive he and i both do not forsee him coming out on top. He was definitely a hard worker and deserves as much respect for the time and effort he put into this great city. Fortunately for him this was just a business move and realy did not lose any friends over this. We sat him down to ask him some of the tough sobering questions of his last moments here to see where his mind was at. As ever, in the middle of a war, he was calm and composed. A natural born leader.
What is it like knowing they declared war on you? It feels like betrayal. We had been working together until then. I always knew it could come to this, but I guess I thought it was a smart move to be united and actually use this chance to do something different. After the initial feeling of betrayal, you kinda move on, and you just go out with a bang...
Do you believe you will live through this war? Probably not. It's 4 (now 3) against 1. They are well protected and have the best guns in town...
Why not retire and live in peace knowing they didnt kill you? What? No way man. I worked hard to get here. While I have a drop of blood in me I'll shoot it out. I only stop at the casket.
In a few short hours you will be gone from this world. What does that mean to you? Gee Thanks. haha It doesn't mean much. I chose this lifestyle and I knew it would come to this sooner or later. (I Preferred later... hehe)
Where do you see your son ending up? I don't know. I was leaning towards one city and now I'm rethinking it.
What happens to the future of LA without you?
I'm not important. L.A. will be different not because of me passing away, but because after me, the owners of L.A. revealed themselves. No more playing games, no more playing people. It's in the clear: they own the place and no newcomer can come set up. That's sad for L.A., not because of me, but because of that.
I keep saying how good it could've been, but I say again: I knew it would probably come at this, so, all in all this was a very fun run. And it ain't over until the fat lady sings.
