Game Change: New Tips Guy - The Warden Started by: Anubis on Aug 26, '09 19:05

The warden listens to the snitchs in the jails. He knows who killed who, and he's willing to let you in on the secret....for a price.

For a low cost of $50,000 per witness statment, you can know what he knows.

But get there first! It's first come first serve here!

How does he get this knowledge? Jailed players can become snitchs if they want to get out of jail early!

5 minutes earlier, or if you're under 5 already you're free to go.

Any questions?

I dont really get it at all.:/

basically how it works is this:

If you have a witness statment in your personals that is less then a week old, and get thrown in jail, you can bribe the warden with this to lower your sentence.

Now, these go into a pool, which is then purchasable by going to the tips page, and using the Warden tip for 50k.

This adds a witness statment into your personals.

Report Post Tip

Do you get a choice for the WS or do you get a random one?

Report Post Tip

I'm not sure how I feel about this. Its nice to add something new but it seems kind of confusing and sounds like it might not be that useful seeing that pretty much as soon as your in jail somebody usually bails you out within the first few minutes.

Report Post Tip

Chich: You get the oldest witness statment that's available, to keep things moving.

ricob514: What about those times when you're at war and don't want to sit in jail waiting for someone to bust you out and shoot you?

Where I come from rats are fed poison. Keep your mouth shut and do your time.

Report Post Tip

Well with guaranteed secrecy, who knows.

Report Post Tip

Where I come from snitches are snitches. Nice addition. I support any addition that helps root out the weak and kill them off.

Report Post Tip

I can't see anyone willingly giving up any infomation that's worth knowing, and it'll be a waste of 50k for some piss poor statement that tells you who shot an IA. Fair enough if you've got the money to keep buying them and compile a list, but even then I doubt it's worth the cash. I think it would be a much better addition to be able to see who witnesses you making a kill. Thats where paying money will come into it.

Report Post Tip

Yea I know what your saying but I still don't think many people will do it. I mean think of it this way too. Your family is at war and your in jail. Do you want to give up a valuable witness statement during time of war just to get out of jail or would you rather sacrifice yourself for your family?

Report Post Tip

I'm one of those crazy people who might find it useful. You never know- don't make generalized statements like "I still don't think many people will do it". Let it play out for awhile. It's a new feature. Give it a week or two, then we can re-assess what everyone thinks of it. Don't stab an idea in the face before it's had time to grow, kids. :/

(And yes, you all just made me use an effing smiley face. FML.)

Report Post Tip

I'm not saying it won't work at all I'm just saying to me it doesn't make much sense but that's only my opinion so it may turn out to work well but I know for me it will not be useful.

Report Post Tip

If that's a smile, Marietta, I'd hate to see your frown. :/

It is interesting; but it seems to me people will likely just collect WS on inacs and that's what they'll sell.  Besides, just because they have it in their personals doesn't mean they haven't already passed it on to someone else.  Before anyone goes running off selling statements they might want to check with their superiors though (despite guaranteed anonymity - and let's face it there really are no guarantees in this business...).  I would think that most would prefer that information remain within the family.  Then again, I suppose if your family can't provide sufficient support to keep you out of jail - maybe you chose your family poorly?  Then again, maybe it's just that they chose poorly in choosing you!

Bottom line though - all chances for increased interaction add new dimensions to our activities here and can only make things more interesting.  How much more interesting is really up to us and how we choose to take advantage of the opportunities presented to us.  Whether it flies or flops I still think we owe the gods our thanks for their continued efforts to improve life here for us!

;)

"So and so was seen selling information"

That could be interesting.

Report Post Tip

If you have MORE than one WS in your personals less than a week old do you get to choose which one to bribe the warden with or does it work like buying the info in that it just takes the oldest one and you have no choice on which to bribe with...

Report Post Tip

the attribute is good, but $50,00! all i got was a IA none sponser... i felt rippt... maybe W/S of sponserd memebrs who got killed shouls be in the information of the warden, that way my $50k was spent for a cause, not just some joeshmoe IA...

Report Post Tip

Nice Idea!

Report Post Tip

I'm confused by some of the stuff I'm reading.

SammyGato: You start by talking about giving out info worth knowing but then you say it isn't worth the 50k. So I guess that some people will see it as worth it as some won't.

Pele_: I'd think that is exactly the kind of info everybody will sell (if you have the choice of which WS to use to bribe the warden). And knowing who killed an IA tells you who is trying to build a gun. What more than that do you want to know in times of war?

As a matter of fact, saying this just made me realize... Some people may WANT to have an anonymous excuse to get it out to as many people as possible who are the hitters of other cities.
