Windy city double hit Started by: KL on Aug 26, '15 02:20

The rain had been falling for hours and was just an all out wet shit kind of day. While the civilians of Chicago were bored out of their mind the gangsters were in for some entertainment. All over the radio and in the papers, the headline was everywhere.

I figured id pick up the paper and see what the cops were saying about me.

Headline read "Two bodies found floating in the water of Franklin Ave yesterday morning."

I continued to read...

Police have identified two men, Harold Washington 31 years of age and Jim Washington 34 years of age. Detective Harris of the Chicago PD has stated that this was a professional hit as one body had 2 bullets one in the neck and one in the left side of the forehead. The other who was identified as Harold had it a bit worse, trauma to the knees show that both were severely broken and a mark in the side of the neck which looks to be from an ice pick.

Both bodies were then thrown into the water, who ever did this was no stranger to it as this was a professional hit Harris implied. He also stated that there are no witnesses and no way to tell who did this as of right now.

After reading I set the paper down and head to the nearest coffee shop to get some breakfast. I knew there would be some explaining for me to do as I left an envelope on Anton's desk. Inside was the other half of the money Harold owed along with a note that read "Here's the other half he owed. Shit went down and I'm sure you will read about it and ill explain later. Ps sorry for the blood on this note. Signed KL."

As KL was having his breakfast, suddenly a waitress walks over and tap on KL's shoulder.

Sir, you have a call from a certain Mr Poliski.

KL nods and walk to the phone.

KL, this is Poliski. Anton needs you to come back to the firm as soon as possible. Let me put it in his term, Come back now.

While tipping the waitress I think to myself this outa be good. I knew I had to explain things so Anton would understand... or at least I hoped.

None the less I waste no time and head for the car and drive straight for Anton's office.

Once I arrive I sit back in my car for a bit...loosen my tie and take a breath not knowing what kind of reaction to prepare for. After gathering myself I walk through the front and knock on the office door as I wait for Anton to respond.

As Anton hears a knock, he knew who it is. The person he has been waiting for, the person who he is wondering if he has turn rogue, a loose cannon or he has a good reason for doing what he has done. Anton motioned one of his bodyguards to bring KL in.

KL, I am sorry before you get to go in I have to check if you have any weapons on you. As the bodyguard motion KL to turn around so he can do a body-search.

Alright, you are clean go in Mr Giovanni is waiting for you.

The moment KL enters as he closes the door behind him.

Boss, I-

Suddenly another bodyguard stood up behind him and knock him out cold.

Bring the car to the back-alley, we are going to the warehouse.

Giovanni's Warehouse, Chicago (Half and hour later)

Wake him up.

One of the man proceed to splash KL with a bucket of water. As KL gasp for breath after the iced cold water hit him.

KL, you put me in a very difficult position. This is not how we do business, if our clients have paid up their dues. We let them go. WE DO NOT PUT A BULLET INTO THEIR HEADS. one chance KL I give you one chance for an explanation before I let this men do what they do best. Anton points towards the few man surrounding him and KL.

After catching my breath I look straight into Anton's eyes "You have to believe me when I say this was not an act of betrayal nor did I want to put you in a difficult situation.

I gasp for air once more as the combo between the blow to the head and the water really took its toll.

"After the whole collection things were fine... or at least I thought so, but a day later I got jumped from behind and beaten by 3 men one of which was Harold the other was... well after reading the paper related to Harold, the third well that's my problem because I can't find him right now. Guy looks like a house with legs. I dealt with the two because I did not want any loose ends getting back to you.

Only regret now is I got a fucking giant loose in Chicago and I have to make sure he don't talk to the feds.

Leaning my head back in exhaustion I make one final reply.

"This was not betrayal, you can trust me, I got the other half he owed right?. Could have kept it if I thought no one would find out about the hit!. Think about it A". If I didn't take care of those two they would have talked!."

Anton takes a deep breath. He knew KL has a reason in doing the hit, KL is one of the few younger ones who is not hot blooded always consider his action and he understood the consequences. He takes another deep breath and exclaim.

Alright, KL. I know you have a reason. I will not deny it, but still this is not an authorized hit. There are consequences to one's action in our society. As your employer, I have spoke to your sponsor, Clover though it pains us but let this beating be a remembrance to you.

Anton walks out of the room, as he lit a cigarette up as he hears distant muffled voice of KL as he struggles to take the beating like a man. He proceed to go up to the office and make a phone call to Clover and explain the situation about the loose giant.

When Anton re-enters the room, he sees KL sprawling on the floor struggles to get up. He motions two of his man to pick him up and sits him on the chair.

KL, I hope you understand what we did was necessary and you hold no more grudges to me and to the family. I have spoke to Clover and she has instructed me to deal with the giant situation. I know you are not at your best right now, but I want you to take care of it. You know the drill.

Anton ask two of his men to bring KL back to his house.
