You wake up in your bed, comfortable. It's been a whole week since you became an acquaintance of Jay the Insane. The two of you and his niece share a nice Penthouse in one of the richer districts, not too far off from the Strip. It's crazy that in a weeks time the two of you, and a few of Jay's friends, were able to take out a whole operation and steal their property. You walk over to the closet, filled to the brim with brand new tailored suits and the finest of Designer shoes. Nodding with approval, you step out onto the balcony and stare out at your view of the city. Just then, you notice one of Jay's hired muscle dragging a large black bag towards a truck and you close your eyes. Only yesterday this entire complex was a battleground for control. The final battle between Jay the Insane and The bloodhound Gang. --- One week earlier --- You wake up a few minutes late, tossing and turning in your bed you eventually fall back asleep. You probably shouldn't have spent the majority of the night drinking and thinking about how it would feel to run your own family. You continue the process of waking and changing positions until you notice the clock. 11:30 AM. You now have only thirty minutes to make it to the florist! You leap out of bed, and run to the bathroom. You brush your teeth in the shower, trying to do everything and anything you can to save time. By the time your dressed and out the door it's already 11:45. You hail a cab quickly and tells him where you are off to. He seems to know who you are somehow, but you aren't quite sure yet. As you reach the shop you step out and go for your wallet, but the driver speeds off. You are baffled for a moment, but realize you are probably late and run inside instead. Once inside you notice the vibrant decorations in the shop. It seems like someone spent a lot of time preparing it and maintaining them, making sure the flowers are replaced when they start to die. As you are admiring the decorations a young lady walks up to you. "You must be the nice man that Jay was talking about. He is probably upstairs working on another one of his plans. I'm Sophia, his niece. Nice to meet you" She smiles and offers her hand which you shake. She seems like a completely sane girl which you wouldn't expect after all that she's been through. "Follow me" She leads you to the back where there is a staircase leading up to an apartment. Once you reach the top you see Jay sitting on the leaned over a coffee table. It is clear that he either hasn't slept or got up extremely early and has done a lot already this morning. There is a map in front of him as well as his revolver and a few bullets laying around. " Uncle Jay, your friend is here to see you" He looks up and smiles at her. " Thank you sweetheart, come on in kid. Have a seat." She smiles back at him then continues back down stairs. You walk over and sit next to him. The map appears to be of the City and he has colored in much of it various colors, most likely representing different gang and family territories. " The guy you were about to mug last night and his friends were all members of the Bloodhound gang, so we have a problem on our hands. I know you are from the East coast, like me, so you probably haven't heard of them. But I have friends everywhere and I was given the rundown on these punks." He taps a medium section colored burgundy. "The Gordon brothers run the show out of a couple speakeasies in this part of town. They got their start in Texas, making really good moonshine and selling it cheaper than their competition. David Gordon, the oldest, created the recipe. Danny Gordon was the businessman, he went out and made connections and knew who to sell the stuff to. Mikey was the youngest, but is also the toughest out of the three, and was the prime muscle for their operation. Once the FBI caught wind of what was going on, they fled west to Las vegas. Here, they opened up a few Speakeasies and used the money from their Texas days to pay off any police that comes sniffing around. It's a pretty good operation for them" He taps on a green section and shakes his head a little. "However, my good friend and her family run a similar operation just a few blocks away. So the Bloodhound gang have been giving them problems when it comes to shipments, and it's not too far off from becoming a full on war." He reaches for his pistol and begins loading the stray bullets into it. " The Bloodhound gang want my head for killing their friends, and they'll probably want yours too. So, you and I are going to start messing things up for them and cut off the head of this giant snake before it can even get an opportunity to strike" You stare in disbelief. You two alone are going to take on a whole gang by yourselves? That seems a bit much, until you remember back in New Jersey and New York. When Jay would destroy petty gangs like this on his own. "If we are going to take them out, we're going to need to kill the Gordon brothers. This won't be easy as they are usually well protected. We're going to need to get some better weapons, so we're going to be going after the youngest brother first: Mikey." Jay gets up and walks to the closet looking for his coat. He then eventually pulls out a black leather jacket. The two of you walk downstairs and Sophia waves. Jay smiles at her and waves back. "We're going out for awhile Sophie, take care of the shop." "I will uncle Jay!" The two of you leave the shop and walk down the road. "I've got ears and eyes everywhere in this city and I've been informed that Mikey and some of his guys are about to go pick up a shipment of weapons and ammunition. So we are going to go crash it. Hopefully, we can take out Mikey as well." Jay gets into his car, you hopping into the passenger seat, and starts driving down the road. He makes his way out of the City and stops the car seemingly in the middle of nowhere. He gets out of the car and opens the trunk. "We go on foot from here. We don't want them knowing we're coming." He hands you a Tommy gun, and grabs himself an M1 Grand. He then grabs a few magazines for both weapons and closes the trunk. He leads you a good 300 yards ontop of a small hill where you can see a gathering around a small shack and a truck. Jay takes out a pair of Binoculars and stares at the gathering " Welp, the weapons are in the trucks, and it seems like they are loading them out and into the shack. Looks like it wasn't a 'deal' as much as it was a delivery, all of those guys seem to be apart of the Bloodhound Gang. I don't see Mikey anywhere, which is odd because he's the type to micromanage everything. He may not be here, but we can't afford to pass up this opportunity. We don't have a lot of time..." He looks down at the magazines "Or ammunition, so you need to make every shot count You see all those cars down there? You look and nod "We are going to sneak through there and try and unload on them by surprise. They have more bodies, but none of those rifles are loaded, so they'll be relying on handguns and I'm almost positive those guys aren't accurate enough to hit us from the distance between them and the cars. Just make sure you stay behind cover, understood?" You nod your head slowly. You look down at the group of people and gulp. There has to be at least twenty people down there! How on earth will just the two of you take all of them on? Sure, they all are armed with just pistols, but what if they rush you? Before you can continue getting lost in thought, Jay begins to creep around and you instinctively follow him. You two slowly make your way around until you've reached the cars. Luckily, the two of you were not spotted as you crept up. You slowly creep through the maze of cars leading to the gathering of Bloodhound gang members, when suddenly, you stumble into one of the cars, making the car alarm go off. Jay immediately brings you down and rolls you under the car. You can only see feet, but when the man makes his way to his car, you just see him drop and then Jay stab him repeatedly. Jay uses the man's key to cut off the alarm and then waves you over. "Watch what the hell you are doing man, you could've gotten us killed." You feel embarrassed, but you don't have time for it. Jay is already moving through the cars again, until you reach the end of the parked cars and onto the Members standing and unloading the cargo from the truck. Suddenly he drops down to the ground and aims his rifle at the crowd, you doing the same. You know you're about to open fire, when you feel the cold steel of a pistol against the back of your head and a voice call from behind. "Well isn't this a pretty little gift. Jay the Insane and his lackey." You turn and see a short, but very well built man standing behind two guards holding you both at gun point. Jay starts smiling at first, and then begins to laugh. The man behind his guards seem to get frustrated. "And what would be so funny, Mr. Jay the Insane?" Jay lets his laugh die out a bit before muttering. "This..." He flips over knocking the pistol out of his assailants hand, while simultaneously drawing his revolver and shooting your assailant in the head, killing him instantly. "Open Fire Kid!" You pause for a moment, almost certain you were about to die, before you then open fire on the men working on the truck. Jay quickly disposes of his own assailant, before chasing down the man. You don't have time to worry about Jay anymore, you're on your own. You seem to be picking off the workers at a good rate, and their handguns aren't accurate enough to hit you from this range. Some of the men start firing at you with rifles causing you to get behind the car as cover. You look up and about five guys are left firing at you. You go to shoot at them, but your gun clicks. Out of ammo. You go to reach for Jay's rifle but a bullet whizzes by your ear and you drop back. You feel like you're screwed when you hear gunshots coming from the west. You look over and Jay is covered in blood firing with both his revolver and a handgun, taking out the last of the guards. He tosses the handgun on the ground, and extends his hand to you. " You alright kid?" You take his hand and he helps you up. You dust yourself off looking at the massacre of bodies laying all around. " Before you get all worked up, I helped you take a lot of those guys out. You did well for your first hunt. That gross short hairy guy you saw was Mikey, but he got away from me.. So I doubled back and started picking them off with the pistol I grabbed off of his henchmen. It wasn't easy, and I had to really take my time and aim, that's why you probably didn't even notice my shots, but now isn't the time for stories. We need to get that cargo. Here, give me a hand." Jay goes back to the guy he killed when we first arrived and takes his car, driving up to the shack. He pops the trunk and the back seat, loading various weapons and ammunition inside. Once the two of you have all of the weapons loaded, you jump in the car while Jay grabs a gallon of gasoline from the shack and pours it all over the shack, truck and any guns you guys couldn't fit. He then leads a trail to the vehicle and lights a match, dropping it on the trail. He then gets in the car and drives off. It didn't take long for everything to catch on fire. Jay drives back to his car and hands you his keys. " I want you to drive this back to the shop, and then head home. You're done for the day. Good work, I knew I was right not to kill you." You nod to him and take his keys. You look back in the direction of the shack and see the ammunition finally explode. After you get out, Jay takes off and after a few moments, you do too. You still aren't quite sure how you two managed to pull it off, but you guys were able to take out these guys fairly easily. If you had any doubts that things weren't going to work out with Jay, they immediately vanished from your mind. This war, after one very small time battle, already was seeming winnable. You are almost eager to come back tomorrow and see what the next mission will be. ----End of Part 1--- |
