I tend to agree.

Of course, there is always room for a well constructed, well thought out, entertaining story. Infact, I quite enjoy that once in a while. However, the majority of the many "stories" we hear on the streets don't even meet one of these qualities, far less three. To be blunt, some of them are woeful on all fronts. Regardless though, even the crap ends up with at least a few "Thanks, good story" type comments, which I always find bizarre (OOC: yes, post count). Through this misplaced encouragement, before we know it, "Part Two" is upon us.

I suppose a contributing factor to any lack of discussion will be that much of it has gone before and we've seen/heard it all before. Still, that's not stopped people in years gone by.

As Googlez and Tallien say, perhaps we're at an impasse of sorts where people don't feel free even to respectfully speak their mind or engage in debate for fear of either punishment or having their "cards marked" and future routes to power blocked. In my opinion though, if that is the case, the masses are as much to blame as any leadership. Infact, it's pathetic.

And yet, if people of an unsuitable rank had the blessing to speak out about whatever they felt like, you guys would complain that rank has no meaning and you yearn for the days where people had respect for the higher-ups.  For the record, complaining is just fun, and that seems to fill the void for some better than just about anything else.

What we yearn for is the day where new  up-and-comers earned their rank by their intellect in the streets. With their wit, their ability to argue points, express themselves, and show superiority.

All right Googlez, argue your points all you want... In L.A.  Your family has 2 hours to get out of New York.  After that... Well... Wouldn't want to be them.

I would like to extend my apologies to God Father ThomasRourke. I can see how one may take my response insulting, and that was due to poor wording on my behalf. I meant, in no way, to detriment the ranks achieved by yourself, and many others at this point in time.

I agree with Godfather Rourke here, but also with Googlez. I know I'm just a lowly gangster, but I also know that I've got a lot to offer this world of ours, and my family. Now, I also understand that I've got to earn that, but I think that part of my earning that is directly linked to my abilities in speeches. Not saying it should be mandatory, because Godfather Rourke is right, some people should just keep to themselves, but if you've got the wit, you should use it, and damn the consequences.

I mean, I wouldn't come out to the streets and verbally spit in your faces, Godfather Rourke, Googlez, but as seen earlier, I do make jibs when I think one can understand the joking.

I agree 100% with bateman, storytellers have overrun the streets, 80-90 percent of every topic is some story, and whats worse (correct me if I'm wrong) is that its seems half out the story's are made by people just wanting to gain the bonus of posting a street comment
