Member recruitment has been quite a hot topic the last few days, I remember like the day of yesterday I started my own family..
It wasn't easy to find suitable members but now looking back at the "rough" start it was all worth it.

I have to say I am extremely proud of my members, their motivation and their respect for our world.

The whole "Member Whore" issue has never been one that bothered me much, except for a few odd moments when I or my RHM was in a great conversation with a promising thug and then joined another family...
To be frank, fine by me! The promising member wasn't what he seemed and we were saved from a member who would probably be worthless anyway.
More than once have I seen these people fail within the crew they joined and don't get me wrong, I am not saying that was the Crew Leaders fault... Some people are just "broken".

Philadelphia isn't interested in people who come for the easy ride, spend their days doing only petty crimes and don't long for something bigger.
Philadelphia is on the other hand not expecting a 3 page essay on why we should take you in... As long as things go in a sensible way, I'm all good with it.
If you write the perfect 1 line, hell I might send you an invite myself... But don't think it's a line like 'Can I join your crew?'

Godfather ThomasRourke remembered us all about the importance of sponsorship and associates, the way it's now implemented in New York I applaud.
We will work towards every Made Man and above having an associate from now on, not only is it less odd it's also a good learning experience for the sponsor.

Crew IA's, disrespectfull people, lazy bums... won't pay in the end, I am sure of this.

So kindly note, Philadelphia is and will continue recruiting selectively.

I applaud your recruiting techniques and I hope it brings only the best to Philly.

It makes me happy to see this idea being promoted so much by our city leaders. Though, it shouldn't be only the made men working with the new folks who have stumbled upon our shores. Everybody has the opportunity to help the youngsters, drag 'em around and teach them about this thing of ours. I'm sure they'd even send word home and who knows, you might have another promising associate en route.
