She holds her hand and help her to calm, she massage her shoulder and her forehead.....thinking the way Rover looking at her Boss, she felt a twinge of jealousy, but this is not the right time for that. The baby comes first, she prayed that the Boss will get through with it.

Madam, is the contractions close with each other, or have some spaces.

They seem to be speeding up...

As the ferry slowed to a stop and gently docked, Rover and Sonix pushed ahead through the crowd, clearing a lane for Kates, who was supported by violet. Rover quickly flagged down a taxi and the four of them piled in. Kates sat in between Rover and violet in the back staring straight ahead as the taxi wove through the traffic, with Sonix pointing out instructions to driver.

Glancing out the corner of her eye, she spots a car turn and begin following through the downtown traffic. The darkness began to envelop the street, but she thought she caught sight of a gun barrel. The grim looking driver certainly looked like he was trouble.

Uh... do any of you have a gun on you?

As she realizes she'd forgotten hers in the confusion, a contraction wracks her as she moans in pain and fear.

Slinking over to the small group of men and women surrounding his boss, Swayzak carefully drifts by and through the crowd, eventually seeing the exhausted yet excited face of Kates. Putting his hand on her forehead, Swayzak carefully lowered himself level to her face, before quietly talking into her ear.

"How are you feeling, my dear? I'm sorry I was late, I had a meeting that went over-schedule and I came as fast as I could after getting the news."

He growls as he sees the driver behind them, pulling his 9mm from his pocket and opens the door slightly. He fires two shots at the car hitting the driver in the shoulder, but he then sees two more cars pulling behind that one

You might wanna speed it up driver we got company

She cursed when Rover fires the shot, this is not going too well. Kates needs to be in the hospital right away without any further complications. She reached for her gun and made a quick decision, she told the driver to halt for a moment, then she goes out of the car.

Go now, I will delay them ..every minute counts.....be well Boss and I will follow you after I hopefully stop them.

She then saw the car speeds away as she fires at the other cars.

Looks back as his beloved stands in the middle of the road firing at the cars, growling he looks at Sonix-

Keep Kates safe we will join you at the hospital as soon as we can.

With those words he opens the door of the still moving car and dives out. Rolling to a stop he sprints to his love and fires a shot into an oncoming driver. Grinning at her he reloads his gun quickly

Honey did you really think I'd let you fight alone

Violet hears a big thud, and turns around ever so slightly, she saw Rover there reloading his gun. Why did he gets out of the car, did he really like Kates that much to give his life away..she then looks back at the car. She aims and fires at the wheels of the other car making sure she hit it.

Why are you here? This is not your fight, this is family business, and I as consig of Miss Kates will lay my life for her and her child.

The enemies car was hit...it screeched and stops.

PG wandering down the streets sees Violet and Rover in the middle of the way. A car stops right in front of them. She quickly grabs her 9mm Colt and loads it. She runs up to them.

'What the hell is going on here?'

DC hears the comotion from the streets he sees PG and Rover taking shoots at a rew cars, running towards them he pulls out his two .45's and unloads on the cars duckin behind the cars he makes his wat to PG and Rover.

"What the hell is going on here?"

The garbled phone call Sammy had recived while cleaning up some business in town left little to his imagination as to what the situation was. He arrived at the hospital promptly after hanging up the phone, and was now there waiting with Linus Caldwell. The unwelcome sound of gunshots caught his ears and he shared a worried look with Linus. The two were relived when a famillier car scorched the sidewalk outside the hospital with dark rubber burns, before coming to a halt.

Sammy instantly dropped his smoke and approached the car, noticing Sonix and Swayzak and greeting them as he did. The doors flung open and Sammy simply took up position by the entrance to the hospital, keeping a keen eye on the streets.

Rover aims his gun and fires once more taking out an injured hit man trying to limp away. Smiling down at his beloved he takes and squeezes her hand for a second

Honey I'm fighting because not only is Kates a good friend to me, but because how could I let the woman I love fight alone. Now get ready my dear because here come some more of them.

Tommy is eating a burger right where all the gunshots are being fired a stray bullet hits his burger and it falls to the floor. "Oh now its on!" Tommy pulls out his revolver and starts firing his gun,causing one of them to swerve.He goes up to the dead driver and takes five dollars from the dead man"That'll pay for my burger you ruined!" Then he goes to order another burger.

With chaos of all sorts raging outside, Kates turns away from battle for the second time in her life. The first time was for her father. This time, it's for her son. She makes eye contact with SammyGato, who immediately rushes to her side and helps her up the stairs. As she was gently lain back in a bed by the nurses, Kates focused on her thoughts on her contractions and prayed the baby was healthy. Perhaps Naomi and Marietta could make it. If not, it would be alright. All she needed was Jack. Jack MacLeod.

She gazed down at her stomach and smiled, before the world went grey and the nurses wheeled her to a private room for the birth, not allowing anyone except immediate family inside until she was ready.

Rover and Violet burst into the hospital, Rover bleeding from a gunshot wound in his shoulder, violet a little scratched but besides that she is ok. Running up to the nurses station Rover asks where a Kates MacLeod is being kept. The terrified nurse stammers out "The second floor sir". Rushing up the stairs he sees the nurses wheeling in Kates to the birthing room. The door closes right as they reach it, the doctor informs them that only immediate are allowed inside. Cursing they take seats out in the waiting room, doctors whining about wanting to treat his shoulder. Growling deeply Rover yells at them to take a hike. Sighing he holds Violet's hand and waits for the long night to continue

Sammy watches the couple making a scene in the hall, he nods a greeting to Violet and looks back at the roof, leaning against the corridor wall. He was itching for a smoke, but refused the urge while standing in the hospital. He listened intently to the howling from within the room Kathryne had been taken into. He signed, not sure if it was anticipation or worry that he felt for his boss. He pulled himself up, wandering up and down the hallways, taking in the possible routes that any assailants would have to take to go through him, before returning to his position outside the room again.

Naomi had been pacing for several hours in the waiting room near admitting.  She had woken up the morning with a premonition and decided that if this feeling for foreboding was as on target as the last few she'd had, then Kates would be having her baby today, and it would be a day to remember.  She turned and walked the 3 foot path she'd been tracing in the floor and had nearly completed it when the admitting room door nearly exploded off of it's hinges.

"NAOMI! Kates is having her baby but there have been complications and she's not at this hospital!" 

"What do you mean she's not at thi-"

"No time to explain, get out to the car! And I hope you're armed!"

Naomi ran out after her bodyguard, mind and heart swirling with possibilities.  Was Kates ok? Was the baby ok?  She leaped into the front seat and slammed the door just as the car jerked out into traffic.

"Just got the call- it's time," the man at the other end of the phone said when the blond woman picked it up after the first ring, disgruntled.

"Oh Jesus, oh sweet, sweet Jesus," Marietta cried into the phone as her hand went limp and the jet black receiver fell from her hand with a clatter upon the mahogany wood.

"Mari? Mari you there?" Rourke's voice echoed, worried, on the other end of the phone line.

"I'm fine! I'm here!" she shrieked loudly so her faithful Right Hand could hear her as she stumbled around her office, grabbing her long, warm black coat and slipping into her tall, gray high heels. The woman had carelessly taken them off when she had settled in to her office for some late evening paperwork, and now they were costing her a few extra precious seconds in the face of an emergency.

"ROURKE I AM GOING NOW PLEASE CALL AND TELL THEM I AM ON THE WAY. HAVE GRASS AND MONO WAITING WITH A CAR OUTSIDE ASAP!" Marietta screamed again towards the wayward phone receiver as she pulled open desk drawers, looking for her purse.

"Got it," was the last muffled sentence she heard before the disconnect tone faintly filled the four, pink walls of her office.

"Oh Jesus," was all the Godmother repeated as she finally found her small gray handbag and without further ado went running through the office, whipped open the door and basically clomped down the hallway of the RIOT! Castle, her high heels making enough noise to rise an entire army barrack from their sleep.

"There was a little trouble," Grassboy called over his shoulder as he navigated the dark blue sedan through traffic at a faster than normal speed.

"What sort of trouble?" Marietta said, her green eyes narrowed. An icy chill zipped through her veins as she pictured in her mind the image of the lovely raven haired beauty that was her daughter Kates, stopped on the way to the hospital.

"She got there alright," Mono said, glancing out the passenger side window, peering into the darkening night.

"Then what the fuck happened to my daughter and grandchild?" Marietta barked, impatient and nervous.

"A couple of mooks with guns," was all Grass said in return.

Taking a deep breath, every muscle tensed in the Godmother's body as the large hospital building loomed, merely blocks away.

"I want you to hook up with Kates' men when we get there. Regroup. Find them. I want them gone," Marietta said, gathering her purse as they pulled up to the curb in the emergency vehicle station. Stepping out a young woman in a nurse's uniform shakes her head and begins waving her arms towards the Godmother.

"No, no, you can't park here!" she said, trying to use a loud and commanding tone.

"Hey, vada ad inferno, bene?" Marietta said towards the young woman, making a rude hand gesture before hitting the top of the car twice. Grass and Mono drove off to park elsewhere before she turned back towards the hospital entrance, rushing inside.

People moved by at the speed of light, rushing away towards their various emergencies. Marietta only had eyes for the reception desk, however. Striding forward she slammed her hands, open palmed, down on the desk.

"Kathryne Rossi MacLeod," she said, staring at the middle aged woman in the chair before her.

"One moment," the woman replied, glancing at a sheet of paper before turning around to begin rearranging a stack of charts behind her. Marietta blinked several times, realizing that she was being ignored. Shaking her head the Godmother reached behind the desk and grabbed the patient registrar.

"You can't do that!" the nurse behind the desk shouted as she turned back around, reaching for the book.

"I said Kathryne Rossi, and I fucking want to find Katheryne Rossi. If you're not helping me, I'll do it myself," Marietta said as she glanced down the list she held with one hand, using her free hand to swat at the woman's attempts to grab the list back. At last she found the room number, and with a sarcastic smile she tossed the papers back at the woman. "Thanks for your help, got the info I need."

Turning on her heel, the older woman navigated her way through the various hallways to find herself in the maternity ward at last. Sitting in the small, modest waiting room she recognized a few faces of associates that worked for her daughter. Stopping short when she saw them she pointed at Rover and narrowed her eyes.

"What the fuck happened on the way here?" she barked, taking in the sight of the blood, the wound.

Grimacing a little as he adjusts his position in the chair he looks up at Marietta and sighs tiredly

"Everything was fine for most of the trip. We all got on the ferry ok and it seemed like we were going to get to the hospital without an incident. But then out of nowhere a few cars started speeding up behind us. We saw their guns and knew that their intent wasn't on letting Kates get here unharmed. So me and Violet decided to give them a little distraction so Kates could get here safely. We took out as many as we could before I got shot. But by the time we started making our way here they had already retreated. I'm not sure if thats the last we've seen of them though"

Letting out a long breath he slumps back into the chair and grasps his shoulder

Sammy looked up from his post as the inevitable roar of a despairing mother caught his ears. He watched without reaction as the woman he knew from his childhood days and who worked closely with his father scorned a man he only knew by face, not name. She seemed mad, but he doubt the young man that was with Violet could have prevented anything, this would just be her emotions taking hold in a more than acceptable situation.

Shuffling on his spot, Sammy didn't call for her attention, he just watched from under his hat, still wary of the trouble  that had occurred on the journey here. At least Kathryne was safe, she was behind him, the other side of this door with professionals taking good care of her. That thought alone kept him calm. He knew she'd be safe until whatever might come for her had made its way through him, and that wouldn't happen with much ease.

Coughing into his hand, he pushed open the door that separated Marietta Rossi from her daughter, holding it against his arm he caught the Godmothers eye and nodded a greeting. A wail emitted from the birthing room and a nurse approached Sammy with intent to scold him for opening the door, but the furious face of an approaching mother soon dissuaded her.

DC turned up at the hospital with one of the hitmans blood splattered all on him, as he was walking up to the miternaty ward he sees godmother marietta, rover, violet and sammy, walking into the room he gives a nod and takes up position next to sammy at the door.

with a loud sigh he says, "That was fun eh........."
