So my "great" idea today (most of them stay in my head) is: how about an ingame calendar? Where you can set up meetings/payments/what ever you wish. Such as the payment for the city taxes, I can only guess that there are people who tend to forget such an important things.

Constuctive critism is accepted. Butcher me all you want (thread wise, not in-game) ;)

I like the idea.

Something that will remind the most forgetfull of people (including myself) of important things. Maybe not really something that will pop up and remind you of things at certain times. Just something that you can check daily or hourly or what ever. Like you would your mail or your HQ thread. I guess you could set up a back alley thread or something but that gets a little long winded and harder to find the information you want.

or you can pickup a 5 dollar calendar at your local gas station.

Yeah, but that involves driving down the petrol station and paying for either some distracting playgirl calenders or enraging cute cat calenders.

You might as well just write it out on Notepad. Or on a piece of paper next to your computer.

"I will pay X $100,000 on Friday and then shoot Y in the face on Saturday." Sign it with your name and keep it safe in a public place.

You know, I wouldn't mind this idea, as an addition to the toolbar.

As we spoke earlier, I love this idea.. Not necessary for reminding yourself what money transfers need to be made or something amongst those lines but more in the form of events that can be posted my admins, cl's , deadlines for contests.

Surely you can all write it down in notepad or buy a callendar for 5 dollars but if you would make the callendar interactive I think it could really be handy. I have no idea how much coding is involved but I'll donate those 5 dollars Anubis for an ingame calendar.

You could have several tabs. Public - Crew - Private.

I also like this idea, I am one of those people that always forget things and to be honest my desk is so cluttered with notes to myself that even if i did go and get a calender from the petrol station i would loose it,

Really, this could be a very useful addition, if used properly. Everyone would have their own personal calendar to modify events of their choosing, but it would also display announcements from the Administration (deadlines for required updates, contests, etc), while Godfathers could also add important events, followed by crewleaders and RHM with family deadlines and due dates. And Associates could post things on the calendars of those they sponsor. Listings could be public (for crewmembers to see the postings of a crewleader) or private (intended for the poster's eyes only, for personal reminders, in the instance of someone running a loan business, keeping track of their due dates, etc.)

Good suggestion, really. I'd like to see more structure on it, and then hopefully implementation, even if just in test form.

I'd like to bump this suggestion, as I think it would be a great addition to HQs. In addition to having the HQ forum, having a calendar function would be great. I don't think there should be automated mail reminders, as that would be too complicated, but just a place where members of the HQ could look at events, upcoming deadlines, etc.

Currently I use google calendar, and I'm probably assuming this is far simpler than it really is to code.

Just would like to revisit the idea that Straz brought up a long time ago.

Like many other suggestions this is something that could be worked around...

...but would be much easier to have in game.
