The Bank Job Started by: Nessa on Sep 20, '15 19:21

Nessa stood in the back of the room with her arms crossed over her chest. "Look, if you can't think of a better idea then I say we go with what Laughing_Man has suggested." she pushed off the wall and took a few steps to the table before leaning over it and looking at the map they had laid out. She put her finger on the back door of the map, "We go in late, through the back door." she dragged her finger over the map, "There are two security guards at night," she tapped the front of the bank, "One stationed here," she slid her finger to the managers office which led to the bank vault, and tapped again, "And one here." she lifted her finger and looked around the room at the faces gathered there. "They do rotations of the bank and all of the areas every 20 minutes. It takes them each about seven minutes to do a full circle." she frowned.

"I will make sure my contact still has the keys to the back door, so we can easily get in." she informed them, "But we are are going to have to be quick. It will take two guard rounds to get into the vault, but we may have to take the one out in the managers office if we struggle with the lock." She glanced over at Polo, "you still feel confident that you can bust the lock on that bank vault?" she asked him with a raised eyebrow.

Polo, aka The_Laughing_Man, had his palms pressed heavily against the table. Studying the details of the map. He pushes off it and looks over at Nessa.

"Yeah. The lock should be a cinch. Issue here is that this particular bank has security measures in place.  If any of these guards catch wind of us we may be facing a lot more heat then we want." He looks around the room. "If we do decide to go with my plan, we need to be careful. I say, 2 to 3 people in max. The rest should cover our exits, have a car ready for a quick out... and well, pray we don't have ourselves a gun fight in the streets."

Polo focuses on one of the new comers. "Any of you good drivers?"

Nessa nodded her head, "Yes, yes." she agreed nodding her head, "Less people inside, means less chance of accidents. Ideally, I'd like to keep the team inside to 4 people, but that also means the pay is going to be a bit smaller." she told him. She looked up at Polo and frowned, "Obviously, I'd like to be inside - but I can always drive in a pinch. We're taking the van, right?" she asked everyone in the room.

Report Post Tip

"This is your job, Nessa. You can be in if you'd like. Get one of the associates to drive. And yes, the Van." Polo looked over, then back to the map.

"Regardless of who's driving, we need to figure our 4. I can cover locks. And..." Polo opens his planner, "If you give me a little time I can figure out something for the vault itself. Besides that, we need someone watching the guards, whether we take them out quietly, or tie 'em up, I don't care. What do you think Nessa?"

her eyebrows rose in surprise, "Well don't let SammyGato know, but I didn't even consider tying up the guards." she said before letting out a nervous chuckle, "I'm a blood thirsty little thing, aren't I?" she asked before shaking her head. "Yes, I want in. I figure we get four people, thats two bags each." She checked the notepad on the table before glancing around, "Are we 100% sure on these figures? The bags will each hold a cool five million?" she asked. Someone murmured their agreement and she nearly laughed, "So if we do this right, end of the month right before bills are due and such, we should be able to net a cool forty five million dollars." she announced to the room.

LM looked Nessa over with a nervous caution. "Killing them might be quicker, however it brings a lot more problems to the table. Guns are not quiet, and they tend to make a mess..." He looked over the plan again. "We could knock them out. That way they can't identify us, and they will be silent for the time needed to complete the job. Plus a lot less messy."

LM crossed his arms. "And regarding the figures... Those will change depending on how the day went, but from my records the closing range would put the vault value anywhere from 35-50 Million. We could get more than we intended." He said with a smile.

Nessa nodded her head and looked at the others in the room. "LM is right, as usual." she said with a slight smile. "We'll bring the guns, just in case. But lets avoid shooting or killing anyone unless there is literally no other option available to us." she said. She tapped the map and nodded her head, "I think the plan is a pretty solid one, does anyone else have any input?" she asked the room.

...This was his first organized crime with the family and he had the opportunity to input some thoughts about it after having heard Nessa and Polo talk back and forth. Technically, he could make this crime extremely easy for them. All he needed to do was get his hands on chemicals, craft them to form specialized gas that could easily knock out and paralyze the guards, and have the job done with no complications. But that would make it all too easy for the family. Why ruin the fun? The excitement? The danger?

He always did love messing around with strange chemicals. If his father didn't want him to be the don of his own family, Femt would've become a scientist instead. Unfortunately, things happened and Femt had no way of becoming the don at this point in time... or a scientist for that matter.

"Remind me again when this is taking place? Because if we're going to attempt this within a few days, I can try my hand at creating something to knock out the guards. Nothing too potent, I'll have you know. If it's within a few hours, I can just keep watch." He was strongly hoping he could create the custom drug; it's been a while since he made anything for any reason other than 'just for fun.'

Nessa turned her attention to the other side of the table to one of the newer members of the family. She raised an eyebrow in suprise. "The plan is this Sunday." she told him. "After a long weekend, all of the businesses will have deposited their share into the bank. But with the bank closed for the weekend, no one will have had time to move the money properly." she smiled a little bit at the genius of their plan before focusing in on the man. Her eyes narrowed slightly, "What exactly do you mean by creating something?" she asked, genuinely confused.

She looked over at Polo and made a face, "Wanna see what the kid can come up with?" She asked him. Before Polo had a chance to speak she turned her focus back to Femt who was sat on the other side of the table. She picked up her coffee cup and topped off the rapidly cooling liquid with some fresh coffee from the carafe on the table. "Suppose we go with your gas, which I have to say is an inspired idea, would it be traceable?" she asked. "Because if there is one less thing for the cops to pick up on..." she trailed off giving the man a pointed look. "How soon will you know if it's workable?" she asked him.

"...!" Femt's attention shot up to Nessa. Was... was he thinking aloud again? Well, so much for keeping to himself. A sigh escaped him. "If they're smart enough to test the air around them, then it certainly would be traceable, unfortunately." That was a pretty rookie mistake. However, it did inspire something...

"But now that you mention it... there is something that I've been meaning to test. It involves the same chemical compound and..." Femt dug into his white coat and pulled out a handkerchief; there was a smirk on his lips. "This. Let the chemical stain it and you use it to cover the cop's nose and mouth. As they're forced to inhale, they start growing faint and knock out! My dad always told me it was a pretty crazy idea and it would never work, but he was never a scientist to begin with..."

Femt placed the handkerchief down. "What do you think, Nessa? Just be careful not to drench the handkerchief or anything. I never used a completely submerged napkin before and I highly suggest that we never do."

Junad sitting on the side line, digesting everyone's input and brewing his thoughts had raised eyebrows intrigued by this idea of a knock out cloth. This is his first big time move since arriving in Manhattan, aside from hiring some muscle and a handful of profitable drug deals. This was the real deal, plotting with the heavy hitters. Knowing he had to be vocal eventually, Junad decided to throw his 2 cents into the mix supporting the other new face at the table.

"I agree with Femt, as much as I've been itching for a taste of the action if we can incapacitate the guards silently we'll slide right under their noses and practically walk out with the score scratch free."

Toothpick hanging out the side of his mouth bouncing as he talks, "As far as my role, I'd be the perfect look out, Stealth is my middle name. Of course I'm willing to be placed whenever you need me though."

Honesty had heard that Nessa has been looking for two to three people to go inside the store, a driver and a lookout. While Honesty was completing paperwork, Nessa came into his working area and told him about what she was planning on doing. To be honest, Honesty did have to finish the construction contracts for the Don by the end of the week, but he figured a break from all of this desk job might be a healthy break for his working mind. He then closed his folders with the documents within them and set them in his desk drawer, where he then locked it with his key that he kept in his briefcase. He walked down the stairs and told Nessa that he would catch up with her. He went to a doughnut shop a block away and ordered a box of 12; mixed flavors. He went back towards the building he just exited and made his way to Nessa. Along the little stroll, he was thinking of what he could possibly do. Honesty loved action, but he decided to wait and see if some newcomers might want to partake in this heist. He thought it would be a perfect opportunity to integrate themselves further in our family. So, he went to seek out Nessa and found her, Laughing_Man and two newcomers in a room.

-I volunteer for driver. So, catch me up on the plans that I need to know, that I want to know and that I don't want to know.
