| Why I Ended Up in LA | Started by: jmbrust87 on Sep 17, '09 13:40 |

After working in a hotel and working for a bitch for almost a year, Jeff had finally had it. "I'm sick of this shit Jim. Debby's (The Manager of Banquets) a bitch and I'm gonna snap if she nags at me again." He heatedly says while preparing a room for a banquet with his manager Jim. "No, you're not, and why do you even hate her so much, she's just doing her job..." "That's a load of shit and you know it, she has no reason to call me out like that in front of everyone after that retard Brian broke the damn vacuum!" "Yeah, well you're not the first, nor shall you be the last to say you're gonna quit, so shut up and help me start helping me with the chairs." "You're wrong and I'm gonna do something right now." "Yeah well take that chair with you, it's broken, and if you actually quit I guess I'll have to go get another one myself." Jeff walks away wondering what he would do if he actually did quit. He arrives in her office and she's just as bitchy as ever,
Whack!!! Jeff had just struck Debby's skull with the chair. He checks her pulse. "Well that's my luck. Oh, and I quit too." Knowing Jim would eventually find this bloody mess Jeff darts out the door, gets in his Model A Ford and just starts driving, he gets on the highway and heads for a new start. Pittsburgh and the East coast didn't have any work, but he heard that they needed a group of people to control the fruit pickers and decided he would head for LA. No gun, no money, nothing. So he sold the car when he got their after making a long trip filled with robbing gas stations for gas and dodging the cops, only to find out that his brand new car would only sell for $500. "But sir, it was $900 when I bought it two months ago." "Yeah and with the cops tracing ya, yer lucky I'm givin ya 500. Now scram before I change my mind." "Fine, but tell karma she's a bitch when she comes stoppin' by." With nothing but $500 and a dream he starts walking down the street, flicking the guy off, and wondering if the place he was standing next to, the Indigo Lounge, had anything that could chase his troubles away, just for the moment. |

The next Day Jeff awakes from his near comatose hangover in front of the Indigo Lounge and attempts to get up but fails pathetically. He sees a cop walking down the block and realizes he has no chance of escaping in this state. To his surprise, the officer says, "I work with FBN Agent Drew Berry and the man across the street has been selling his drugs without paying his dues. I'm telling you this because I recognize you from the posters and you can either do what I tell you or get hauled off to jail." "How the hell am I supposed to know this is a one-time thing, and you're not gonna boss me around like I'm your little bitch?" "Since your now on posters in every police station murder and about 25 confirmed highway robberies in the past two days, you have three options. You can do what I tell you, find someone to cover your ass until your name isn't all over the news, or go to jail." "And if I resist?" "In your condition you don't really have that choice now do you?" The cop angrily articulates as he kicks one of Jeff's teeth out, "Another outburst like that and I'll haul your ass downtown for been such a smart ass. Now all you have to do is spook this guy." "What's the catch, because I know you would do it yourself if he was easy to spook." Jeff barely gets out as he's choking on his tooth. "The catch is he has lookouts everywhere and he always disappears when there's a badge anywhere near him. So I need you to be creative and scare him. You do this and Agent Berry will keep your ass covered for 48 hours, understand." "Yeah, and tell karma she's a bitch for me, will ya." Walking away wondering how he would get close enough to this man who apparently had enough guys to form a scout team, Jeff found a bench and sat down to think. When the mystery man went to make one of his deals, he got their and saw something he would never forget. The manhole right next to him lifted up and went flying towards the one of the windows at eh back of the bowling alley. Rising from the manhole, the balloon Jeff stole came rising up with a card attached to it that said, Seeing that the man was now following the string towards him, Jeff disappeared into the crowd of people walking in front of the bowling alley. The next day, Jeff was approached by the same cop. He said, Jeff chuckles, turns to the cop and flicks the tooth the officer kicked out down the officer's throat. While the officer is choking, Jeff says, |

I'm looking for some more writers to get involved in my next piece. Anyone looking to get involved, Jeff is a drunk who just assaulted an officer. I would like to get at least 4 others involved. A driver, a lawyer/character witness, someone good with controlled explosives and preferably someone higher up in the game for a reason I can't say openly without ruining the story. People interested please send me a message with an example of your writing. This next one should be much better. |

I have an explosives man, but I would stil like more people because it sounds better coming from actual characters rather than The Lawyer without a real name. |
