Something has been on Sorrority's mind. What better way to express her feelings rather than in the streets

I have come here to say, Why be so difficult. Some times, it's just not neccesairy to be difficult. When I say difficult, I say that as in if someone comes into the streets, say a word wrong, or something small like that, it become a big deal and that little "mistake" is now the whole talk of the speech. Why? I come here today to say why? Are you that pressed to come into the streets, and go around and correct everyone? Did anyone forget that we are all human and we all make mistakes? If someone were to call someone out on a mistake every single time...It would just get annoying. So what do you guys think about that?

Small mistakes are easy enough to overlook. Who hasn't stuttered, or uttered the wrong word when they've meant something else. Just this morning, I went to tell Deimne that I liked the way he did his hair, but I ended up calling him a lecherous sleazebag.

It happens to us all.

However, when someone comes out with a speech that needs clarification, or when the meaning is so obscured due to slurred or improper speech, it begs to be addressed openly so that everyone can be on the same page. After all, if people aren't understanding your intent, it negates the purpose of coming out and addressing the populous, doesn't it?

I agree if there is an error in speech for some people to come in the streets and say stuff like "LoL"??lawl???Whats it mean? Or to say "WTF?" What is whteef?? and even "OMG" what ohmge?? I want to know!

But as for a misprotunctiation...Thats ok..It happens. Shit happens...

I think it's a mistake that you keep coming out to the Streets.

Rourke quickly scurries to a nearby hotel and asks to use a phone. The concierge directs him to a phone on the wall and Rourke dials the nearest hospital. The operator picks up and Rourke frantically exclaims:

QUICK! WE NEED AN AMBULANCE HERE ON THE STREETS! SORRORITYSISTER NEEDS TO BE TAKEN TO THE BURN WARD!

Rourke hangs up in a hurry and returns back to the Streets.

I think your right, but also I think what if it's not just one "mistake" being made. It's of continuous "mistakes" being made.

Well, what I get from this is that somebody who speaks about anarchy in our world is criticized for making a mistake in their pronunciation? I believe that they should be shot for even discussing the Capo de tutti capi in such a risky fashion. They come to these streets and talk about how leadership is horrible and everybody deserves to die and stuff like that. They deserve the mocking and the ridicule of their peers, if not more.

Thanks for that. It is so true one of the reasons it took me so long to try to post a thread. Didn't want to be critised by people for any little mistake I may make.

I think you'll find that if enough thought has gone into the thread, then mispronounciation and other such mistakes will be easily overlooked because the quality of the meaning of the thread will overshadow the actual deliverance of a speech on a topic. If this doesn't hold true, and someone hops on the critical bandwagon despite the quality of the thread being good or better than good, then I suggest you just smile and wave as the individual passes by on the "special" bus because most people will just ignore the individual concerned.

Another alternative would be to just ask someone to proof read it, I'm sure someone else in your family will assist you in that if you've taken the time to write and deliver a speech.

i back what your saying 100%. I listen to all the speeches in the streets and to be honest, it's a little intimidating for a speech novice like myself to say a proper speech. all im saying is it is hard enough for some people to speak in the streets, don't kick them if they trip, much less if they're down
