Bank robbery gone wrong. Started by: Sookie on Sep 20, '09 10:56

The Grant Avenue branch of the Great National Bank is one of the smallest branches this bank has. It's not exactly a big-time bank for high rollers as it only looks after the money of regional workers. It's neither special nor really the favored target for a robbery, but first impressions can be deceiving. Joseph Girtakis, son of a Greek immigrant, runs a prosperous nightclub in the middle of a working-class quarter and every morning he personally takes the money from the previous evening to the Grant Avenue branch. Robbing Girtakis en route would be too risky, as he doesn't move a muscle without his bodyguards. The bank, however, only has an old, retired guard watching the money. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more...

Girtakis has just left the bank heading towards his bar. Toni and you wait in your car on the opposite side of the street. Nobody has entered or left the bank for more than 10 minutes. The moment has finally come. Tires squealing and smoke billowing, Toni does a U-turn and screeches to a halt in front of the bank. "Very discrete," you think as you jump out of the car, Tommy gun hidden under your coat, hat low on your brow. You march through the entrance, a burst of gunfire leaving its mark on the ceiling. The watchman reacts as if in slow motion. He wants to pull out his weapon, but the old man doesn't stand a chance against you. Your cold-blooded and determined reaction ensures that you meet no resistance when you demand the day's takings. But what's that? Outside the door sirens are screaming. Toni's screeching tires, you're shooting into the ceiling and the watchman have obviously caught the attention of the surrounding businesses. While you consider how to escape from this situation, bullets from outside the bank shatter the silence. It seems as if Toni doesn't want to give up without a fight. From the window you watch the gunfight. You decide not to exit through the front into the hands of the cops, but instead to make a go for it through the rear exit. The first cops arrive in the alley and without hesitating you open fire. Three cops aren't able to put a fight against your automatic weapon. Wounded they sink to the ground, and you earn yourself the title of "cop-killer". For 20 minutes you wind your way through the back streets to make sure that the cops lose your trail.
