"Yggy Nail" Sprout Started by: Yggdrasil on Oct 02, '15 16:47

After Yggy's encounter with Javier Hernandez, Cartel from Mexico, he decided to take precautions to his actions. His days passed by walking all over the streets of Bad Wildbad. As he walks, he's familiarizing each and every corner of the town. From main streets to alleyways, sewers to emergency routes, from day to night. He always knew that someone's watching him, assuming it's Cartel's so called, "Friends".

From doing dirty street jobs, he started doing basic daily jobs, delivering news papers, baggage assistance, issued flyers and other jobs that he gets knowledge on the people around the town. Eventually, he was known by most local as an typical teen-age boy which is highly favorable for Yggy.

Months passed, Yggy had lots of connections, specially at toll gates and port area. He got some information about shipment schedules and delivery and people going in and out of the town. He then started making his move, though he didn't played the dirty tactics, but he tried to maintain his composure. One example is playing guitar for funds at Parks, it sustained his fingers for pick-pocketing and even improved it's ability to be flexible and light.

Yggy started smuggling goods from shipments, he had the guards well bribed so it's not a huge problem for his goods to be compromised. He also knew it's guards "weak points", habits, dirty little secrets, friends and even families. So if the time comes that he got cornered, he's got a counter-punch that can knock them down in just a blow.

Years passed and Yggy was known by name Yggdrasil by fellow thugs, smugglers, thieves, and all other petty criminals around the town. He had a very special way to "communicate" with them so he can avoid exposure, specially since his very young at age, criminals may take advantage and get him whacked without a sweat.

It was a rough winter night, Yggy decided to take good days break in a nearby Tavern. As he reached for the door knob of the shops wooden door..

"You are full of potential as I've heard. Now that I've seen it, you've already proven you self."

Yggy smiled and dashed a quick turn as he draw his revolver aiming where the voice is coming from. But someone blocked his hand.

"Settle down.. kid"

A tall man appeared from nowhere. Yggy tried to check the mans face but it's too dark and adding the huge amount of snow falling, visibility is not that good.

"What do you wan't from me?"

A soft tone yet Yggy's eyes are still. He then tried to reach hes back pocket sneakily using his left hand. But then..

"Don't waste your life kid, we just want to talk. We're the Cartels.. "Friends" as he address it to. We don't mean trouble. Just business." Yggy look more calmed and took a deep breathe.

"You should have said it right away. I almost got a heart attack."

He smiled and reached for the door knob to enter the Tavern.

"This way. Let's discuss what's this "business" you're talking about."

The men followed Yggy inside and sat at the bar.

"Rick, hand these gentlemen a good shot of Vodka. Clean. Double." Addressing to the bartender. Yggy removed his hat and turn towards the men.

"You both from Guadalajara?" He took 3 leaves of tea and handed a couple for the men."

They looked at each other. Having poker faces and doubted.

"It's organic. Pure." He ate the other leaf so the men won't get him wrong. Yggy then grab a cigar then lit it up with his polished silver lighter.

"No, we're.. local. So you do have the Crest." The tall men smiled.

"what Crest?" He puffed a thick smoke then smirked.

"That lighter, one of Cartel's Crest. It symbolizes trust and honor. I really don't know what he's planning, but I'm sure it's interesting."

Yggy took a glance at his polished silver lighter and examine it carefully.

"what's so special about this?" Yggy doesn't seem to believe the story.

"Do you see a needle-hole at the bottom of that higher? If you have, try to borrow a needle and put it in."

The bartender returned with the orders.

"Say Rick, got any needle handy? Just need it real quick."

Rick looked surprised and laughed.

"You sure as weird as every Yggy Boy. Lucky for you my daughter left her "tools" earlier. I'll get back to you."

"Much oblige." *sigh*

"So is that all about?" Yggy's tone seemed to have a disappointment in his tone.

"Cartel's stories seemed to be true after all. You always rush things kid. You will never become a true hunter if you don't have patience."

The shorter man reached for a cigar and lit it with a silver lighter. It looks the as Yggy's lighter.

"Is that a Crest as well?" Yggy looked surprised.

"Yes. You'll learn more later."

Rick returned with a box full of sewing and knitting materials.

"Here you go boy. Just don't trash it. It'll get both of us killed." He laughed and returned to entertain his other customers.

Yggy didn't waste time and looked for a needle that will fit on the lighters hole.

"Jackpot."

Yggy inserted the needle and the lighters based slide off. He then removed the base and found a small piece of paper. He examined the contents and got all puzzled up.

"What are these?" The men can feel Yggy's frustration by his tone.

"Relax. We don't use ordinary "ways" of communicating. Those numbers and letters and codes for you task. This task will determine of you are truly capable in being part of the family." The men finished their drinks and left their sits.

"The rest is up to you kid. I know you can figure it out, everything written in their is all about you. We'll be back when the time comes."

The men left the tavern right away then there were 5 other men stood up in different tables, looking at Yggy. They then tipped their hats and followed the other couple who just went out.

Yggy stared at the piece of paper. He can't seem to understand anything written on it.

"Rick, toss me a bottle of beer. The usual."

Rick grabbed a cold beer and approached Yggy.

"You know what kid. If you can't find your self, try going back where you were left. Reaching a dead end doesn't mean the end of everything. You just need to go back and start all over again."

Rick winks and tossed the beer.

"Thanks for the advice Rick. You really know me well. Well not enough though."

Yggy chug up the cold beer and ate up a leaf of tea afterwards.

"Nothing beats. Thanks for the tools by the way, I need to go now. 'till next time.. Friend."

Yggy left the high seat and raised his right arm, clenched fist before he exit out from the tavern. The frozen evening seemed to be a burning event for him. He looked at the silver lighter and insert the piece of paper before securing it back in his pocket. The excitement shows in his face while he walked. He plans to go back to Wildbad forest, where everything started for him.
