I have not yet come out here to speak with all of you.  This fact somewhat ashames me, because I know that it is a requirement in some families for a man to address the masses at least once before even getting made.  I am not a man of few words, however.  Public speaking has always been one of my strengths.  I will speak at length when a topic arouses me.

For instance, I have a love of our underground world, so I have spent hours teaching newly connected gangsters the ropes.  I try to show them an example of how to handle yourself in a respectable way.  I am not sure how many of them have stuck around, or how many of them fled this world of crime, but I do not regret it, either way.  I believe that strongly in the quality and value of this world of ours, and I like to do what I can to help those that are new to it, both for their sakes and our own.  Most people support growth for our world.  I do it for friendship and reputation, but also because I am always looking to help get more guys connected.  The more people involved, the stronger all of us become.

No, I am not a man of few words, but I am not one to waste them, either.  I haven't come to address all of you so far, because I haven't had anything that I consider to be meaningful to say.  I don't want to waste everyone's time with my selfish blather that is really not for the good of anyone but myself.  But I have come here to say some things that I have been meaning to say for a while.  I think you will enjoy them.  The main idea of these things floats in my focus all day while I walk the streets conducting my business: I love this job.

:Smiles broadly at the crowd and takes a deep breath:

I love walking down an alley and hearing from my contacts that there is a cocaine shortage, making the value of the coke that I am holding shoot through the roof.  I love stopping by my comedy club to see what the joke of the day is, and who has wandered in off the street to applaud or tell some jokes of their own.  I love hanging out in our headquarters, doing busywork for the family, or tributing to or hearing from my boss.  I LOVE the successful feeling of watching the blood splash from a bullet wound that I've just inflicted.  We all love receiving a notification from headquarters that we've been promoted.  Out of respect for your time, I will stop here.  I believe this point is clear. But what I love most of all are the people that I've met and the friends that I've made.

:Looks out across the now smiling crowd:

I want you guys to know that I have all of you to thank for all of this.  From the eldest godmother to the most inexperienced thug, you have made this thing of ours as fantastic as I find it to be, and it wouldn't be the same without you.

:Begins to count out his blessings on his fingers:

The gods are kind, and it doesn't take much looking to see how diligently they take care of us.

My crew leader, KingBenny, has stood by me through tough times.  He gave me a home when mine in Philadelphia was shattered.  He is a man who would give his own life for his men, and I truly owe him mine.

My associate, Don_miklo, has turned out to be much more successful than I ever would have dared to hope.  I am proud of this man, and embrace him, among many others, as my brother.
New friends, including a promising group of new recruits, are always pushing me to challenge myself with their bright eyes and ambition.
Old friends are always pushing me with friendly competition.

So I have come before you today to thank you all for making this world the incredibly engaging and addicting one that it is.  It takes all of our individual skills, techniques, and personalities to make this world go around.  I have also come out today to express some of the things that truly give me joy in this world in hopes that others might share what it is that gives them their greatest joy or specific accomplishment during the time that they spend roaming the streets.

One final thing that I'd like to say is that I hope that I have impressed upon everyone that actual value that I place on this thing of ours--that we all should.  This is a fantastic world, and I would hope that everyone would carry themselves in a way that is appropriately deserving of such a world.  If you are not fully impressed with a committed to the nuances that would make this world live up to its full potential, I would ask that you make your living elsewhere.  Because I love my job, and I am going to do whatever I can to make sure that it continues to be as fulfilling as I know that it can be.

Thanks everybody.

Awesome wept as he heard the young man speak. He wept with tears. The man's speech was so moving. So heartfelt. So, I don't know what. But in French.

Young sir, you are so polite. The perfect mobster, I must say. With such kindness, you will indeed go far. Kudos to you. I think. I don't know what it means, but I hear it said a lot. It's probably a compliment.

Awesome cries more tears as he weeps, before silently and slowly making his way back into the nearby 7-11 and continues to beat the owner about the head with a large sack of potatoes.

:Slides up and trips twice while trying to climb onto the soapbox.  Finally, smoking cigar in hand, he gives up on the box and turns and addresses the crowd:

My brother told me many times of the pride that he had serving his family alongside his brothers and sisters of The Cheese Syndicate.  I don't understand, yet, why he felt this way, but I am taking it upon myself to carry on the family name with honor.  I ask you all to listen to the words that he said, take them to heart, and live each moment of our life here with appreciation. Ohhh, yeah!
